New Toy/Karma is a......

Ok so I know it may not seem that exciting to anybody but me but I am SOOOO excited about the DEAL i got on this canon powershot. First off this was one of the first cameras i ever had (and like ever other camera I've had I wore it out) I now have my big bad 40d but for the "nights out" or quick trips i dont wanna get my big camera out for i really needed a smaller camera. I had the underwater capable olympus and yes the underwater aspect is awesome but knowing what i know now the picture quality leaves a lot to be desired. And I know this camera will not produce near the quality the dslr does but i needed a new one and this was the winner. the story to how I got to this though was quite funny.
Too get started i got this canon deluse set for 149.00 YEAH it came with camera (199.99 alone) the pink case (20.00+) and a memory card (20.00) so I saved 100.00!!!! With that being said i must start at the beginning i stood in the electronic department of target for what seemed like days I was looking for a cheap camera (you would think I would know better but it is just for fun) i looked at nikon, samsung, koday, etc. I really wanted the canon but i didnt want to spend 200+ soo i debated. Then a girl came up to buy the canon and the guy told her he had a deluxe kit (as described above) so she took it well then I just had to have one bc the display canon was blue and this one was pretty pink and it came with everything so I figired it was worth the splurge. So as the guy is ringing me up he tells ne its 149 blah blah and i was like OMG yeah me! So as I walk out to and get into my car i get so excited and call the bunny to tell him about the heck of the deal i just got. As I am leaving target i literally get this gut feeling to check it out see i have left target and got home with a USED coffe pot before so since i wanted the camera for Zoo Brew which was last night i decided to stop and give it a one over. WEll as I do all looks well except i notice the camera in the boxis BLUE no biggie but the i see that is is scratched and dented. OOOOHHH I was sooo mad, so I storback in and they of course refunded my money they of course then didnt have anymore so then they call the colonial store and they have one. So i drove all the way over there just for them to tell me that it is 179.99. So not my day so i explain i just paid 149 so after a few minutes of persuading they decide to let me have it for 149!
Now where does the Karma come well you see this experience made me remember a not so nice moment during my pregnancy where i might be considered the inconsiderate person on the other end of the exchange. While getting Wills nursery ready we put down a black shag carpet (not real shag but close to it) it was soo cute until one of the dogs PEED on it! If you know me you know that i am very bad about smells I have a million glade plug ins and I still feel like my house stinks Im OCD about smells. So as soon as I knew there was pee in the nursery thats all I could smell and I was soooo upset! So in my 8 month pregnant glory I rolled the rug back up and went and returned it to get a new "non pee" one. So now you see that Karma does exist lol I am proof. And if you are reading this and you are the current owner of my pee rug I apologize to you because I now know what it feels like to be on the other end. HaHa Hope I havent offended anyone with my story just thought it was too funny to share :)

Mud Island and fevers....

Meet the latest swimsuit model hehe

He is such a water baby

wasnt so sure about the cold water at first but then he was all over the place
So this morning was so fun we woke up around 7 and i gave Will a bottle he was a little whiny in bed (not unusual) so i put him in bed with me and then come time for us to wkae up and get ready for MOBS he didnt wanna wake up, it was actually kinda funny. So after we got up we gotta ready and headed down to MudIsland to play in the Riverwalk . As you can see from above we had so much fun. Will played and played in the water and then we all had a yummy lunch (the babies that is- I was starving by the time i left) Will even introduced Tyler to strawberry newtons he loved em as much as Will does ! After we left I was gonna stop by work and fill out some direct deposit paperwork but Will was passed out so i just kept on driving. When i was almost home i decided to order Chilis for lunch...YUM they have this new corn chowderish soup (sooooo yummy even though it sounds awful) so i got it and a salad oh and dont forget the chips and salsa. It was a yummy lunch and then Will and I took a LONG nap but when I got Will out of his crib he was SUPER hot so i took his temp and he was 102! I of course in true Cassie fashion started to freak but then it hit me that a-my child always runs high fever and b-he has all the s/s of teething (runy nose, cough, loose stools and hands in mouth) he is happy go lucky and i think i felt some teeth under the gums but I went ahead and called the dr anyways. They said the usual watch him and if fever doesnt go down bring him in. She also said they are seeing tons of viruses this year sooooo hopefully its just teeth the tylenol has seemed to already work adn tylenol never works so im hoping thats a good sign! Maybe we will get more toothers in a few days :)

