And Lastly....My Birthday Purchases
a Vera Bradley Diaper Bag-which is AMAZING!
and a Planner (to keep up with all my photo shoots!)
Ok so where to start updating???? This month has been SO BUSY! I have been so blessed to have tons of photo sessions with friends and family. I am planning to start a photography blog. I wouldnt say I am going into the "photography business" just yet but I need somewhere to showcase my work, my goal is to save up and get the Big Momma Canon so i can take even better pictures but its like 1200.00 soooo that might take a little while lol! But back to this blog, due to the massive amount of editing i have been doing i have not blogged in a while and well so much can happen in such a little amount of time. I have switched to the night shift at work and I LOVE it! I am so glad that God answered my prayers and at the time although i wasnt sure night shift was the answer i now see that it was! I get to not only be a stay at home mom but the "wife" role has come back into the picture because I actually SEE my husband now. This is also big news too because our New Years Resolution is to start fixing up this old house either to sell or stayin for a while....First priority is updating the view from the street (door, shutters, xnay the rod iron) and then its onto the....wait for it....Laundry Room. If it ever happens I will not know what to do with myself! I can trully say that although I am so greatful to say I own a home I will not rush into the next home purchase because this house has no "amenities" and lets face it there are just some things a girl needs like a laundry room , walk in closet, master bath and well the list could go on all day. Onto more exciting things though like Will of course! He is growing by leaps and bounds. He is always on the go these days he even pulls up on things and takes steps while holding on. He has let go a few times but falls on his bottom, I am afraid that pretty soon it will be another story. He is getting more talkative with his baby babble, and Just today he has really started say da da a lot. and he even says and wave hi sometimes. I cannot wait to celebrate his first Christmas. The pictures above are all of his ornaments that i had so much fun putting out this year. We have all of our shopping done i have just not been in the mood nor really had the time to wrap anything. There is one present under the tree and he enjoys playing with it. I cant wait to see how he acts Christmas morning! I will be sure to post a photo post soon after the occassion to fill everyone in! In other news last friday was my birthday and Joey did such a good job planning the event. He got some of our closest friends together The Hannahs and The Scholes and we went to Rendevous to see Robert Jr., he also got me Muddys Cupcakes and lets not forget that he went to Jareds (que cheesy commercial) He got me the cutest pandora charm it is a baby bootie with a blue stone on it. I will have to add a bracelet pic soon it is almost busting at the seams. Well for anybody still with me at the end of this SUPER LONG post I hope you have a Wonderful Christmas Week with Friends and Family!

This Year is flying by....

I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by I mean Ijust had a child in April and now it is December geez. Well just like the time Wills childhood is flying by. Its crazy how one day can change so much he goes to bed with 2 teeth and wakes up with four hes inch worming everywhere and now he is full on crawling, he is just sitting up on his own and then hes puling up and trying to stand on his own . I love watching him reach all these milestones but it is also bittersweet b/c pretty soon he will be walking and then who needs mom. Luckily he is still a snuggler but that is slowly starting to go he likes to push away now when you are holding him. We have been so busy this month. We had a christmas card photo shoot that went well but I just havent had time to edit any of the pics yet (the above pics are the unedited versions and not necessarily the best ones bc i dont want to ruin the Christmas card surprise. His 7 month photo is also up there i thought it was to cute not to post this is totally him these days. And then right before this cold spell when it was still Fall we had a photo shoot in the neighbors yard bc she had the most beautiful yellow leaves under her tree. I was right on time with the shoot too i had kept putting it off and then 2 days after I took them they came and raked their yard talk about timing! I hope to post pics of Christmas decorations soon Our tree is lit but the ornament part is lacking so we gotta regroup and get on it. We bought decorations for the outside but Joey has not hung them yet I think the only thing completed is the faux mantle. that is my goal this weekend along with a million other things of course lol. Well just a quick post to update everyine. I must be on my way the shower call while little man is finally napping...IN HIS CRIB i might add. The new crib is great and he is taking to it pretty well.

