Long time no post

Well since we got home from the beach i feel like we have been going non stop. The ride home from the beach i started to feel funky and wouldnt you know i ended up being sick the whole weekend with fever, chills, etc. I still went to work on sunday night and made it through although i felt like i was floating around the whole time-gotta love sinus funk. So last week we just did things around the house and ran errand. We went to story time at Davis Kid one day. and I sent Will to MDO an extra day this week (fri) since i had to work all three nights this weekend, I figured playing with his friends would be more fun than napping with me all day. So i worked fri and saturday and slept the rest of the weekend away. We missed church on sunday but i was just plum exhausted and i heard it was crazy bc Amy Grant was there and no offense to anyone but just the idea of people only coming to church bc she was there kinda irritated to me (since that is not the reason to go to church) . I guess we wont really know that was the case unil this weekend but I am gonna go out on a limb and say it wont be nearly as crowded (but in the same sense if it is just as packed i think that will be a wonderful thing) So just like the rest of the weekend i slept the day away :( Joey took Will to the Childrens Museum for the first time and he said he had a blast! He took pictures so i got to see. I will have to download from my little camera so i can post them. After that they headed out to Bartlett since Joey had a softball game. Well at 5pm i got the call i had longed for all weekend i got cancelled from work...YEAH! So i went out to Bartlett and watched Joeys game and then we went to his parents for a bit. When I called work at i 9 thought I might have to go in but it ended up not being the case so i got to stay home. So after Will was in bed i started reading a new book. Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin . It was so good that i started it sunday night and finsished it yeasterday afternoon. I am now reading Somethin Blue (the follow up ) but i dont think I will finsish it as fast bc today is cleaning day at the Bousson house and I have a photoshoot this evening and we are gonna try to go to the redbirds game tonight with Will, Thats about all the excitement that has been occuring in our household so i gotta run and do another load of laundry :) More pics to come soon!

First Big Boy Day of MDO

So I totally forgot ( way to go me) to post about Wills first day in his big boy class at MDO! I am sure I have blogged about this before but I just love Wills MDO program and his teacher was just the most amazing lady. She loved Will so much ( Im sure she loved everyone in her class Im just speaking as in she was genuine and that made me feel that he was safe there). So when the time came for him to move up to the next classroom I was really stressed. I am not good with change and after having the not so great transition at church childcare I wanted this go round to go better bc this is a more permanent situation. Well Will missed his first day bc we were at the beach so this monday was the first time he went. I had my bestie...his "Aunt" Sandra make his a super stylin all boy (car-not the movie) nap mat and I packed his diaper bag and then Daddy took him off to school. It was a typical mon morning for me got off work had a photoshoot ate some lunch and then I went to pick up my boy. Well i got there and went up to the door and saw him playing away. Icalled his name and he waved and then he proceeded to talk (in his language) to me and point to every wall in his classroom as if to tell me all about what is on each of them. And he even did a little tappy feet dance. it was adorable I wish I wouldve had my flip. After that I met one of his teachers and spoke to her for a while and my heart was immediately put at ease She is just as wonderful as Wills previous teacher and she had nothing but good things to say about his day. He even did well sleepign on his nap mat ( this was the biggest concern for me) she said he slept an hour ( that is longer than he was sleeping in the other class). So I was pleased and Will was happy what more can you ask for? I snapped a pic on my phone but dont have all the cords to upload it on here so guess this will be a pic free post just wante to make sure i wrote about the experience before it left my mind :)