Birthday Fun

So today we FINALLY met back up with our FTM group to celebrate with some Birthday Fun, it has been too long thats for sure. WE met up at Shelby Farms and I was afraid it was gonna be SUPER hot but we were in the shade and it was just fine. Will didnt even sweat (bless his heart he is so hot natured). Will had fun playing outside and while all the other little children were playing nicely on the blanket my child was heading for the woods, which didnt make me feel any better as I was taking the group shot and as i looked through my camera lens i noticed my child was missing-great mommy moment huh?! He was missing though he was just jammed in the middle of everyone :) After our shelby farms fun we headed to Target to pick up toothpaste and now wouldnt you know that i did not get out of there without baby junk (most not needed) workout cloths (bc you know me i am sooo athletic) and then my toothpaste lol told you guys you cant get out of Target without a 100.00 tab! I also am in the market for a small digital camera. I have my great big one but my little one i usually take for adult fun nights has seen better days and i want to reinvest in a new one. Does anyone out there recomend a particular brand/style? ive had a canon powershot and an olympus. I loved the canon but dont really wanna drop 200.00 on a camera that i will hardly ever use and i loved that my olympus was an underwater capable camera but the pic quality was terrible! soooooo after taking a peak i liked the new kodak easy share (it even has an upload button straight to fbook watch out!) but i am not sure if kodak is a good camera. so if anyone out there has any suggestions please send them my way.
Well guess I should get back to editing pics from last weeks sessions :)

Mudbugs

Seriously there is nothing cute about this face yet it never ceases to show up in those late night pics

thats a HUGE crawfish

my first ever mudbug

lots of mudbugs
So as I am sure you can tell we had so much fun at the crawfish boil. good times were had and it was fun to take casual pics for a change i dont think I have done that in a while. i love my shoots but i was noticing my personal collection (un Will ) was getting a little thin. Me and my neighbor are actually talking about putting together a shin dig (sp?) fo rthis summer but guess we will just have to wait and see.

Excited about the possibilities

soooo me and Joey talked about it today and we may be taking a trip with my sister to Colorado at the beginning of July! We both thought it would be really fun (minus the VERY long car ride with a one year old) but we are up to the challenge....possibly. There are still things we need to figure out like can we afford to take two trips this year etc. but I think it can happen. I am literally just thinking of all the pictures I could take lol (you know me!) On top of that fun news I also experienced my first crawfish boil last night and let me tell you it was sooo much fun (pics to come) Will stayed with MiMi and Poppy and we headed to Collierville to partake in the fun festivities. I have never been to a crawfish boil so it was a new experience but i iwas familiar with the corn hole and beer pong that was being played...EXCEPT I dont remember there being so many rules in beer pong??? Oh well I only played once, I lost and I know my limit and lets just say those wouldnt have gone good together haha! It was a good time but i sure did love seeing my lil man at church this morning :) I feel bad the past few weekends we have actually "gone out" and left him with our families quite a bit. Up until he turned one we hardly left him at all. I guess I am finally getting comfortable with the fact but After last night I was thinking we need a break from all the "fun" and then I realized we have plans this weekend and the next. I know I will have fun but at the same time it seems like a lot of going and doing. this friday we have Zoo Brew at the memphis zoo. I have never been and I am really excited about going and then the following weekend is Italian Fest. The Hubby is participating in a tent this year so I am sure he will be there all day everyday but as for me I will have to figure out what I am going to do . I wanna take Will (we can walk from our house) during the day and then maybe have some "adult" time friday night but we will see. I will say after that though that a much needed break will be taken.
today was also fun I put Will in his kiddie pool for the first time. He has already been in the grown up pool this year but this was his first experience in our backyard. He didnt seem to thrilled with it which was fine with me because there is something about outdoor pools like that that just gross me out( I know crazy right) . There are a few things i completely hate that make me laugh when I think about how there arebound to happen with a kid. Just to name a few....
I hate outdoor pools...why? Bc when you get out of them (like Will did today) you get dirty icky grass crap all over you and track it everywhere :) I also hate giving kids snacks/bottle in the carseat/stroller (but i do I am not that evil) bc of the AWFUL trashy mess that is left behind...yuk! I hate Milk and even more so the look and smell of sour milk (not a good combo when one of us forgets to grab a bottle or find one we didnt know was lost *vomit*). so those are just a few I can think of now but I am sure there are more. But to follow up with the yuk here are some of the things I LOVE.... hearing Will on the montior in the am and peeking around the corner just in time to see him get so excited that I am coming to get him, watching him "pop"out his paci whenever he sees abottle it is literally soo cute, watchin ghim try to walk and wave adnd say "BYE BYE" everytime we walk out our front door. he is such a character and he just keep growin everyday!. I plan on uploading lots of pics tomm after work.