Showing hime the tree

Gobble Gobble

Cousins
The Holiday Season is among us and it has by far been the best ever this year, mostly in part of Will I mean everything means so much more with him around! I have loved getting him ready for Turkey Day and now Christmas! thanksgiving was fun he even tried a little grown up food and did pretty good but he didnt get to much gotta wait till Jan to get the clear on that! We had funs times with the family and lots of pumpkin flavored items which are my favorite! Now lets bring on Christmas! We went for our first (of many im sure) trips to see Santa this year. We went to Bass Pro and I cant tell you how stress free it was there was NO line and the pic was FREE yes FREE and it was was cuter than the mall Santa! I even got to take pics with my camera so i could fix em up in photoshop (see above) I am so excited we got our tree earlier this week and the lights are up. Tonight is ornament night which is gonna be soo much fun! I hope Will enjoys the tree. As far as christmas i have completed his Christmas and I think we did pretty good we got the Fisher Price Farm House for him to practice his pulling up on, we also got a dvd player for the car-this was my black friday deal i did not wake up early but they had a dual dvd kit for the same price i was gonna spend on a single dvd player and when i got there they still had tons so I got two for what i was gonna for one and saved over 40 bucks YEAH! other than those two big items we just got a few little things like he will even know but i feel good about it! Well gotta go little man is calling my name-its lunch time :)

What A Day!

Wills Baptism

Will was waving back to Father Bruce

Making the sign of the cross on Wills head

Ok so WOW I just so happen to turn on the evening news in between catching up on my tivo and what do I see? A story about the biggest crib recall in i dont know how long? And what brand is it???Storkcraft?! Did I hear correctly, am I really seeing that they are recalling my childs crib on national television for its risk of suffocating children? Oh but I should feel so safe because they are sending a free "repair" kit?! I think NOT I dont care how I am suppose to fix it but I dont think I will ever be able to place my child in this crib again! I guess the silver lining is that I havent exactly been putting him in his crib I mean my intentions are good but well he is a snuggler and my heart just melts when he cries in his crib sooo luckily he has been in our bed and not his crib for most of our life so he has been out of harms way. You can see the whole recall info here at their website storkcraft.com. Luckily we contacted the store that we purchased the crib from and although we dont have the box we do have our online confirmation number so we can return the crib for a new make/model which we have already picked out so I will let you know how it turns out. Now onto the highlight of the weekend This weekend was Will's baptism and so many of our friends and family joined us on this special day. Will was so good until the very end when i think he had enough of the paparazzi (aka mom) now I know why (keep reading). After the baptism we had a big family lunch and then Joey and I went to Babys r us to do a little Christmas shopping for Will. We found lots of goodys including his big gift the fisher price barnyard (its kinda like the girls kitchen/house) but its a barn for a boy. so I am slowly checking off my list and checking twice lol! I cant wait for the holidays this year. It is going to be such a special time this year with our newest edition getting to experience all the reasons for the season! But I am afraid I must go motherly duties call oh but before i say goodnight if anyone knows where I can get a cute stocking PLEASE let me know I so need a stocking for Will!! Oh Wait I almost forgot to explain why Will was a little fussy on Sunday, he was also a little fussy today so after bath time I happen to get a peek into his mouth and there are 2 more teeth that have broken the skin so he now has his two front bottom teeth and now he is working on his two front teeth on top needless to say it is making him a little grumpy! But i must say he is being a trooper,oh and he has officially realized that he can crawl wherever he wants for the longest he only crawled when he got really excited about something and had to get it but not he just wants to explore!

Whats going on around our house

I got my baby legs on so I keep my knees safe but I do that anyways by trying to stand up!

Jude gets a little jealous so this is his close up (while i was trying to snap a pic of Will)

We Love some bathtime

I also love my books!

Geez cant I just have a sip (nope)

So we have been having lots of fun around the Bousson household. Will gets into everything but he is still slow enough to catch i dont know what we will do when he decides to just get up and go. Currently you can hear a squeal of delight and then hes off but I am afraid sooner or later he will not give us such a warning! He loves his Mum Mums they are little rice husks that dissolve easily so it is mommy stress free and keeps him occupied for a while. I think I have already blogged about his sippy cup...he loves it so we are saying bye bye to bottle before he really has a chance to grow attached to them. I of course watch him eat to make sure he doesnt choke but it is nice to have about 15 min where he is in a zone of feeding to actually think about breakfast for me b/c I cannot tell you how long it has been since i have gotten to eat breakfast. We are sinking into a routine and it feels good we have about 2 naps a day and a consistent eating pattern. Life is good :) But Monday morning we hit a little bump in the road. I woke up with a cold and Will woke up with a rash all over his cheeks! At first i thought teething but then it spread all over his face and we didnt know what it could be?! I called the dr and they gave me the dose for benadryl. So after meds and a not so good nights sleep (he was up every other hour) we were rash free! That was until we got out of bed and the once face rash turned into a whole body rash including swelling. Wills poor hands looked like the stay puff marshmellow man! Of course me being the freak out mom called the dr asap, I mean I didnt want his airway to swell and impair his breathing after all his chubby cheeks were now chipmunk cheeks stored full of acorns for winter! They told me to increase the bendaryl dose and bring him in so that is what we did. It made me feel better that the dr agreed with me that he was extremely swollen (and this was a couple hrs AFTER the benadryl) he said that he had a viral induced uticaria meaning basically an allergic reaction to a virus. So now we just have to let it run its course and if its not gone in a week we go back. But good news is so far this morning we are rash free and just a litlle puffy and a little more chipper than the past two days! But I believe Will is trying to tell me it is lunch time so tata for now. Wills baptism is this Sunday so i will be posting pics soon :)

Having some fall fun outside I loved all the leaves

Uh Oh Mom Help!