Storytime and then some

I must say today was bunches of fun! It was cool this morning so I wanted to get out and about the heat has kept us in lately. So Since I didnt have a jogging stroller to get out and the last time i went to a park near the house there was a freaky guy (and everyone was at work today) I decided we would at least get out and about so I thought I remembered the Davis Kidd had storytime so I looked it up and sure enough we were in luck. I read to Will at a young age and bless his heart is true boy and would rather play with trucks and trains than sit and read a book well lately he has become more interested in all his books so I am trying to enhance that every way I can. I would like to say he did well at storytime but truth be told i think that poor old lady who reads (and gets a little fiesty) was having her nerves worked by yours trully's little one haha. They put the trains up so Will found the little truck stand behind the lady and insisted he get trucks out of there that he then played on the train set with haha. I thought it was funny anyhow and he was being wuiet so he wasnt disrupting anyone else. Except for the part where I tried to take the little trucks from him and he went crazy ( dead weight and screaming and if you remember we are paci free so I had no ammo against this battle) So we quickly left leaving a trail of stares all the way out the door I am sure we were quite the site :) Afterward we hopped into the mall so I could return a bathing suit top i didnt use while in Florida...yeah for money back in my account! It was still pretty cool at this point (yes 85 is cool to me) so I though about a quick trip to the zoo but after a quick check in the rearview i realized Will had other plans as in a nap. So we headed home to nap. Whiel he napped I caught up on photo sessions. I am completely done with the exception of the newborn shoot i did yesterday woo hoo. Once Will woke up from his nap we played with out neighbors out front for about an hour and then we came inside and got ready for dinner.
Speaking of dinner Will is hilarious these days. He is signing "more" all over the place he wants MORE of everything. We just laugh and try to figure out what he wants. The other day we were in his room and he poked me and signed more and walked in the kitchen and pointed to his cabinet. Hes such a big boy! Where has the time gone????

Back To Reality

Well now that our yearly vacation has come to an end it back to the old hustle and bustle. I worked last night and never really made it to bed today so pardon me if there are more typos than normal hehe and now I am editing away trying to catch up on photoshoot stuff so i can edit some more beach pics :) I just wanted to state that Moms night out tonight was so much fun and MUCH needed! I had a blast and found out even more things I have in common with all my mommy friends! I am so lucky to have found such a wonderful bunch of women to get together with and share such fun stories and life experiences ( not to mention all of our mom of the year stories lol) Much more on vacation and moms group to come in the future but this post is just to state what has taken place in our house in the past 3 days since we have been home.... We are paci FREE in this household. I was suprisingly easier than I imagined ( although today when i wanted to nap and Will was not having it i sure did think about it but i didnt give in)other than that there hasnt really even been an fussiness over it which makes me happy dont wanna see my boy sad. Thats the only big news around here, hopefully i will get caught up soon and post the goods!

The Beach

So after the oil and the "we are going, no we arent, we are going, no we arent" we are indeed GOING to the BEACH....YEAH! This is an annual trip that we take with my in-laws. We stay in my husbands Uncles condo for a week and it is always Fabulous! The past 2 years by far have been the best. A month after returning from the beach in 08 we found out we were expecting :) and last year was Wills first trip to the beach. And then of course this year will be so much more fun for him bc he is such a water baby I am hoping he will be a beach bum and play the day away in the sand and ocean. I hope to carry on this yearly tradition so that he can enjoy the beach as much as we do! I have managed to pack all of his stuff in one bag (...surely he doesnt need a whole weekender Vera Bradley to himself and it certainly wouldnt be BUSTING at the seems, I mean his mommy TOTALLY knows that it completely unecessary!) When all of my stuff fits into half of a medium suitcase ( the other half is for daddy). I am so very excited about beach pictures now that i have upgraded all my gear from our last visit and got a flash i am super pumped about nightly photo sessions ( so yes there will be tons of pictures) WE usually do the all white beach pictures and I am sure we will do this one night but I am really wanting to do black and white clothes this year-black is way more forgiving anyways and I have seen some pictures lately of this and i personally think it looks alot better than the standard over used all white! I also cannot wait for the shopping!!! I love the outlet mall down there and last year i bought most of Wills wardrobe there for some great prices and I hope to do the same this year! Well i guess thats about it for now I am getting the house all clean and finsishing up the packing bc i have a photoshoot tonight in arkansas and then I work tomm night so im starting the feel the panic of not getting everything ready so unless I decide to post some pics while we are down there i guess this is tata for a week or so :)

