What A Day!

Wills Baptism

Will was waving back to Father Bruce

Making the sign of the cross on Wills head

Ok so WOW I just so happen to turn on the evening news in between catching up on my tivo and what do I see? A story about the biggest crib recall in i dont know how long? And what brand is it???Storkcraft?! Did I hear correctly, am I really seeing that they are recalling my childs crib on national television for its risk of suffocating children? Oh but I should feel so safe because they are sending a free "repair" kit?! I think NOT I dont care how I am suppose to fix it but I dont think I will ever be able to place my child in this crib again! I guess the silver lining is that I havent exactly been putting him in his crib I mean my intentions are good but well he is a snuggler and my heart just melts when he cries in his crib sooo luckily he has been in our bed and not his crib for most of our life so he has been out of harms way. You can see the whole recall info here at their website storkcraft.com. Luckily we contacted the store that we purchased the crib from and although we dont have the box we do have our online confirmation number so we can return the crib for a new make/model which we have already picked out so I will let you know how it turns out. Now onto the highlight of the weekend This weekend was Will's baptism and so many of our friends and family joined us on this special day. Will was so good until the very end when i think he had enough of the paparazzi (aka mom) now I know why (keep reading). After the baptism we had a big family lunch and then Joey and I went to Babys r us to do a little Christmas shopping for Will. We found lots of goodys including his big gift the fisher price barnyard (its kinda like the girls kitchen/house) but its a barn for a boy. so I am slowly checking off my list and checking twice lol! I cant wait for the holidays this year. It is going to be such a special time this year with our newest edition getting to experience all the reasons for the season! But I am afraid I must go motherly duties call oh but before i say goodnight if anyone knows where I can get a cute stocking PLEASE let me know I so need a stocking for Will!! Oh Wait I almost forgot to explain why Will was a little fussy on Sunday, he was also a little fussy today so after bath time I happen to get a peek into his mouth and there are 2 more teeth that have broken the skin so he now has his two front bottom teeth and now he is working on his two front teeth on top needless to say it is making him a little grumpy! But i must say he is being a trooper,oh and he has officially realized that he can crawl wherever he wants for the longest he only crawled when he got really excited about something and had to get it but not he just wants to explore!

Whats going on around our house

I got my baby legs on so I keep my knees safe but I do that anyways by trying to stand up!

Jude gets a little jealous so this is his close up (while i was trying to snap a pic of Will)

We Love some bathtime

I also love my books!

Geez cant I just have a sip (nope)

So we have been having lots of fun around the Bousson household. Will gets into everything but he is still slow enough to catch i dont know what we will do when he decides to just get up and go. Currently you can hear a squeal of delight and then hes off but I am afraid sooner or later he will not give us such a warning! He loves his Mum Mums they are little rice husks that dissolve easily so it is mommy stress free and keeps him occupied for a while. I think I have already blogged about his sippy cup...he loves it so we are saying bye bye to bottle before he really has a chance to grow attached to them. I of course watch him eat to make sure he doesnt choke but it is nice to have about 15 min where he is in a zone of feeding to actually think about breakfast for me b/c I cannot tell you how long it has been since i have gotten to eat breakfast. We are sinking into a routine and it feels good we have about 2 naps a day and a consistent eating pattern. Life is good :) But Monday morning we hit a little bump in the road. I woke up with a cold and Will woke up with a rash all over his cheeks! At first i thought teething but then it spread all over his face and we didnt know what it could be?! I called the dr and they gave me the dose for benadryl. So after meds and a not so good nights sleep (he was up every other hour) we were rash free! That was until we got out of bed and the once face rash turned into a whole body rash including swelling. Wills poor hands looked like the stay puff marshmellow man! Of course me being the freak out mom called the dr asap, I mean I didnt want his airway to swell and impair his breathing after all his chubby cheeks were now chipmunk cheeks stored full of acorns for winter! They told me to increase the bendaryl dose and bring him in so that is what we did. It made me feel better that the dr agreed with me that he was extremely swollen (and this was a couple hrs AFTER the benadryl) he said that he had a viral induced uticaria meaning basically an allergic reaction to a virus. So now we just have to let it run its course and if its not gone in a week we go back. But good news is so far this morning we are rash free and just a litlle puffy and a little more chipper than the past two days! But I believe Will is trying to tell me it is lunch time so tata for now. Wills baptism is this Sunday so i will be posting pics soon :)

Having some fall fun outside I loved all the leaves

Uh Oh Mom Help!

