The Park was a success XCEPT for Mr. Creepy

So yesterday me and my neighbor went to the park by our house to let the boys play and you know me I never leave home without my camera so I got some great pics of the kids. We didnt stay too long because as the sun went down it got cold fast and there was a super creepy guy hanging around us :( He was smoking a black and mild he quoted Micheal Jackson AND he wanted to give Will a piece of candy to suck on and he kept saying suck it ewwwww! Think I may have to find a new park to go to!!!! Anyways here are a few pics from the fun. I would post more but I got to get a nap for work tonight!

I actually made something

Ok so maybe it is not the most technically correct thing ever made but by golly I made a little to go bag ( I say to go bag bc i honestly dont know how much the little thing will be able to hold). Sure there are strings here and there and the button/loop is a little crooked not to mention i am thanking God I used khaki string bc if you could see the stitch lines you would just laugh but I will wear my purse proudly bc I did it AND it only took me 3 hours (probably more time than necessary for a project like this but in my eyes not as bad as I was expecting!) I used the tutorial in the book and did a few things differently (listen to me already straying from the pattern) but I did what worked for me and I love it! This totally gives me the fire to start the little bloomer/diaper cover for Wills 1 year pics ( i have this idea in my head and hope it works out! those require elastic so who know how they will go but I am ready to give it a shot! Not tonight of course, it is almost 1 am and I need to go to bed bc I have FTM tomm and I feel so out of the loop since I missed last week and then I missed Moms night out last night bc I came down with the stomach bug. Mr. Fussy Pants

Oh my goodness has my little man turned into the fussy pants type. Where is sweet innocent Will, I still see peeks ofhim here and there but the fussy part has taken over. He of course had a tummy bug over the weekend but seems to be feeling fine now. I do think that he is teething though so maybe that is where this new found attitude has come from. I can hope right? It was actually cute at first. It is so neat seeing the light bulb click in their little baby minds. They KNOW what NO means and they KNOW they can totally get away with anything with that little toothy grin. Oh well I guess I will just have a fuss pot, no matter what I love him to pieces and that would never change I will just have to adjust to the outbursts whenever you tell him something he doesnt approve of :) Man I wish I had my flip recording earlier though it was the funniest thing I have ever seen. I really do need to record some because Will is loving to dance these days and I think we love watching it even more. So back to the story will was rubbing his eyes and seemed a little sleepy so I decided to put him in his crib for a nap ( we usually nap together on the couch so began the "tude") Well after letting him cry it out for 5 minutes or so I went back in to lovingly reinforce nap time in the crib well boy did he have other plans. he literally grinned at me pulled up to a stand and started dancing by dropping his booty. I couldnt help it I laughed hysterically which in turn caused him to chuckle and we just laughed at eachother for a good few minutes, And then of course it was back to nap time. He still didnt care for it much but he finally went down for about thirty minutes. Its little moments like these that I want to cherish forever! Now that he is up it is lunch time though so gotta go be creative???? Poor boy eats chicken and veggies pretty much all the time poor thing wheres the variety?! anyone have any ideas?

So I did a shoot this weekend for a friend of mind. she had three boys and I had a blast getting to see how much fun Will is going to be before i know it. Anyways i found myself "in" one of the pics so i tweeked it a little and the outcome is awesome (to me anyways)

Monday, Monday, Monday

So I surprised myself and made it through the work shift last night. Sometime after eating dinner (at midnight lol) I too began to get sick with this lovely bug. I texted with Joey a few times he told me Will had a few episodes overnight but all in all he was good. Me....not so much the ride home was awful I could not drive fast enough and once I was at home it just got worse. Luckily I have an amazing husband who stayed home and took care of little man while I slept ALL day every time I moved i would get sick all over but if I just laid completely still I was good. I got up around 6 and felt a little better I even kept dinner down woo hoo! Maybe we can kiss this bug goodbye but I am afraid there is still one person left to get it .....Joey :( On another note I am watching the season finale of the Bachelor without having watched any of the season and wow if he doesnt pick Tinley or however you spell he is crazy that Vienna girl seems like she is not in it for the right reasons ( if there can even be right reasons on a show like that???) oh and did he really just call her sexy eek! Ok enough being judgmental haha gotta finish the show!