Mondays CAN be FUN-days

The New Way to Grocery Shop
He Likes to Ride Trucks
And Loves Shrek
Check Out this Stud!
So every monday facebook is filled with status posts about how awful Mondays are and that the weekend is over. WELL since i work weekends Mondays are my Fridays and they have been really great lately. i have started a new tradition of going to eat sushi by myself every monday. Just some quiet "me" time since Will is at mothers day out. Will only started MDO bc i work sundays and we felt MDO was safer than being cared for by a mommy who has been up all night lol. But now that I have been on nights a while i am getting used to not sleeping as much i have been getting out more and getting things done on mondays. Today i got sushi as usual and I always have the same server ( even when me and Joey go at night) and after I got done eating she said that the food was on her . I thought it was the sweetest gesture and it totally continued my good day :) Then I went to Dillards and got some bathing suits for the beach next week. After that I just ran some other errands and then headed home. Then I picked up little man from MDO and we had a great afternoon together. Now its time to edit pictures and get the house and us ready to head to the beach saturday. Woo Hoo!

Stopping to Smell the Roses

Everyone knows the scenario..there arent enough hours in the day to get everything done, If only you had a few extra limbs to assist with household chores etc. I always seem to find myself in a sprint to get things done. Being practically a stay at home mom ( i work 2 nights a week while little man sleeps)you would think I had all the time in the world. I have now added photography into my daily routine which I LOVE but it can definitely keep me busy lol. Anyways enough rambling my point is that although I am with my son 24/7 I often feel distracted with the rest of lifes demands. When I feel this way it makes me sad I dont want my son to see me as the top of a head behind a computer screen (editing pics) or staring down at a phone or always trying to keep a clean house instead of playing. So lately I have been trying to really pay attention to what my son sees me do. Will isnt the little baby he once was, there isnt any down time so I have begun to take advantage of it and I couldnt be more happy with the outcome. I hope this doesnt sound awful to anyone you read some blogs and its always peachy keen jelly bean but this is how i am going to remember things and I want it to be the truth and not the sugar coated kind! We have had so much fun lately. I have begun to blog and edit and facebook ONLY when he is napping or in bed for the night. I now know the dishes can wait ( believe me that wasnt the hardest thing to do i was already pretty good at this) We have been singing lots of songs and working on animal sounds and body parts. He likes to say ah ah ah (monkey) and unfortunately the only body part he "knows" is well his boy part and mommy didnt teach hime that ( dont worry daddy didnt either and NO we dont say where is your boy part and he points it out he just holds on to it whenever he is naked as if it might fall off lol. Life is changing so much and it is so amazing to see their little minds work ( i know i probably say that all the time). Dont know why i went off on this ramble i guess you just wonder if anyone can relate? Either way the new schedule has been a lot more fun than the old one. I will leave ou with my favorite recent pic of Will. He is growing so fast! Oh and I almost forgot when we left church wed am as i was closing the door closest to him he was pointing and yelling dadadada, of course dada was no where around so as I got in the car i looked in the direction he was still pointing and wouldnt you know there was a silver truck (liek what his daddy drives) lookd like they are a lot smarter than we give them credit for :)

New Header

Yeah I know I am always changing it up but thats just me. I changed it up this time bc this is the little project i was working on. This is just a rough draft bc Love is spelt with only my hands. I hope to get a letter with Joeys hand and then a letter with Wills hand (not sure how that will work so his face may just end up being the O, and then I am trying to think of a crafty way to include the dogs maybe have em all lay down for the E and use a stick to connect it together heck i dunno. Any whoo this is what I want to put about my bed when we redecorate our master bedroom. I really loved the art you can get these days where your name is spelled out in letters that are pictures of everyday stuff ( i will try to find a picture to explain) but EVERYONE has them not to mention the are UBER expensive so i thought this was and individual spin off that i am very pleased with. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to make it better :) My craftiness only goes so far

Picture Time

A Few of todays Faves

Wills new BIG BOY shoes (sz 6 from a sz 3)
Fabrics for the attempted nap mat i am going to try and make for MDO

I noticed last night at work that it has been a LONG time (with exception of horses) that I have just taken pics of Will just to take pics so driving home today my only agenda was to capture the day in photos (which wouldnt be easy bc i was exhausted from working all night and Will had MDO) soooo as soon as I walked in the door I scooped up my camera and took some pics before he left and then I took some when we got home. he is napping now so I though I would post a few :) I witll probably edit this post and upload more later but my silly comp takes forever and I am trying to upload some more storyboard actions to pse so I can change it up a bit. I mentioned a photo project a while back and well i kinda started on it this morning so i am hoping one of these storyboards serves its purpose.....more to come

Its Really August...already?!?!