Having It All

so I came across a great blog post this evening and wanted to share a bit, and to think i didnt think anyone out there felt the way I did...

"Have it all.
When I was young and stupid, I once got drunk and climbed on top of a 6 foot amp in Miami's Crobar (Insert the ATO house here for myself) and danced, let's say, rather expressively until I fell off (got yanked off by a sorority sister) and almost killed the guy underneath me. I should have been embarrassed, but it was one of those close races between completely mortifying and ridiculously funny and, given the way my arms flapped to save my fall and the way my legs landed all cock-eyed like one of those crime scene chalk drawings, it was an undeniable victory for Funny. Let's face it. Being a few sheets to the wind in your 20's wearing something fabulous and believing that, whether or not your mama gave it to ya, you're shakin' it...well, that's fun. Irresponsible, possibly...but still fun.
Then you get married and have kids and wearing something fabulous means nothing more than not wearing pajamas and shakin' it refers only to the way you have to wiggle your butt to weasle it into a pair of pre-baby jeans (Oh so true). You have girlfriend nights here and there where, sure, maybe you'll grab a bite to eat, slam a beer or huddle around someone's coffee table swapping birth stories or comparing milk supplies but, for the most part, gone are the days of collapsing on amps and chalk drawing landings. And rightly so.
But, then there's this secret appetite for it that dwells within. You feel it once and awhile--when you're in the car and this fantastic jam comes on. And you catch yourself tilting the rearview mirror down to reapply some lipgloss. And you want to dance, but you're in a seatbelt so you just imagine yourself dancing (now I never do this LOL). And in your mind, you've got moves that clear the crowds out to one big circle where they're all standing there around you screaming your name, clapping to your fabulousness because you are, most certainly, the World's Best Dancer (Oh God, please tell me I'm not the only one who's had that dream.)-NOPE your NOT You feel it when you're watching a movie and you see a bunch of girlfriends laughing, dressed like goddesses, throwing their hands in the air and their hips to the rhythm of some hypnotic beat that trances you into sucking the marrow out of life. And right when you're about to jump off the couch and join them, you trip on a Playdoh can or feel your milk coming in and you remind yourself that you're a mom. And moms stay home and love on their babies and know that life is really about family and home and reading Goodnight Moon. Moms don't wear heels and moms don't go to clubs and moms don't shake their hips to hypnotic beats.
Or do they? my favorite new quote!
So, I confess. I felt the appetite. The sirens were calling and I wanted to feel it again...to see if I still "got it." And as Saturday night approached and our arranged GNO loomed closer, I strangely was riddled with this guilty confusion. I wanted to wear sexy jeans and cram my toes into crippling heels but at the same time, I wanted to put my girls to bed and fall asleep to nothing more than the rhythm of their breath. I wanted to wear red lipstick and jam in the bathroom to Madonna while I pulled curlers out of my hair for our pre-night pep rally, but I also wanted to pretend like I was too good for this folly--that I was far too mature and in tune with what really matters than to fill high school cravings for dance clubs and daquiris...." and it goes on you can read the whole thing here @ http://www.kellehampton.com/