Please NO Stomach Bug-WARNING- this is a graphic post

so where to begin???? I woke up today and noticed it was 730 and there was no baby in the bed...nice right well as I was about to go back to sleep for as longs as possible I hear stirring on the monitor. Will usually pouts a little and we go in there and get him well this was not the case this am I walked in his room and he was crawling around is his crib. I know this in and of itself is not abnormal but you see I smelled this horrible smell and well I knew he had pooped and just like my facebook status yesterday I knew it was gonna be bad I just didnt know how bad. So I walked over to his crib and picked him up only to find that from the stomach down literally front to back there was not one dry spot on his pjs he had diarrhea everywhere (atleast it was watery right???) Meaning it was now on me :( As I look into his crib I also notice there is barely a dry spot on his sheets and it got on the boppy :( I was horrified,not only thinking how gross it was but more importantly what was wrong with my little man! So of course I yell for back up. While I got Will in the bath i had joey help with the clean up. Apparently that was just the beginning bc when were leaving for church (already late) he did it again and had to be changed. Then at church we had a false alarm we took him to the cry room bc we didnt want to expose and healthy babies in the nursery but as soon as we got in there Joey said uh oh so I rushed to the bathroom but no poo we did however have and episode of emesis at church but it was when I was picking him up so I think he choked himself! So after church we went to eat with the family and then it was back home where we had another blow out. I just dont know what to think you see this has happened a couple times since Christmas and its always random he seems to feel fine but he has this AWFUL poop! I mean no lie it is neon green and smells like a petting zoo (told you this was graphic-sorry) Do any of you moms out there know what this could be??? Rotavirus is just about the only poop I have not seen in my nursing days and i just dont know if this could be that because of the random pattern and the fact that he has gotten the vaccine? I am more afraid that it is revolved around something we are feeding him but I havent been able to pin point a source! All I know is I wouldnt wish it upon my worst enemy! So if anyone has any suggestions I am all ears. I want to take him to mothers day out tomm seeing that I got NO sleep today but I dont know if we should go see the ped instead? I guess that is enough talk about poo though! On the other hand the reason I did not sleep was bc I was staining my door and shutters we are so close to being done with that project but our "bathroom" renovation that I was hoping would be done today will be lasting even longer we are planning on now adding a stand up shower in our half bath which will be a plus but until it is finished it is not so fun there is dust everywhere from the demo and not that I am a clean freak but geez this mess is starting to get to me (so you know it has to be bad right?!) I will have to post a pic soon, I missed out on the photo op of the toilet and sink hanging out in the front yard (insert redneck joke here) Luckily they made there way down to the street so now hopefully the garbage men will pick them up or someone will come steal them (one mans junk.......) any who back to work I go!

Ok so a few posts ago i mentioned that Wills pic would maybe be up in the new Pretty Please store, well I still havent made it up there to have a peek ( I am afraid I would do to much damage $ wise) but Kim did tag me in a photo on facebook and this is the ad that will be running in the March issue of Memphis Parent. Will is the very top right. Isnt he the cutest little monkey man ever?!?!?! Ok well I just had to share bc I am one proud mama! Thats all :)