Time just seems like it is flying by so quickly! I cant believe it is already August it seems like it was just Wills first birthday and now here we are rounding the corner to 18 mths. One plus to it being August 1st is that I sucessfully ordered my ZOO BREW tickets today for Sept 3rd woo hoo. Me and Joey had such a great time earlier this summer at the first one that we are going again and this time our friends Rachel and Clint S. are joining us :) Can you tell I am excited :) I am not a lush I just truly enjoy the taste of beer from time to time for those of you who enjoy wine tastings this is MY version!)

Enough of that though onto more interesting things like that fact that Wills nickname should be spiderman because he is climbing all ovr everything. I am truly impressed that we have not ended up at the hospital yet!! Just today he climbed into his high chair which ours is pretty high so it looks like i will be keeping it on its lower leverl from now on. The funny thing was that we can actually remove the chair from the high part and it can sit on the ground (its a convertible highchair) So i thought it would be cute to put it on the ground and see what he did and well wouldnt you know it wasnt hardly as exciting for him anymore lol. My little man the daredevil. He is also teething and well it is making for some LONG nights :( He wakes up screaming and it just breaks my heart I have actually given in and given him a bottle the past few nights (we stopped bottles a few weeks ago) but it seems to be the only thing that calms him down. We are also using the teething tablets and I am not sure what my stand is on them sometimes i think they work and then other times im not so sure. Not to mention they are just belladonna tablets ( a medication that use to be and rx and is now over the counter and was used as a sedative back in the day lol) I am sure the tabs are very small doeses but the only information I can find on belladonna links it to opiates and phenobarb haha kinda crazy. makes me wonder if im sedating my child????

Speaking of treatments we are currently treating Will for a spider bite :( So a couple of weeks ago we found what we thought was a brown recluse. Well it was actually just a cellar spider but either way Will was bitten by some icky critter right on his left elbow. It is swollen red and has a dark center so being the paranoid nurse mom that I am I immediately went to the urgent care office yesterday seeing that our dr office was closed. I only did this bc i thought if it were a brown recluse bite (brown center) that I would much rather start antibiotic therapy prior to a dr visit on manday whenever we could be fit in and i thought the copay was the same as the peds office....Well NOPE the copay was actually 40.00! (upon hearing this i kinda felt that maybe we shouldve waited but anyone who knows me knows that was out of the question haha after all its just money right lol) So we were actually the only people there (nice to know that I wasnt exposing him to twice as many germs just to get his arm looked at! He totally put on the charm to he was flirting up a storm walking all over like he owned the place! We ended up seeing Dr. Wllis he was very nice and indeed confirmed my fear it was a spider bite BUT he didnt think it was a brown recluse :) He said to watch him and do motrin. benadryl and neosprin/peoxide to the site) and monitor for increased swelling-oozing etc (and follow up with dr if the s/s appeared). Well today it was more red in color but no increase in the brown aread or size so i guess we are ok for now?! I dont know what I am gonna do with this little guy I wish i had taken a picture of him he has 3 mosquito bites on his face his left eye is black and blue from a run in with the laptop (laptop-1 Will-0) a slight rash all over his body (whats new my baby is the rashy-est kid in the world) and then his spider bite on his arm...good thing his pictures were a couple weeks ago :)

speaking of pictures in 2 weeks I will be heading to the BEACH and I intend on taking TONS of pictures while I am there :) I hope Will enjoys the ocean this year last year he did so good ( we had the greatest set up bouncy seat in sun shade tent under the umbrella with the fan blowing in his direction) this year i hope he enjoys playing in the sand and water. Maybe he will even come back with a head full of white hair seeing how me and his daddy were little toe heads ( i believe thats what they call white hair beach babies). Guess we will have to wait and see!