Its so funny how sometimes reading someone elses thoughts make you feel a little better. and I dont know about any of you but in the car I feel the "beat" a lot...then I try to make sure nobody saw me shaking it hahaha. I have to admit though I havent really let myself have "girls night out" since Will has been born.me and Joey have been out a few times and I think the first time I have really let loose was at BBQ Fest and it was really fun but then you go home and remember what really matters. So I know eventually I will find the middle ground or the best of both worlds but until then I can ease my internal struggle with myself knowing that there are other moms out there who have those urges too.

Who wants a Rebel?

Ok so as a lot of you know I upgraded cameras a while back, I had a canon rebel which was awesome but i bought a 40d because I was venturing into amateur photography (moving towards the professional end). the guy I bought my camera from said to keep my rebel bc i never know when my new camera might need servicing and it could be my backup...Well (and i will probably end up eating my words soon) but I havent touched it and I just feel that someone else could be enjoying it the way I did. Not to mention if I sold it I could get my flash I have been dying for (to boost my indoor shots). so after doing some research I found this on google products

http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=canon+rebel+xti&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=10031034198498442014&ei=WT_3S_WoLcyB8gbWgvi-CA&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=3&ved=0CBwQ8wIwAg#

And basically it told me that my camera is going for almost 400 bucks used (395 to be exact) so I am thinking of selling it for around 300-350 or anywhere in between there. If I have more than one offer I will try to be as fair as possible and do a random number generator like I see on all the other blogs so if you know anyone interested in a slighty used camera tell them to email me. I can even throw in a 4g high speed memory card for an even 375 (the memory card alone is like 45). I think thats it Hope this sparks someones interest :)

No Greater Joy

So maybe its just the mom in me but i totally just teared up while watching my husband get our son to sleep they were giggling while putting on pjs and then cuddling while drinking the night night bottle. It is the simple things in life that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside (again crying while i type this) just had to share what happiness i feel on the daily basis with my blog family :)

Back to the real world

So the above pictures are about all we have seen of the outdoors lately. We took the one week hiatus of all activities and then this week it seems like we have been stuck around the house again eek! I have had a few photoshoots and we have run a few errands but other than that we have still been a pair of hermits....WE MUST GET OUT soon. I am afraid that wont happen until next week though I am sure. We have a photo shoot tomm and then fri i work. We have lots to do sat and the sun its back off to work. So nect week my goal is to get out of this house. Start our daily walks back up (I hope to meet up with my FTM's for this) and actually make some of the arranged playdates. Will hasnt seen his FTM friends in weeks is seems and I am craving some adult conversation! One thing that was keeping me in to was getting caught up with all my photo editing from my recent shoots and I am proud to say that I am caught up so again one less reason to stay inside. Hmmmmm maybe I will even have a playdate at my house next week???? Good thought I will have to send out an email about that one :) Oh well it is way to late and I have to be up way to early so it is bedtime...goodnight! Oh one more thing though Will started taking steps again today. He took some here and there last week and then got sick but today he was back on track so I am afraid we will have a walker before we know it!

and a VERY Special Thanks goes to.....

Natalie (the Stickles blog under blogs im following) for coming up with some of the cutest logos for me. I must admit I was drooling over a blog friends/fellow photographers logo (yes Claire I am talking about yours ) and decided my puny (sp) dragonfly and font were not so fun , so anyways onto the good part, soooo I asked Natalie if she could throw me some options together. You see she made everything for Wills birthday party so she was the first one I thought of for this new task. And as if i had any doubt she did NOT dissapoint! I am in love with all of them and cant decide, so I will probably end up using all of them but i wanted to get my blog friends opinion on which you liked best. All of them were made by Natalie except the very top right i made that one but i am so not creative so i wasnt sure about it. I think the bottom one is my fave so if I knew how to make a super cute voting thing like all my friends do I would put it on here BUT I dont so just leave a comment and let me know which one you like :)