A Fun Filled Weekend

So this weekend hasnt even officially started and it is already jam packed! I am already making mental lists of all the things to be done! I am at work tonight so I will have to go home and sleep. then I have a photo shoot planned mid afternoon hopefully the weather with cooperate. After the shoot I need to go home and help the hubby with the demo. As you can imagine my plans for having a "finished bathroom by sunday" were just that a plan that did not go exactly hoe I had hoped. Sooooo the next plan is to atleast have demo done by the end of the weekend maybe some dry wall up but who knows????I know it will all be worth it in the end but geez I wish i could just wiggle my nose and it be done! I dont even want to think about the other bathroom (which actually needs remodeling worse than this one did but it has our only shower so that will literally have to be a weekend job!)Other big things this week were Will finally saying MaMa. Ok so he still doesnt say it as much as he says dada but he is sharing the love a little more. I also attempted to use my sewing machine it was actually quite funny but he you gotta start somewhere right? I bought a book today called simple sewing for babies. My first offical product is a cute little diaper cover for Wills one year pics We will see how it turns out???? the book did say simple????? I also made a birth announcment for a friend but I promised not to post it till she mails them out so I guess you will have to wait for that one but it turned out great! well duty calls......

I got a new toy today!

If anyone remembers or cares for that matter I mentioned a few posts ago that I was going to be purchasing a sewing machine...well I did today I got this brother machine-

I liked it because it is computerized (not manual) and does button holes. The reviews were all good so I am hoping I can figure it out without to much stress. I also bought a fun book at barnes and noble it is 101 things you can make with 1 yard of fabric. Should be interesting???? I also got a little ambitious and bought a couple of patterns one for a fun tunic shirt and for a simple summer dress. They both say EASY so hopefully that means it will be?? I also got one that is AWESOME but definitely didnt say easy on it. It is more of the kind of dresses I wear all year round so maybe if I get good at this I can make me a million in all different fabric hehe. Of course this is all wishful thinking assuming I can even get it out of the box. Good thing though I bought it at Walmart so I can return it if I dont use it. But hopefully I will use it. Now I know I have some friends out there who sew and make fun JonJons (Jess) and I was wondering where yall got your pattern I couldnt find one today?

What A Day...Lord Give me STRENGTH!

Ok so I apologize for this post ahead of time and pardon the language I try not to cuss on here but the blog post is a bitch session. It is very negative so if you are not up for that PLEASE disregard. OK so with that disclaimer let me begin. The day started out at 0430 when Will decided it was time to get in our bed (that is not part of the gripe part) So anyways I dont really sleep good that often now when he is in our bed so I decided I would get up and look for my Ashley furniture warranty packet. See my in laws bought us some beautiful furniture in Ocotber 08 and they also bought us the extended warranty bc the sales lady said it covered EVERYTHING but jaw and claw-meaning animals. Well let me take a step back the furniture has not held up that well (which was fine in and of itself I mean it is a year and a half old) BUT the other day Will almost ate a TACK yes A TACK that came off the bottom of the ottoman. After this I had decide I would call them bc per the warranty we are suppose to be able to have our problems fixed and if not fixed then replaced. Ok so I searched all over and finally found the packet in a box in the attic (at 0500 in the am I know I am crazy i get OCD when I misplace things). then the next great part it says call our 24 hour customer service line so I did at 0530 and guess what they DONT open till 0800 (Something should have told me at this point that it wasnt going to be wasy this task) So I wait till 1030 and call. Well GUESS WHAT the only damn thing the ext warranty covers is "accidental stains" sooooo almost killing my child (I know dramatic but you get the point- a much bigger deal than a stain in my eyes) makes me SOL! So I decide to call the store we bought the furntiure from and they told me to call corporate. SOOOO I call corporate and have the pleasure (insert extreme disgust here) of speaking with Lajoyce (aka the devil). So I start my conversation with the devil I mean Lajoyce very politely to which she responds to me very rudely explaining I am 2 years out of my warranty. So I explain to her I havent had the furniture two year ( I guess Ashley furniture does not require math skill see buying furniture in 10/08 and calling with a problem in 2/10 may APPEAR to be two years to a dummy but if you know how to count it is actually less than a year and a half). She then explains i am out of the one year warranty (this I understand) so they cannot help me. I then again explain how serious I feel this problem is I mean a child almost eating a tack from THEIR furniture and she proceeds to LAUGH at me and again say there is nothing she can do. So I ask to file a complaint and she asks me what I think I am doing (she said this is what I was doing at that moment) So she never let me speak to upper mgmt.and was by far the rudest (insert expletive here)<---like the Pierre reference lol Ok so anyways my question is what do we do now...Hope my child doesnt find anymore crap that may fall off the furniture?
And on top of that to start the morning out we missed moms group bc i literally could not get out of bed bc my cramps were so bad. I havent had to deal with them for so long but I am afraid they have returned. Luckily I found my naproxen and they are a little more managable at the moment.
Again SORRY for the Debbie Downer post I was just literally so upset I was in tears and needed to vent! So Lesson learned- NEVER shop at Ashley furniture EVER again. Until then I am wondering if I can remove all the tacks so they cannot remove themselves!