And lastly I am needing some advice from my mommy friends out there. We have been going to HOPE for a while now and we have LOVED it. After Will was born I became part of the moms group there and we even started putting him in the nursery during sunday service. In the crawler room he LOVED it and you could tell the volunteers really loved taking care of the children and they would always give you a little report on how he did and we would always get the same thing "Please bring him back to our room next sunday he did great and we had so much fun playing with him" This made me feel so good bc as a mom im sure most can relate in the fact that you dont like leaving your child with strangers even if it is church! Well since he has started walking he now goes to the one year old /walking room and well I must say that I am very dissappointed with it. Everytime we have gone to drop him off it has felt more like a burden than a positive experience ( i have even started grabbing a pager bc it makes me that nervous). I guess i should say me and Joey go to the 1000 Hope service (lol they only have a 930 service we are just normally 20 minutes late bc it takes forever to get out the door and on our way) So i understand that by the time we drop him off most of the classes are full but instead of addressing the number of children in each class as a safety concern for the child (which i understand so many kids per adult) they make it seem like you cant come here we are full (and if they are truly full there is a sign on the clipboard that says this class is full please go to classroom such and such)I mean today the first room we went to was full so we went to the room it said to go to well then that woman said we have 14 kids go to the next room then that woman asked if we checked the other room and when I said yes she said they have 14 she said well we have that many too. WELLLLLL...so I looked at my husband and said maybe we should go to the cry room with him and they lady looked like that is what she wanted me to do but my husband handed her will and we headed towards church ( i also stopped to get a pager and there werent any so i was even that much more nervous seeing that last week the lady told Joey that Will got the climber of the day award since everytime they turned around he was on top of the tables ugh!) So I guess the help I need is some advice I dont want to find another church for this reason but its really weighing heavy on my heart and i dont know what to do? I mean i volunteered there one wed night and had an awful experience so i politely declined to continue volunteering bc i knew it wasnt for me. I wish others would do the same.

Ok so I think that is all that has been going on in my world this week. I hope everyone has a wonderful week :)

Whoa...Big Dog

What Beautiful Creatures
Will kept saying dawg dawg Whoa!!!!

He wanted to pet them but mommy said not without back up there

Love this shot. they were so friendly

My cutie -pa- tootie
I had my shoot this morning at Shelby Farms and I had to get there a little early to scope out some spots to shoot so while we were waiting I decided I would take Will out by the horses since that is where we were gonna start. There was a cowboy looking guy out in the field with him and he was rounding them up so horses started coming from everywhere. Will was mesmerized(sp?) he kept saying Whoa Wow dawg dawg. I tried to teach him horse but who am i kidding hes one so i ended up saying yes son its a BIG dawg lol. I may have to do this more often bc he really enjoyed it. Maybe when the days get a little cooler. We may even take Mr. Ed and his family some carrots and apples lol!

Hop on over to Bousson Photography and check out my new work

One Year Pics (ok so 14.5 mth pics)

So this is my teaser from our photo session with Claire (Oh Susanna! Photography). WE had so much fun despite the heat. Will was such a model it was too funny he would just strike a pose and stay there for a few seconds then go into another pose (he wasnt raised in front of a camera or anything) I cant wait to see the rest.

A Great Way to Start the Day

So I have noticed a trend in my posts lately and you know what I am a total poopy pants :( I wouldnt wanna read my blog either lol. And while i was catching up on all things bloggy i ran across this post over at littlemissmommas and made me realize like she says in this post that the little girl really does have it all figured out.
Check it out:
http://littlemissmomma.blogspot.com/2010/07/how-to-stay-positive.html
and other than that date night at the redbirds was a blast. I had so much fun. The only sad part is the red hots dont dance anymore. I know I am a total cheese ball but i use to dance for the redbirds for 5 years (2000-2005) and for a while we use to have SO much fun and it was just kinda sad seeing it all disappear. Oh well it was fun none the less and we had great seats I even took my big camera :)