Look what I can do-You guys are in trouble now

Zoo trip

What a Wonderful Season
As always the weeks seem to be flying by! Lately we have been kind of lazy just staying around the house and not running so many errands (that keeps me from spending money) Today we played outside and went for a walk. we even used our neighbors tree swing to play in. It was so gorgeous outside I dont think that I have ever really trully stopped to watch the leaves fall it was so gorgeous! Will seemed to enjoy it, I think his favorite part was the swing (see video at bottom of blog entry). We may have to get one of these for our own tree!
Will has begun to grow in so many ways, obviously in size I bet he is over 20 lbs now, he is also crawling everywhere now at first it was a inchworm crawl but now its a full on get up and go. Just the other night he was sitting up and i asked Joey if he had sat him up and when he said no we quickly realized that he had sat himself up...uh oh! In just the past day he has decided he wants to try to pull up luckily he hasnt completely figured it out on his own ( I wont lie me and Joey put him up in the above picture but he was just too cute acting so grown up) I find it so fascinating how quickly they can pick up on things. Will has also found out he has a voice so he makes lots of funny noises he has said dada like twice but he definitely doesnt know what he is saying yet. I think that is about it for now but I am sure he will do a whole new set of things by the next time i blog! Thats just about all i have to write about for now Joey and I are still waiting to hear on a few "oppurtunities" we are both wanting but for now its just a waiting game, our philosophy is whats meant to be will be so until then we will just pray that everything works out the way it is suppose to . Well it is almost midnoght and we have FTM in the morning so Good Night!

What a difference a night makes

Well I cant say that all my blah feelings have gone away but I will say that once I decided to give it all to God I suprisingly woke up with possible answers to my questions this morning..crazy huh? Not really I dont think I ever really doubted I just didnt hand my worries over sooner. Its crazy what happens when you open your heart. Now I dont know that things will work out the way that I would like but just realizing the possibilities out their has boosted my spirits. I think it helped also that Will slept in his crib from about 10 to 4. He did so good, he probably would have stayed in there at 4 but he seemed wide awake and well I was simply exhausted and gave in by putting him in the bed with us. But hey we have made progress! Today is another beautiful fall day so I think that we will be enjoying by going to the Zoo with my sis in law Jenn and Wills cousins Maggie and Evie. Pics to come for sure!

Is it really November already????

I cannot believe we are reaching the end to another year, where has the time gone? This year has brought so many changes to my life and it has seemed like a whirlwind. You try to take in every second but everytime you turn around another month has flown by. This year I became the mother of a wonderful baby boy who is now 6 1/2 months old, I shared a 2nd wedding anniversary with my amazing husband and I have joined 2 new moms group ( the first group adopted me and the second group I joined seeing that Will would probably appreciate playing with kids he can keep up with the first moms group had big kids because they had been together since their kids were Wills age. I love them both and I am so glad that I am getting to worship with such amazing women and moms!
On the same note however I feel that I have found myself in a bit of a rut. Maybe its just something us women go through but geez its totally like the title of the book we r reading in moms group -My bathtub is overflowing but i feel drained- I am feeling well VERY drained. I am so thakful for all the God has given me I just feel myself at a loss of energy I am so busy trying to wear the many hats of life (mom, wife, housekeeper, nurse, etc.) that i feel as if life is passing by without and true get up an go from me. I think the only thing I really give my all is Motherhood but I know that that is not all that I should be doing ( lets just say I have let myself go I have grey hairs unpedicured toes and quite the spare tire and I dont mean the one for my car lol) and its not just that funny remark either its just a general feeling of blah!
Its times like these that I begin to dislike working weekends I have not been to church since I started back to work and well to put it bluntly I feel that maybe that is the motivation that I am lacking I need some spiritual intervention! Mothers group gets me by but I feel that I am needing more time with God-Does anybody know any bible studies and or services during the week at their church I would really like to find something out there to pick me up!
But enough of the Debbie Downer talk and onto the highlights of life right now (the "my bathtub is overflowing" part of the title. Will is officially a crawler and he as even went from crawling position to sit up position all on his own-he is such the big boy. We are having trouble getting him back to his crib and not our bed but I know it will happen in due time. I have recently started to take my love photography to the next level. I have begun taking pictures of my friends and coworkers children and well I love it so much. I really hope that I can excel at it and do it more often! Halloween was a blast I got to share the evening with family and friends. I am going to make and honest effort to make a little me time in the near future as well as a little married folk time I know that although it will be hard to not make mommy time my top priority but I am feeling that if I can make myself more well rounded it will lead to a better Cassie to share across the board in every hat I try to wear! Whats that phrase they say on tv Admitting you need help is the first step lol I am not sure that anyone even reads my silly little blog but getting everything off my chest makes me feel better already! Now off to dreamland in the bed minus one occupant (because he is actually asleep in his crib) woo hoo the battle stands Will 1/2 Mom 1