Look what I can do-You guys are in trouble now

Zoo trip

What a Wonderful Season
As always the weeks seem to be flying by! Lately we have been kind of lazy just staying around the house and not running so many errands (that keeps me from spending money) Today we played outside and went for a walk. we even used our neighbors tree swing to play in. It was so gorgeous outside I dont think that I have ever really trully stopped to watch the leaves fall it was so gorgeous! Will seemed to enjoy it, I think his favorite part was the swing (see video at bottom of blog entry). We may have to get one of these for our own tree!
Will has begun to grow in so many ways, obviously in size I bet he is over 20 lbs now, he is also crawling everywhere now at first it was a inchworm crawl but now its a full on get up and go. Just the other night he was sitting up and i asked Joey if he had sat him up and when he said no we quickly realized that he had sat himself up...uh oh! In just the past day he has decided he wants to try to pull up luckily he hasnt completely figured it out on his own ( I wont lie me and Joey put him up in the above picture but he was just too cute acting so grown up) I find it so fascinating how quickly they can pick up on things. Will has also found out he has a voice so he makes lots of funny noises he has said dada like twice but he definitely doesnt know what he is saying yet. I think that is about it for now but I am sure he will do a whole new set of things by the next time i blog! Thats just about all i have to write about for now Joey and I are still waiting to hear on a few "oppurtunities" we are both wanting but for now its just a waiting game, our philosophy is whats meant to be will be so until then we will just pray that everything works out the way it is suppose to . Well it is almost midnoght and we have FTM in the morning so Good Night!

What a difference a night makes

Well I cant say that all my blah feelings have gone away but I will say that once I decided to give it all to God I suprisingly woke up with possible answers to my questions this morning..crazy huh? Not really I dont think I ever really doubted I just didnt hand my worries over sooner. Its crazy what happens when you open your heart. Now I dont know that things will work out the way that I would like but just realizing the possibilities out their has boosted my spirits. I think it helped also that Will slept in his crib from about 10 to 4. He did so good, he probably would have stayed in there at 4 but he seemed wide awake and well I was simply exhausted and gave in by putting him in the bed with us. But hey we have made progress! Today is another beautiful fall day so I think that we will be enjoying by going to the Zoo with my sis in law Jenn and Wills cousins Maggie and Evie. Pics to come for sure!

Is it really November already????

I cannot believe we are reaching the end to another year, where has the time gone? This year has brought so many changes to my life and it has seemed like a whirlwind. You try to take in every second but everytime you turn around another month has flown by. This year I became the mother of a wonderful baby boy who is now 6 1/2 months old, I shared a 2nd wedding anniversary with my amazing husband and I have joined 2 new moms group ( the first group adopted me and the second group I joined seeing that Will would probably appreciate playing with kids he can keep up with the first moms group had big kids because they had been together since their kids were Wills age. I love them both and I am so glad that I am getting to worship with such amazing women and moms!
On the same note however I feel that I have found myself in a bit of a rut. Maybe its just something us women go through but geez its totally like the title of the book we r reading in moms group -My bathtub is overflowing but i feel drained- I am feeling well VERY drained. I am so thakful for all the God has given me I just feel myself at a loss of energy I am so busy trying to wear the many hats of life (mom, wife, housekeeper, nurse, etc.) that i feel as if life is passing by without and true get up an go from me. I think the only thing I really give my all is Motherhood but I know that that is not all that I should be doing ( lets just say I have let myself go I have grey hairs unpedicured toes and quite the spare tire and I dont mean the one for my car lol) and its not just that funny remark either its just a general feeling of blah!
Its times like these that I begin to dislike working weekends I have not been to church since I started back to work and well to put it bluntly I feel that maybe that is the motivation that I am lacking I need some spiritual intervention! Mothers group gets me by but I feel that I am needing more time with God-Does anybody know any bible studies and or services during the week at their church I would really like to find something out there to pick me up!
But enough of the Debbie Downer talk and onto the highlights of life right now (the "my bathtub is overflowing" part of the title. Will is officially a crawler and he as even went from crawling position to sit up position all on his own-he is such the big boy. We are having trouble getting him back to his crib and not our bed but I know it will happen in due time. I have recently started to take my love photography to the next level. I have begun taking pictures of my friends and coworkers children and well I love it so much. I really hope that I can excel at it and do it more often! Halloween was a blast I got to share the evening with family and friends. I am going to make and honest effort to make a little me time in the near future as well as a little married folk time I know that although it will be hard to not make mommy time my top priority but I am feeling that if I can make myself more well rounded it will lead to a better Cassie to share across the board in every hat I try to wear! Whats that phrase they say on tv Admitting you need help is the first step lol I am not sure that anyone even reads my silly little blog but getting everything off my chest makes me feel better already! Now off to dreamland in the bed minus one occupant (because he is actually asleep in his crib) woo hoo the battle stands Will 1/2 Mom 1