Adventures in ice cream

A Day With No Sleep and No MDO

Ok so my day wasnt as awful as I was expecting it to be but I definitely dont want to go through another monday like today for a long time! You see i explained in my previous post today but long story short Will didnt go to MDO bc he is still symptomatic. So instead I got to take care of him with literally NO sleep under my belt. The last time this was attempted was when I first started nights prior to MDO and it did NOT go good! Seeing that I dont remember the entire morning I am already starting off on a bad foot. I put Will in the crib but got him out at 11 and I woke up again at 1 luckily he took a nap with me. We then got up for the day. I though I was doing pretty good until this happened....

I definitely did NOT give him this bottle lol but it didnt occur to me that this was incorrect until i got all huffy and puffy bc the top would fit on the bottle (no wonder?!?!) And i must admit this pic was an after thought. At the exact time this happened my mind wasnt on the photo oppurtunity so after lunch time I came back a recreated the scene. after that I pretty much edited photos all day to keep myself awake. Will seemed to feel better this afternoon but his rash is still crazy weird! And then after dinner tonight his face started breaking out but he ate food that he has literally eaten forever so i would think if he was going to have a reaction it would have already occured. so I gave the good old motrin benadryl combo and off to bed he went. And bedtime went much better tonight since we have the boppy back. It is apparently Wills comfort blanket its just not a blanket the past two nights without it have been long but as soon as we put him in the crib tonight he was out! So now I thought I would post real fast a get back to editing bc although I said I would not be editing tonight I am bc I am just having to much fun with my new tools.

Finally got to use my new actions and can i just say....

pure awesomeness! Ok so technically this pic doesnt even have an action on it its sooc with a tad bit of contrast and bw but i am throwing around some new logo ideas and wanna know what you think. I actually made this one but my blog friend Natalie (The Stickles) has put some together for me and as soon as i know its ok to share i will be posting those too to see what you guys think i mean after all it has tobe cute and catchy so I will need feedback to find out which one that will be :) I have gotten lots of editing done today bc that is the only way I can stay awak poor Will still has a low grade fever so i was to afraid to send him to MDO today not to mention the rash is stil present and im sure that wouldve scared some folks so after two nights of work (sat and sun) and one night of fun (fri) I am SOOOOO ready for bed so there will be no late night editing tonight ha. But i do plan on updating the photo blog too so be sure to check it out!
Family news: Will has been taking 4-5 steps at a time more frequently until he got sick and puny so i am sure once he feels better we will pick up where we left off which means walking in no time I am afraid. I mean i am happy but like i have posted before this brings so many changes, guess i should start preparing now! And the craziest part is he wont walk to me and Joey he will be sitting in the floor look up at the celing start laughing, getting all excited and just stand up and walk with hands in air to the invisible..... fill in the blank here bc i have no clue (I just hope its casper the FRIENDLY ghost lol) And then my friend last night at work tells me how she watched a documentary and kids who do this are often schizos later in life...great something to look forward to hehe! Other than that there is nothing to exciting to talk about i will be uploading some videos soon of the afternoons of playtime in the Bousson household :)

I am in LOVE

So for all of my photo fanatic friends out there you might remember me talking about actions for PSE a while back. Well I am a religious user of the coffeeshop actions and when I first started using them I tried to use the pioneer woman actions as well but they were not for pse so I was out of luck. Any how i was blog surfing yesterday and found on the pioneer woman website exactly what I had been longing for the actions for pse wooo hooo! So needless to say after I got some sleep (since i worked last night) i hopped on the computer and downloaded these action sets and began to play. Unfortunately I did not have time to post any of the pics i tested these actions on but so far I love it! I cant wait to play even more tomm. I always feel like I use the same editing techniques and now I have just opened my whole world up! So look for lots of fun photos coming soon. Oh and the best part is rhese actions are just like the coffeeshop actions so you pull up your pic click on the action and poof perfection then you just tweek it to your specifications, and dont worry there is a tutorial that is very easy (especially if I can figure it out) on how to get the actions into pse and it is a lot easier than how the coffeeshop ones are explained so its almost stress free. I highly recommend these to anyone who is into pics and since I still dont know how to link in this stupid blog world here is the link just copy and paste

http://thepioneerwoman.com/photography/download-files-for-pioneer-woman-actions-elements-version/

Enjoy :)

Look What I found while editing....