An Impromptu Demolition

So this is our gosh awful ugly spare bathroom. The gross orange and green tile were creatively toned down with a cutesy dragonfly motif.


Original thought- Oh what cute dragonflys (previous owners were successful in their diversion techniques) Todays Thought-Vomit I am soooo over this nasty bathroom and something must be done! sooooooo began the impromptu demo by yours truly. Nothing but a hammer and a flathead screw driver (bc those are soooo the tools for the job)



After a peice of the tile cut my face i figured this was not so safe without more supplies sooooo I banged a little more but once I put a hole in the wall I wasnt so sure i was doing things correctly


After Joey got home our friends Sandra and Cliff came over to see our shutters (just realized I havent posted abouted those oooohhhhh!) After looking at the shutters the boys decided to have their turn at the bathroom and lets just say they made more progress than me but not without a few battle wounds of there own


And lastly if you notice all the mess on the floor yeah that is my job tomm oh boy. But hey atleast I know we have started which means we have to finish. Goal to finish by the end of this weekend. Not sure if that is realistic but its a very small bathroom and doesnt even have a shower so we just have to demo, put up all new sheetrock, paint and trim and then put in a new vanity, mirror, light and toilet. Easy enough right???? I will definitely be keeping everyone posted! First big Demo project of the house YEAH!

OMG!!!!!

Ok so I might have taken this pics off another blog (hehehe) but I just couldnt resist. Although I do not have them yet ( I will be getting them tomm at camera class hopefull)My new friend from class Stephanie made me these kick butt camera straps for my cameras. I mean every photographer needs and sassy strap right lol! My friend Emily and actually noticed her fun strap at the first photography class and we had to have one and it just so happened that after class we all ended up chatting (how fun right I mean isnt it crazy how woman can make friends ANYWHERE! Love it!) So anyways last week i brought some fabric to class and I was just catching up on my blogs and saw her post which included pics of my straps and as my title says I was like OMG! Dressed like a Big Boy

Did I really wake up to this????

Ok so I know I am classified in the category of "freak out mom" and I can accept this. Being a nurse either makes you always jump the gun or always wait to late. Well I am the nurse who always jumps the gun. Ok so in saying that here is my dilemma. I went in to get Will out of his crib when he stirred at 530 this am to find his left eye almost swollen shut but there are no crustys??? One night last week I noticed awful eye boogers which turned into some small drainage and I just knew his eye would be crusted shut by the am. But sure enough in the am he was fine and has been ever since but then he wakes up like this? I sure hope my litlle man doesnt have some sort of allergy we were at the zoo yesterday, I am sure it is just coincedence but I would rather it be something fixed by a med than something he would have to deal with forever. He was suppose to make up a MDO day today (and I was gonna get some sleep for work) but now I am not so sure that will be the plan I think I may call the md?? anybody ever seen this is their kids??? As far as I know he hasnt gotten a hold of anything he shouldnt have. I try to keep the dogs out of his face. I just dont know what it could be?

and speaking of pictures my wedding photographer (and Wills photographer) facebooked me today to let me know that she has done some canvas work for Pretty Please the new kids shop on sanderlin and that I should go by there because I may see a familiar face up on the wall-meaning Will. I was like OMG thats awesome. Now I cant wait to go tomm and see if his pic really is up! She also said she is using him in one of her ads that is hitting the Memphis Parent mag in the march issue. Again Yeah, it feels good to think someone else thinks my little man is as photogenic as I think he is. Ok enough going on and on Im just the proud momma of my little man!