What a Week

This has been a very fun busy week! I worked my tail off to clean my house for my tastefully simple party last night! It was such a blast and I had such a great turn out! I managed to not burn anything and it all tasted yummy-I appreciate everyone who came out for the fun! This week was also a big week for the first time moms group that I am in at Hope. We dressed all the wee little ones on their costumes and took a group pic. I love going to this group everyweek it is so nice to interact with women who are going through the same things you are and to get pointers and tips of what worked for their babies! Wills 6 month photos are now on display you can go to ramblinrosephotography.com and type in Bousson in the password spot they are soo good Kim does fabulous work! That sums everything up in a paragraph more to come later!

Happy Fall

Isnt he precious?!?!

6 month check up

Well we got another good report at the Dr. Office this past wednesday. My little man is 17 pounds and 13 ounces- WOW I never thought that he would be able to double his birthweight (9.5 lbs) but he is only 3 ounces away and well he had a stinky before his weigh in and it was WAY more than 3 ounces lol! He is in the 60th percentile for his weight. He is 27 inches long which is in the 75th percentile (Dr. Hanson said hes looking tall ) and finally his HC (head circumference) was 43 which is also 60th percentile. He did have some green snot and a pretty sad cough :( but the Dr. said everything else looked goo and no fever so its just his first cold. Hes been such a trooper there have only been a few instances where he has just looked really puny other than that he is always on the go. He's still working on crawling he is currently in the scooting phase he will get on all 4 then plop himself forward and push up again, it quite cute. His sitting up has gotten much better Dr. Hanson said he was doing great bc most babies can only sit up for a few seconds at his age and he can do it for a good 45 sec to a min-but then its TIMBER! Just recently he has found the pups to be fascinating and they are happy to let him tug on them, I think they think he is petting them. And I think the funniest new thing is the highchair we are getting him into a routine of breakfast lunch and dinner and well the dogs have already caught on and since they know food will go flying during the animated feeding frenzy the can all be found underneath the highchair! I love it! and speaking of highchair it doesnt play very well! We had a run in earlier this week and well I am really beginning to wonder ig I need to go get my foot checked out?? It wasnt pretty and thank goodness Will isnt talking yet bc im pretty sure my vocabulary wasnt kid friendly :( My foot rammed into the back whel of the highchair and bent my pinky toe back but the funny part is that is what hurts its about halfway down the outside of my right foot and it KILLS! Each day it is gettign worse instead of better so I will continue to hope for the best and maybe by monday if it still hurts i will go get it checked out???
But enough griping and typing I have a busy day todayIts clean house and get costume ready day! I have the O'Connell Halloween Party Saturday and then I have my Tastefully Simple Dip party nect Wednesday so I have lots to do!

Sneak Peak

Ok so we were able to change our photoshoot for Wills 6 month photos for today instead of wed. This was fabulous bc even today Will was looking a little under the weather I think he is getting a little cold bu he still keeps trucking along! But ne ways the above pics are fro Kim Miller at Ramblinrosephotography.com She did our wedding photos so it was a must that we have her snap some shots of Will and although he was his little chipper self he was still a good sport and the above are just a few that she posted on facebook we should get to see the rest next week. I love them already and although I sad i would only pay for even pics and I would do my own odd month pics we may have to go back for 9 month photos..hmmmm??? I recommend her to everyone they were so patient and let us feed him to get him in the mood! the naked with hat pics are my fave thus far!
After the photoshoot I went and got my h1n1 shot and now my arm and head hurt go figure but atleast i wont bring home Will any presents from work.....hopefully! Well thats it for now oh but wait i almost forgot to mention i put the pics in the cute little collage i am slowly getting the hang of this photoshop thing!

