I cant believe I almost forgot to post this. I am laughing just thinking about it as I type. So where to begin? I guess I should start out by warning any poor soul who thinks that they can get into our house. Please dont mess with Fort Knox haha. Ok so details I know none of this makes sense without them. Well last night me and Joey actually went to bed early we were exhausted! Early for us is 10 ish. Well at about midnight we woke up to one of our dogs barking. We have had the dogs for ten plus years and they are just like children they have different barks for different situations and this bark was the usual "lets be annoying bark" So we both shooshed him and rolled over to go back to bed. Well then a few seconds later was the growling bark that usually means the mailman has dropped off the mail. So Joey jumps out of the bed and is about to go repremand the dog for waking Will up when he hears someone jiggling our front door handle. He flies back to our room and looks out our window and says someone is rying ot get in the house. I automatically Freak Out! So he is grabbing the shot gun and LOADING it while I am trying to figure out what in the world is happening. Well he races back to the front door and I hear him open it and I am like WTH are you doing. o about that time I shut Wills door and go into the living room as well (yes I know havent I seen enough scary movies to NOT do this) Luckily it is not a burglar. Instead it is some WASTED girl???? Joey (mind you he is in his underwear holding a shot gun at the front door) not so nicely asks the girl what she is doing at our house. Poot thing is so wasted and I am sure scare that she sees Joey in his underwear and say Oh and then sees the gun and says OH then she cant even talk she says she is just suppose to be down the street a bit and turns and walks off. We were so confused. Luckily she didnt make it in our house or I am afraid to say things could have been far fom funny :( We dont live in a bad area but we do live in East Memphis ad there are a few crazies around so are home is definitely protected. Well later we were trying to think of where she could have meant to g and then we heard another loud truck in front of our house so Joey again jumps up and looks out the window to see our new neighbor getting home. Well then Joey puts two and two together see they have the same truck so Joey calls him real quick and asks if he has a girl staying with him and he says yeah its my friend sorry man she said she cam to your door. At that point Joey is laughing hystericaly bc she mentioned nothing of the underwear or the SHOTGUN. After Joe tells the neighbor you can then hear him laughing over the phone and he says she forgot to mention that and now he is going to make fun of her. Poor girl. Sooooo moral of the story Dont get so wasted you end up at the wrong house bc you might get more than you bargain for.

Uh Oh
Ok so in my last post I toally forgot to mention Wills favorite new phrase. I am going to have to get in on video but he will drop and /or intentionally (sp?) throw something down and say "UH OH" and giggle. He thinks it the funniest thing ever. And I know he does it on purpose sometimes bc he will get so excited and accidently say UH OH first and then throw down whatever he has in his hand. It keeps us laughing for hours. He chams anyone in sight. He has an swful big vocabulary which I am sure most babies his age do but some of his favorites he says right now are -dog, cat, mama, dada, mimi, gigi, Jude (one of our dogs),oooooohhhh, wow, ooohweee, and the most popular wouldbe NO. I mean really how ddid he learn NO I guess I say it way to much so i have tried to use alternative words or phrases to maybe ax that word out of his vocab but none the less when he look at me and says NO it takes everything I have not to laugh bc it is just to funny the way his lips pout in his pronuncition lol! I often when did he grow up so much I put him to bed and he wakes up even bigger than before. Each month I try to get better about blogging what he is up to and I know one day I will look back at all this and laugh!

Italian Fest Revelations
so last night ws tons of fun at good ole marquette park. It was Italian fest time again. but this year i have made a few observations of my time spent celebrating the italians...
1. the older I get the less beer it takes to get drunk.
2. You should never drink what appears to be a cherry limeade, especially not multiple glasses.
3. For that matter dont go near the strawberry shot man either one word....moonshine!
4. acting like a fool only use to be cute- not so cute when your almost 30 (infortunately I am talking about me)
5. Rain and humidity do NOTHING for your hair
6. If you wear wedges/heels to italianfest you are probably eleventeen (I got that from a friend too funny-i was wearing flops btw)
7. When walking home be careful to mind the sidewalk it will attack if provoked (sp) as evidence by my minor case of road rash on the inside of my ankle.
8. And lastly if you are going to do all of the above DONT take pics of the proof HAHAHA
I had a great time but this morning definitely reminded me why i dont need to party like a rockstar bc I so cant hang like I once was able to.