A little Better

Ok so I am feeling a little better. After venting (via blog) this afternoon i had put Will down for a nap and decided to take one myself. When we woke up my neighbor had texted me that her and her daughter were outside playing. So after giving Will dinner (still refused the veggies but ate some mac and cheese and 3 grilled chicken strips) we headed out. The kids had bunches of fun while the mommies chatted. Will even got to experience his first popsicle. He doesnt normally like cold things but i stripped him down ( i know classy right) and let him have at the all fruit pop and he was in heaven. Granted most of the popsicle ended up on the ground and all over his body opposed to his mouth but it really was the cutest thing ever. So I guess dinner was productive. I am going to try more frequent smaller meals tomm we had been doing three meals and snacks but maybe a little more substance more times a day will get him interested. I still have to get the cookbook tom and maybe a food processor to puree veggies? i dunno we will see how things go. I realized earlier i was focusing on things i was insecure about. I mean i know Will eats but i have been worried he doesnt eat enough and then the dr makes that comment and well i guess i started feeling like a bad mom so on top of worrying about mny child i added the worrying if I am good at this to the plate. Well I decided after having such a good end to a not so great day that I just need to put my big girl panties on and deal with it. I am not always going to do everything right and sometimes I may be totally in the wrong I just have to do what is best for my son and not sweat the small stuff (hmm maybe i should read that book) All i can do is try my best and ask for help and focus on what is going right. So here is a little of what Will is up to these days at the ripe age of 15 months:
he has a decent vocabulary with some unexpected words thrown in- he says Momma, Daddy, dog, jude and jake (good attempts atleast), hi, bye, WOW (one of his faves), WHOA (really where did this come from), NO (another fave), I am probably forgetting some. He doesnt talk a lot but it is so funny when these words come out of his mouth. He is often too bust exploring to stop and chit chat.
Like I said above- he is ALWAYS exploring. He took his first steps between 13-14months and he has only perfected his mvmt since then. he is all over the plae and into everything. At times it can be crazy but other times it can be really fun. Like the past week whenever i gate the dogs in the kitchen he knows we are leaving and he heads for the door and he walks himself out to the car (i am right beside him of course) but he loves the independence you can just see it in his eyes.
He climbs on everything we have already had several boo boos which I know will only get worse.
He is using the paci less frequently. It took about a week to teach hime that the paci was used only for bed and the car he now hands it to us when we say give me that paci. He has even recently began to literally give it to me by putting it in my mouth haha too cute
he has also become a little attached to a lovey (his little yellow duck lovey) he isnt toally crazy about it but he wil rub it when he goes to sleep. He has even pulled his silk/fussy blue blanket out from his crib and into whatever room I am in a few times.
He still doesnt sit still much for us to read him a book and normally as I begin a book he runs off with it but its still fun to attempt.
He likes music and he loves to dance. Sometime i will turn to check on him in the carseat and he is just head bobbing right on key. and when he cathces me watching him he just giggles.
On the way home from the lake he expereinced his full bulldog shake. We were told that we couldnt pass bald knob without stopping at the bulldog resturant and getting a shake. we let him have a sip and he went nuts so when I was done with mine I handed him my cup and it entertained him for a good thirty minutes.
I am sure I forgetting so many things but of all the things I could remember I wanted to jot them down. These are the things that make me happy and make me realize its ok to have moments, its all a learning experience.

Today kinda stinks!

Ok so to start the day off I walked into Wills room this am to find a suspected brown recluse hanging out with him :( boo! My brother in law works for terminex (he's not the spray guys but still knows the stuff) so he came by grabbed the plastic bag with the spider in it (for further inspection) and set out traps. And ps I didn't know there were traps for spiders but there are and then this afternoon when I got home there was a 7 legged spider crawling in a circle....hmmmmmmm wonder if the trap got his eighth leg???? I swear I have rarely seen any critters in our house and now 2 in one day! Not to mention my toe is hurting/burning and there appears to be two dots where it hurts so did I really get freaking bit by a spider too???? Ugh! This has kinda left me in a mood. And on top of this was today's was Wills 15 mth check up at the dr.
His stats :
Wt-22.4 lbs
Ht-30.5 in
Hc- 48 cm

We got a clean bill of health but Dr. Hanson said he was tending to trend down in size. Dr Hanson also said this was normal for this age and not to worry but yall know me and well I am already worrying!!!! If he wasn't such a picky eater I'd be fine but he is so crazy with his eating habits that it is starting to stress me out I don't want my poor baby starving!!!! The dr told me about a cookbook that hides veggies in everyday food so I'm gonna run out and get that (actually went to target to get it and had no luck) so hopefully we can nip this in the bud. I know he's fine I guess I'm just thinking longterm here. I guess that's all the reasons for the yucky mood, I hope to be in better spirits soon!