Zoo Day!

Ok so we had such a beautiful day in Memphis today that we just had to make the best of it sooo that meant taking a trip to the zoo. I went with my sis in law and her girls and my friend Ashley and her son Tyler. It was pretty warm for the most part but it did get a bit chilly towards the end. Overall it was a successful trip I got tons of pics of the animals and some great shots of the kids. I shot in RAW today vs JPEG and the difference is amazing. I cant even begin to get technical here bc I barely know what I am talking about but RAW gives you more control editing but the files are MUCH larger so it looks like a bigger memory card is in my future!

Photo Frame Phase 1

ok so the frame was a cintage white to begin with. I wanted to do a verse from the Bible and the one that kept popping up for children was 1 Samuel 1:27 not to mention a few friends have used it as well soooo I started with black paint and the white frame and this is what i ended up with.

I dont know now if I should have painted the frame prior to doing the words. i thought it looked ok but now its just kinda plain??? I think I may go get blue and green paint and do stripes behind the writing and polk dots hmmmmm i guess if i ruin it its only like a 5 buck loss?? I decide to not use the frog bc I realized i already had a frame in Wills room with a frog on it. Oh well I will post Phase 2 once I get that far hehe. Oh and excuse the poor quality of pictures they were taken with my iphone I am actually in bed hehe! Adn if anyone has suggestions of what to add or do please tell :) This is my first stab at anything artistic besides photos sooo?

Wild and Crazy Wednesday

Ok so maybe the title is a little misleading but my goodness today felt soooo long. Maybe because i didnt get much sleep last night( I have really got to figure this thing out) so anyways we got up bright and early for moms group today. I had to get there on time bc I had the goodies for all us moms (AND I didnt burn them lol) As usual we had a great few hours except poor Will was probably ready to chunk me across the room but i held hime most of the time. He has started this habit of chunking things and I do mean chinking and with so many little babies I really didnt want him hurting anyone. I swear sometimes I am so "that" mom or as my Monday night bible study put it I consider myself a "helicopter" meaning I hover haha! Seriously though I try not to be that way but I just really didnt want him hurting anyone on accident at home he has free reign (sp?) of anything and everything. So back to the crazy day after that we came home and got a quick nap in and then I did some cleaning and then it was off to meet daddy for our weekly sushi dinner. We went to Sekisui Bartlett instead of the usual SPR this week and OMG the service was pretty bad and the sushi did not even compare sooo I think next time we will not stray. We only went to the bartlett location anyways because after dinner we headed over to my sister in laws to check out some SUPER CUTE clothes for Will from his MiMi. I am soo calling myself a hypocrit at this point bc I do believe my words this time last year was that my son would not wear fru fru clothes. Ok so then last summer he totally wore bubble suits ( I gave in and he was soooo cute) but then i said he would soooo not wear that stuff after his first birthday. Well ladies I am once again eating my words bc the clothes we got tonight are smocked and are jons jons and are FABULOUS. I am not saying he will wear these everyday (am i going to eat these words we shall see) but for special occasions and outings I will definitely be putting him in them. We got dump trucks, palm trees, frogs, cars, a fourth of july outfit and some more sutano which is the best baby lounge wear ever! I am pretty excited for summer now bc I can wait to show him off. I am still not sure about the fru fru white shirts that go under the jon jons poor kids who do have to wear them. I am leaning more toward just a plain white tshirt but I think for xtra special occasions we may wear them? who knows, it seems like I am always going back i what i say I will NEVER do haha.
On another note would you like to know an AWFUL fact i found out today. First off let me start by saying I had already decided my kid would not be a Happy Meal Kid. Of course times will arise where he may get one but it is not gonna be a go to meal by any means. Well this fact has got me even rethinking my occassional Happy Meal Days. Did you know that Happy Meals ( I am guessing Mcdonalds in general but the example used is a Happy Meal so I am sticking with that) has soooooo many preservatives that it wont mold. A friend from Moms group has a business dealing with health juices (not sure exactly but not the point of this blog) anyways she has a 3 year old happy meal for her business presentation next week that is NOT molded. YUK! just the thought makes me vomit in my mouth! Soooooo although I know I am far from a health nut that will make you think twice before heading to the drive thru. It does make me wonder if Taco Bell does the same thing lol I could never part with that random run for the border here and again :)
Ok so lastly when I was at Joanns yeasterday getting fabric for a little project my new friend is doing for me (pics to come soon) I did my usual go down every row of a new store and I found a super fun project. Not sure I can make it look good but you know all the super fun phot frames out there well I am going to attempt to make one and I am gonna post the before pic now and well you get the idea. I bouthg two to make so I am hoping atleat one turns out. But until then everyone is asleep so I am gonna close my eyes now and hope to be asleep within a few hours :( Boo Insomnia!