Making Progress
So if you read my blog you know thatWill has been taking steps here and there on and off for the last few weeks, and you also know that I am soooo not ready for this transistion. I guess not ready is not the right word more like totally scared at the idea that he will literally be all over the place once this happens. Well I must admit that as he gets closer I am slowly getting excited about the thought of him walking. Well to my surprise he walked across the entire formal living room this am. Of course I was in shock watching him that I didnt think to get the camera/flip so this video is me after the fact trying to get him to do it again. And of course he does not want to play along. He takes about three steps cries and says NONONO! But the video is still too cute so I thought i would share. So who knows maybe we will have a full fledge walker by the end of the week. And when we do if everyone would please pray for me lol!

New Toy/Karma is a......
Too get started i got this canon deluse set for 149.00 YEAH it came with camera (199.99 alone) the pink case (20.00+) and a memory card (20.00) so I saved 100.00!!!! With that being said i must start at the beginning i stood in the electronic department of target for what seemed like days I was looking for a cheap camera (you would think I would know better but it is just for fun) i looked at nikon, samsung, koday, etc. I really wanted the canon but i didnt want to spend 200+ soo i debated. Then a girl came up to buy the canon and the guy told her he had a deluxe kit (as described above) so she took it well then I just had to have one bc the display canon was blue and this one was pretty pink and it came with everything so I figired it was worth the splurge. So as the guy is ringing me up he tells ne its 149 blah blah and i was like OMG yeah me! So as I walk out to and get into my car i get so excited and call the bunny to tell him about the heck of the deal i just got. As I am leaving target i literally get this gut feeling to check it out see i have left target and got home with a USED coffe pot before so since i wanted the camera for Zoo Brew which was last night i decided to stop and give it a one over. WEll as I do all looks well except i notice the camera in the boxis BLUE no biggie but the i see that is is scratched and dented. OOOOHHH I was sooo mad, so I storback in and they of course refunded my money they of course then didnt have anymore so then they call the colonial store and they have one. So i drove all the way over there just for them to tell me that it is 179.99. So not my day so i explain i just paid 149 so after a few minutes of persuading they decide to let me have it for 149!
Now where does the Karma come well you see this experience made me remember a not so nice moment during my pregnancy where i might be considered the inconsiderate person on the other end of the exchange. While getting Wills nursery ready we put down a black shag carpet (not real shag but close to it) it was soo cute until one of the dogs PEED on it! If you know me you know that i am very bad about smells I have a million glade plug ins and I still feel like my house stinks Im OCD about smells. So as soon as I knew there was pee in the nursery thats all I could smell and I was soooo upset! So in my 8 month pregnant glory I rolled the rug back up and went and returned it to get a new "non pee" one. So now you see that Karma does exist lol I am proof. And if you are reading this and you are the current owner of my pee rug I apologize to you because I now know what it feels like to be on the other end. HaHa Hope I havent offended anyone with my story just thought it was too funny to share :)

Birthday Fun

So today we FINALLY met back up with our FTM group to celebrate with some Birthday Fun, it has been too long thats for sure. WE met up at Shelby Farms and I was afraid it was gonna be SUPER hot but we were in the shade and it was just fine. Will didnt even sweat (bless his heart he is so hot natured). Will had fun playing outside and while all the other little children were playing nicely on the blanket my child was heading for the woods, which didnt make me feel any better as I was taking the group shot and as i looked through my camera lens i noticed my child was missing-great mommy moment huh?! He was missing though he was just jammed in the middle of everyone :) After our shelby farms fun we headed to Target to pick up toothpaste and now wouldnt you know that i did not get out of there without baby junk (most not needed) workout cloths (bc you know me i am sooo athletic) and then my toothpaste lol told you guys you cant get out of Target without a 100.00 tab! I also am in the market for a small digital camera. I have my great big one but my little one i usually take for adult fun nights has seen better days and i want to reinvest in a new one. Does anyone out there recomend a particular brand/style? ive had a canon powershot and an olympus. I loved the canon but dont really wanna drop 200.00 on a camera that i will hardly ever use and i loved that my olympus was an underwater capable camera but the pic quality was terrible! soooooo after taking a peak i liked the new kodak easy share (it even has an upload button straight to fbook watch out!) but i am not sure if kodak is a good camera. so if anyone out there has any suggestions please send them my way.