Cant believe I forgot this pic!!!!

Feeling Refreshed!

What else can I say but what a wonderful weekend. I was so sad to come home today, we even thought about staying an extra day but we decided it was best to go ahead and come home (more of the reason later in post). I have not been to the lake in soooo long (before me and Joey got married to be exact) so when our plans fell through to hit up a hotel in MS for the weekend (since we kinda spent that money on new iphones hehe) and our good friends the Bagwells asked if we wanted to head to Heber i quickly said yes and started packing! We headed out early saturday morning (couldve headed out friday night but i didnt get cancelled from work like I was suppose to but oh well no worries) We got to the cabin around lunch time and out on the water we went! I wasnt too worried about Will since he is such a water baby anyways and well wouldnt you know he LOVED the lake. I was a little skeptical of how the whole life jacket situation would go but he never once tried to pull it off or freak out. Napping in it was another story but lets just say he did pretty good with minimal naps. The naps of course only occured when we were cruising across the lake...as soon as we would stop up he would be. We got him in the water a few times. he would scoot off the back of the boat into our arms. I think I was more scared of the lake water than he was (i have this fear about not seeing what is below me...eek!) Saturday we just kind of took it easy seeing that i had been up for 24hr+. I had been up since 10am fri am went to work and then planned on sleeping the whole way to the lake but Will did not sleep like we had planned so my three hr nap turned into about 2 thirty minute naps. I think I did pretty well saturday but by about 8pm i was DONE!!!! Then Sunday we had some real fun. I tried to wake board and lets just say it wasnt to pretty. I am definitely no longer the athletic lady i was in hs/college lol. I would estimate a total intake of about 2-3 gallons of water in each nostril per wipeout (and there were many!) Saturday night we cooked out and then me and Jess headed to the cabing with the kids. Both nights i was out by ten. Today was also a lot of fun too we got out on the lake around ten and met up with all of our other friends who were already out on their boats and all tied up in the water and hung out. I also tried to water ski today. I have only done it one other time and back then (cheerleading days) I got up on the first try. Today...not so much. It took about 5 times but i finally got up for a good 3 seconds lol. Lets just say i realized just how out of shape I am. Muscles i forgot I evenhad are already starting to ache. It really was soooo much fun though. It totally made me want a boat! But before we get a boat we will definitely need a NEW HOUSE seeing that ours almost BURNT DOWN while we were gone. And that is the reason we didnt stay and extra day. SOOOOO my sis house sat for me while we were gone and saturday when she got here she turned the tv on in our room and heard a loud pop. Nothing else happend so she went about her business. Well Sunday when she got to our house she smelled smoke when she went bakc to our bedroom. She called Joey (I guess then is when I was attempting to wakeboard) and he said call the fire dept if you smell smoke. So my sis did and Memphis Fire came and checked everything out. Well from my sisters side of the story they basically thought she was crazy turned off our power and said call mlgw. So my poor sis was stuck with this huge mess. Well apparently MLGW was busy bc they came right away. My sis explained the pop of the tv etc and the mlgw guy decided to investigate. Well he pulled our dresser away from the wall where our tv is and wouldnt you know the surge protector we have there was basically on fire. No flames but smoking like crazy bc it was burning!!! GEEZ can you say CLOSE ONE. I cannot even imagine if something wouldve happened my poor pups were here and well we have built our family in this home. I may hate it at times but it is a roof over our head and i definitely dont want anything to happen to it! So that is what brought us home early but I am kinda glad to be home in my comfy bed with my comfy pillows etc. We just have no tv in our room tonight which kinda stinks. I think that pretty much sums up the weekend so i will leave you now with the fun pics!