Where did the time go?

Well I would like to say that I havent been posting because I have just been so busy cleaning house or something productive but the truth is I have just been exhausted...(and NO I am not preggers Jess lol) I picked up and extra shift at work last thursday then worked fri and my usual sunday and even added a "crazy night" out into the mix on saturday night so my usual slumber patterns were very interuppted and well as much as I hate to admit it I am just now getting back in the land of the living right now today at 12 yes I slept till 12 (not straight sleep of course i do have a 10 month old. I didnt go to sleep until after 3 bc i just couldnt sleep sucks right?!?! I love working the night shift but the aftermath is a little much sometimes. So anyways enough about my sleep patterns I know it is just soooo exciting. But what is exciting is that I am thinking of getting a sewing machine? Just a little one not the monogram stuff I will still be enlisting friends for those projects I watched a friend making something one night and decided very quickly i did not have the patience for anything liek that so im not sure i will even have the patience for a simple machine but i figure its a cheaper option to go with. I want to make little shorts to go with all the shirts i will be having made for will and maybe other simle things . Who knows i am always changing my mind but right now I am thinking it sounds fun???? Anyways i think that is about it around the Bousson household- it did snow again yesterday and they were HUGE flakes so i bundled Will up and jumped out there to see if I could get pics of him and the snowflakes but my camera would either focus on one or the other (probably operator error) so they are cute pics but not what i was going for? Guess I can leave you with those!

Valentines Party at FTM

Ok so I just always have a blast at my weekly moms group meeting but today was just tons of fun! We celebrated Valentines Days so everyone was passing out Valentines and it was just too cute. Will even made Valentines and cookies (ok so you caught me I made the valentines and cookies lol) and passed them out to all his friends. We even made Valentine cards for the dads since they dont get to have as much fun as we do every week. We gave it to daddy when he got home from work tonight and he loved it and put it on the fridge! I tried to get some pics of everyone but i obviously had my settings off bc everyone looks a nice shade of yellow (thank you crappy lighting) we touched on this last night in my photgraphy class so i have been playing around with the settings (obviously didnt get them right today) but as always indoor photos dont really do it for me I like the good ole outdoors and natural lighting! speaking of which I have a little something up my sleeve that I will be revealing soon (maybe tonight, maybe this week) so stayed tuned for the BIG SURPRISE! Other than that I cant say that too much has been exciting to blog about around here so i must go work on operation:talent (hint hint) Cant wait to share with everyone!