Isnt he the cutest thing you have ever seen (yeah so I know I am partial) but geez couldnt you just eat him up!
p.s. I think this just might be the "canvas picture" if you go to canvaspeople.com your first canvas is free (or extremely discounted) now what sz to order hmmmmm.....

Lazy Week

so let me just say that this week me and Will have been VERY lazy and I think that is just what we needed! Every week we are so busy and last week seemed to just be insane so this week I boycotted everything (xcept a family photo shoot and a clothing sale lol) i dont think we have really left the house that much to go "do" anything other than hop into the grocery store and run down to mommys work to drop a cd of photos to a friend. What can I say sometimes you just need a break. I hate that I am missing everything though (shopping with a friend, MOBS, mothers night out, etc) but we will be catching up next week. If you read my previous post it kind of prompted my hiatus (sp?) Will is growing to fast and I feel that sometimes I am not enjoying it as much as I should sooooo we have been playing all week and all he has wanted to do is STAND, we are getting so close to walking (not sure I am ready) infact about an hour ago before he went down for his nap he took 2 STEPS for me :) He has been showing everyone else but not me so I finally got to see him in action. I am excited but sad at the same time once he walks he has to move up rooms at church and more sadly at MDO. His current teacher is AMAZING and I dont know what I am gonna do when we dont see her every monday! And thats not even mentioning how busy we will be at home lol! But anyways although we are being lazy I still have TONS of photos to edit so while little man sleeps I am gonna get to work!

Last Day of Moms group belated birthday bash

Ok so no post is complete without a few pictures so here is lil man these days

Why am I awake at this hour????

I have been sleeping SO well lately so I dont know what to attribute this bit of insomnia to but oh well I thought I would take the tim eto upload pics and blog since i have been slacking at the whole blogging thing here lately. I actually did write a post early Monday morning but chose not to post it as it was kinda harsh and didnt want to be such a Debbie Downer, I also realized blogging when your are living on less than 10hrs a sleep (for the WHOLE weekend) and your feelings are hurt AND you have had an AWFUL weekend at work THAT my friends is not the best time to blog lol. So I wil take the oppurtunity to now. This weekend was Mothers Day and I have to say for the second year in a row it has just been missing something for me. My Family doesnt get together on holidays like we use to for a number of reasons all of which are a little sad but its always been ok until I had Will and now it just makes me sad and I want so bad to change this but underlying circumstances make it alnost impossible. Last year I was still such a new mommy that i think my hormones were still a little out of whack and then this year seemed to be about "everything" else besides the true meaning of the day. Next year I think I wanna spice it up and maybe take a weekend trip between Mothers Day and Fathers Day (LORD knows the drama going on the actual days would cause lol) to really enjoy our journey through parenthood that we began a little over a year ago.
Ok so now that this weekend is over back to reality i am swamped with editing shoots, this is a good thing but if you know me I like to edit right after I take pics and since Wills birthday I have found myself behind so I got to CATCH up. I have been editing at night but that makes for one sleepy momma come morning time which is officially Wills favortie time of the day :) I really wish I wouldve written it down or copy and pasted it but of course I didnt and now for the life of me I cant remember where I read it but it really hit home at 4am this mornign when I woke up and have been up ever since.
Basically it was a quote or status post or little snippet from somewhere that explained as parents that we try to capture every first in our childs life, celebrate every milestone but what we often fail to recall is the last time our child does something and thats a tear jerker bc so quickly they arent our little babies anymore they blossom into toddlers, teens, adeults, etc. and this am really slapped me in the face with this one. Wills sleep patterns have never been bad. When he forst came home he wanted to eat...every hr. That was a little hard but he would sleep on my chest for hours on end. When we transitioned him from our room to his he did great, then we had the "Target" incident where he bumped his head and overprotected mommt started the sleeping in the bed with us, again he would sleep all night in our bed not so much when we tried the crib again. Nut slowly he has gotten better, for the longest time he would stay in his crib till 2 or so and then get in bed with us. over the last few months the 2 changed to 4 and 5 am and it just hit me lying here (prior to blogging) that my little man now prefers to sleep in his crib ALL night. Dont get me wrong this is a great thing and I am so thrilled but use to on the nights I couldnt sleep I atleast had a sleeping angel to watch, now i just have the snoring hubby LOL who sat straight up in bed a few moments ago completely rearranged the comforter laying over us spoke the one word toilet and drifted back to sleep...I dont know WHAT that was about but it did keep me entertained. Its bittersweet i guess, and to make it worse I use to atleast get naps during the day with my munchkin but now when i lay himdown with me he just tosses and turns until i go put him in his crib and then he is out like a light. I know this will help with keeping the house clean but that was just our unwritten quiet time....tear. he is just showing me everyday how he is now a toddler and no longer my baby. Another thing that may have made me crabby this weekend was that he took his first three steps and neither me nor his daddy were around to see it. He did end up showing daddy that he could take one step but he doesnt wanna show me yet ( I guess he knows that will be just another was to show his big boyness to me) He has however just today started standing at all times pretty much. He has breen cruising for some time and even going from sitting to standing for short bits but today all he wanted to do was stand up all by himself nothing to hold onto or help him up so I know that means walking is right around the corner...Lord help us when that day finally comes hes gonna be you know what on wheels hehe! There is no doubt that he is ALL boy! So i think this concludes my early morning rambling session now time to get all my stuff in order for the day i am driving to byahlia MS to meet up with my cousin in law to take some pics of her daughter (Wills cousin) and we are gonna find some fields with the wildflowers I cannot wait!