A fun Filled Week Ahead...

well the last work day of the week is approaching a close...FINALLY! It has not been a good weekend to say the least! But oh well it is over and I will have yet another whole week off to spend with my friends and family (really trying to focus on the good things about being a weekender rather than the bad :) as for the week ahead we have quite a busy schedule. I hope to be photographing some coworkers children monday and or tuesday. Erin and I and our children will be going to the cedar farms pumpkin patch on tuesday for a mini photo shoot. I am photographing her son in return for the awesome longall that she made Will (pics to come) so we should have an awesome day. Although Will will not have a clue as to what is going on I am going to let him pick out a wee little pumpkin so we can decorate it for his first Halloween! Cant wait! Tuesday is actually Wills 6 month "half birthday" so we will be celebrating with a yummy half cake (that he cant eat but I sure will enjoy!) I got the idea from a friend so i am super excited! Wednesday we go to the Dr. for our 6 month check up and then I probably made the stupidest (is that a word) executive decision ever but I scheduled his 6 month pics with our wedding photographer Kim (Ramblinrosephotography.com) for 2 pm AFTER his appt with shots :( Hoping for the best bc hes done good after his shots thus far but the REASON (see I have a motive) is that Joey will be off bc of his appt so I really want family pics too so if it doesnt work out hopefully we will figure out in the first few minutes and we can reschedule or atleast thats the plan? Moving on thursday I have my 6 month check up woo hoo, the only thing about the week that I am NOT looking forward too! and then Friday Joey has three back to back rain make up softball games, the ironic part is that it is suppose to rain friday-but dont tell him that! And saving the best for last Sat is the O'Connell Halloween Bash which is like the best party of the year and even though i will have to be a good little cabbage patch kid I am sure that I will have so much fun and Will is going to be the cutest little....guess you will have to wait a see :) Ta Ta for now.

A Weekly Update

Ok so another week has flown by man they werent kidding when they said time flies when you are having fun! This week we took some fall pics (see above) really we just played in the yard since it felt amazing outside and i had to snap some shots bc hey thats what i do! I am excited to say that will has hit a huge milestone this week he now has 2 teeth, well they hae broken the skin atleast and we have two little nubs. Its so exciting I cant wait to get a picture of them but for now he isnt showing them off to much! On to another subject I entered will into the gap casting call contest so if everyone would please go to family.go.com/gapcastingcall/entries/cbousson and if that doesnt work just google gap casting call and type in cbousson to search for Will's page and vote. I think I linked the link (lol) to the blog title so click on that and it should take you to Wills page! Besides a HORRIBLE day at work everything is just peachy but daddy and my baby just got home so I must go and enjoy some loving. Night Night!

Cassie vs. The Blog

So I am still up and what can I say I am a bit obsessed at this point. I have now figured out the font on the blog and let me just tell you the photoshop part was the easiest! I have been working on this ALL night but I must say I am very pleased with the outcome! My next project is to figure out how to use the buttons and the blog dividers I have the cutest little owl but I have no clue how to use him...(tear). I must say that my inspiration has come from Jessica at lovefromtexas.com she is practically family and well her blog is just to die for! I have bugged her many a time and she has always helped out (p.s. if you read this I will be bugging you about the above problem soon). Like I have said before to I just got photoshop and I am just dying to figure it out for the sake of my blog and my hopeful photo career. I am thinking of creating a blog for my potential business venture but I wanted to get good at the whole blog thing here before I created one for possible clients to view. An on that note if anyone knows anyone who is wanting photos done (i.e xmas cards, kid shots etc) please send them my way I am really wanting every oppurtunity to perfect my skills! I spoke with a few people who have seen my work and they helped me come up with my "signature" package. More to come on that! I am by no means a "professional" but everyone has to start somewhere and I am ready to jump in! You can see my work on facebook and I plan to post some of my favorite peices on here soon. think thats about it for now I really need to sleep so that when my child wakes up at 7 I wil be as chipper as can be :)

Cassie vs Photoshop...I win Round 1

Ok so after having a serious meltdown trying to figure out how to use photoshop I have made a break through..... my blog is finally cute! I still have a long ways to go but I feel very accomplished at this very moment! I do not see how people use this it is so insane. I googled some tutorials and have slowly started figuring stuff out! I hope to make my blog even cuter as time goes on but for now this is it I just had to share my excitment with everyone. As for life its same old same old which is good with me! We celebrated my moms birthday this evening by cooking steak and fries...YUM! I also made it to moms group this morning and really enjoyed todays chapters. Especially the chapter on Fear it put a lot into perspective for me. And to make it even better I found out that the author of the book we are read " My Bathtub is overflowing but I feel drained" is coming to hope in January to speak to the moms groups...YEAH! More details to come. But as for me I am gonna go back to exploring the wide world of photoshop> More to come :)