Excited about the possibilities
soooo me and Joey talked about it today and we may be taking a trip with my sister to Colorado at the beginning of July! We both thought it would be really fun (minus the VERY long car ride with a one year old) but we are up to the challenge....possibly. There are still things we need to figure out like can we afford to take two trips this year etc. but I think it can happen. I am literally just thinking of all the pictures I could take lol (you know me!) On top of that fun news I also experienced my first crawfish boil last night and let me tell you it was sooo much fun (pics to come) Will stayed with MiMi and Poppy and we headed to Collierville to partake in the fun festivities. I have never been to a crawfish boil so it was a new experience but i iwas familiar with the corn hole and beer pong that was being played...EXCEPT I dont remember there being so many rules in beer pong??? Oh well I only played once, I lost and I know my limit and lets just say those wouldnt have gone good together haha! It was a good time but i sure did love seeing my lil man at church this morning :) I feel bad the past few weekends we have actually "gone out" and left him with our families quite a bit. Up until he turned one we hardly left him at all. I guess I am finally getting comfortable with the fact but After last night I was thinking we need a break from all the "fun" and then I realized we have plans this weekend and the next. I know I will have fun but at the same time it seems like a lot of going and doing. this friday we have Zoo Brew at the memphis zoo. I have never been and I am really excited about going and then the following weekend is Italian Fest. The Hubby is participating in a tent this year so I am sure he will be there all day everyday but as for me I will have to figure out what I am going to do . I wanna take Will (we can walk from our house) during the day and then maybe have some "adult" time friday night but we will see. I will say after that though that a much needed break will be taken.
today was also fun I put Will in his kiddie pool for the first time. He has already been in the grown up pool this year but this was his first experience in our backyard. He didnt seem to thrilled with it which was fine with me because there is something about outdoor pools like that that just gross me out( I know crazy right) . There are a few things i completely hate that make me laugh when I think about how there arebound to happen with a kid. Just to name a few....
I hate outdoor pools...why? Bc when you get out of them (like Will did today) you get dirty icky grass crap all over you and track it everywhere :) I also hate giving kids snacks/bottle in the carseat/stroller (but i do I am not that evil) bc of the AWFUL trashy mess that is left behind...yuk! I hate Milk and even more so the look and smell of sour milk (not a good combo when one of us forgets to grab a bottle or find one we didnt know was lost *vomit*). so those are just a few I can think of now but I am sure there are more. But to follow up with the yuk here are some of the things I LOVE.... hearing Will on the montior in the am and peeking around the corner just in time to see him get so excited that I am coming to get him, watching him "pop"out his paci whenever he sees abottle it is literally soo cute, watchin ghim try to walk and wave adnd say "BYE BYE" everytime we walk out our front door. he is such a character and he just keep growin everyday!. I plan on uploading lots of pics tomm after work.