Siren Overkill

Ok so seriously did I miss something or am I just uber aware now that I have a child???? But WHEN did the sirens start going off when there was no confirmed tornado. Dont get me wrong I am all about early detection I HATE storms and the more aware I am of them the better but since 4 oclock this am i have totally felt like the sirens were going off for a tornado watch bc there was not one confirmed tornado anywhere near us?!?!?! the news people want you to take things seriously but it seems to me they are totally building up a "boy who cried wolf scenarion" after today i would doubt anybody gets into a closet/safe place when they hear the sirens I know i didnt this afternoon, at 4 am yes i was in the hall with pillows everywhere but i soon realized they were blowing smoke. Ok so im off my soapbox it just seems so silly. I am probably more disturbed to bc last night was the first night we ever left Will! He stayed with my mom since it was the hubbys bday. It was very spontaneous that I even decided for him to have a slumber party (reason for not checking the weather) I did not realize that i didnt have to work since i had taken off for his bday so i planned a big night of fun! But in true old people fashion (that we now are) we ate sushi had a few drinks rented a movie and went to bed lol exciting i know, but I guess its a good thing we didnt go "party the night away" bc we wouldve totally slept through it all! But anyways back to leaving Will you can only imaging my fear at 4 when I wake up (without child no less) You see we have satellite which goes out always so I have weather alerts text to my phone so at 4 i get a text and my phone is so loud that it woke me up I read tornado warning so I immediately turned on the news and wondered why the sirens werent going off and where the tornado was (only to find out there was NO tornado...EVER) . I was immediately sick to my stomach I wanted to drive to cordova and get my child, i called my mom and woke her up and we stayed on the phone a while she said he had been so good and had been asleep since 7! Apparently he takes after his dad bc Joey went back to sleep and was not up for driving to cordova. I knew Will was fine and that we were safer at the house but still I just wanted Will to be with us. since the sirens proceeded to go off I woke Joey up again and informed him that he had a wife to care for lol so he made me a huge pillow pallet in the hall and there we slept for the rest of the night with our three dogs. At 7 i woke up and headed to get my little man and we ended up staying at my moms all day. We got some sleep but not enough so now I am at work hoping the storms will behave while I am away from my family. And to everyone else stay safe :)