Having It All
so I came across a great blog post this evening and wanted to share a bit, and to think i didnt think anyone out there felt the way I did...
"Have it all.
When I was young and stupid, I once got drunk and climbed on top of a 6 foot amp in Miami's Crobar (Insert the ATO house here for myself) and danced, let's say, rather expressively until I fell off (got yanked off by a sorority sister) and almost killed the guy underneath me. I should have been embarrassed, but it was one of those close races between completely mortifying and ridiculously funny and, given the way my arms flapped to save my fall and the way my legs landed all cock-eyed like one of those crime scene chalk drawings, it was an undeniable victory for Funny. Let's face it. Being a few sheets to the wind in your 20's wearing something fabulous and believing that, whether or not your mama gave it to ya, you're shakin' it...well, that's fun. Irresponsible, possibly...but still fun.
Then you get married and have kids and wearing something fabulous means nothing more than not wearing pajamas and shakin' it refers only to the way you have to wiggle your butt to weasle it into a pair of pre-baby jeans (Oh so true). You have girlfriend nights here and there where, sure, maybe you'll grab a bite to eat, slam a beer or huddle around someone's coffee table swapping birth stories or comparing milk supplies but, for the most part, gone are the days of collapsing on amps and chalk drawing landings. And rightly so.
But, then there's this secret appetite for it that dwells within. You feel it once and awhile--when you're in the car and this fantastic jam comes on. And you catch yourself tilting the rearview mirror down to reapply some lipgloss. And you want to dance, but you're in a seatbelt so you just imagine yourself dancing (now I never do this LOL). And in your mind, you've got moves that clear the crowds out to one big circle where they're all standing there around you screaming your name, clapping to your fabulousness because you are, most certainly, the World's Best Dancer (Oh God, please tell me I'm not the only one who's had that dream.)-NOPE your NOT You feel it when you're watching a movie and you see a bunch of girlfriends laughing, dressed like goddesses, throwing their hands in the air and their hips to the rhythm of some hypnotic beat that trances you into sucking the marrow out of life. And right when you're about to jump off the couch and join them, you trip on a Playdoh can or feel your milk coming in and you remind yourself that you're a mom. And moms stay home and love on their babies and know that life is really about family and home and reading Goodnight Moon. Moms don't wear heels and moms don't go to clubs and moms don't shake their hips to hypnotic beats.
Or do they? my favorite new quote!
So, I confess. I felt the appetite. The sirens were calling and I wanted to feel it again...to see if I still "got it." And as Saturday night approached and our arranged GNO loomed closer, I strangely was riddled with this guilty confusion. I wanted to wear sexy jeans and cram my toes into crippling heels but at the same time, I wanted to put my girls to bed and fall asleep to nothing more than the rhythm of their breath. I wanted to wear red lipstick and jam in the bathroom to Madonna while I pulled curlers out of my hair for our pre-night pep rally, but I also wanted to pretend like I was too good for this folly--that I was far too mature and in tune with what really matters than to fill high school cravings for dance clubs and daquiris...." and it goes on you can read the whole thing here @ http://www.kellehampton.com/
Its so funny how sometimes reading someone elses thoughts make you feel a little better. and I dont know about any of you but in the car I feel the "beat" a lot...then I try to make sure nobody saw me shaking it hahaha. I have to admit though I havent really let myself have "girls night out" since Will has been born.me and Joey have been out a few times and I think the first time I have really let loose was at BBQ Fest and it was really fun but then you go home and remember what really matters. So I know eventually I will find the middle ground or the best of both worlds but until then I can ease my internal struggle with myself knowing that there are other moms out there who have those urges too.

Who wants a Rebel?
http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=canon+rebel+xti&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=10031034198498442014&ei=WT_3S_WoLcyB8gbWgvi-CA&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=3&ved=0CBwQ8wIwAg#
And basically it told me that my camera is going for almost 400 bucks used (395 to be exact) so I am thinking of selling it for around 300-350 or anywhere in between there. If I have more than one offer I will try to be as fair as possible and do a random number generator like I see on all the other blogs so if you know anyone interested in a slighty used camera tell them to email me. I can even throw in a 4g high speed memory card for an even 375 (the memory card alone is like 45). I think thats it Hope this sparks someones interest :)

It is the simple things in life that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside (again crying while i type this) just had to share what happiness i feel on the daily basis with my blog family :)

Back to the real world

So the above pictures are about all we have seen of the outdoors lately. We took the one week hiatus of all activities and then this week it seems like we have been stuck around the house again eek! I have had a few photoshoots and we have run a few errands but other than that we have still been a pair of hermits....WE MUST GET OUT soon. I am afraid that wont happen until next week though I am sure. We have a photo shoot tomm and then fri i work. We have lots to do sat and the sun its back off to work. So nect week my goal is to get out of this house. Start our daily walks back up (I hope to meet up with my FTM's for this) and actually make some of the arranged playdates. Will hasnt seen his FTM friends in weeks is seems and I am craving some adult conversation! One thing that was keeping me in to was getting caught up with all my photo editing from my recent shoots and I am proud to say that I am caught up so again one less reason to stay inside. Hmmmmm maybe I will even have a playdate at my house next week???? Good thought I will have to send out an email about that one :) Oh well it is way to late and I have to be up way to early so it is bedtime...goodnight! Oh one more thing though Will started taking steps again today. He took some here and there last week and then got sick but today he was back on track so I am afraid we will have a walker before we know it!
