Well its been crazy the past few weeks, hard to keep up on the old blogging! Joey and I have been getting the house ready for Will's arrival which I feel like will NEVER get here. I feel like I have been on a crazy roller coaster ride, sleep has pretty much been out of the picture and I know that this will continue once our little man arrives but atleast it will an exciting adventure at that time. For right now my sleepless nights include incredible discomfort and awful reflux, theburning wake up with it in your mouth kind-sorry to be so graphic but thats just to explain how severe it is. Not to mention I am so anxious of his arrival that every different feeling or pain makes me think "is this it?". I know everyone says "you will know when its real labor" but I am very nervous that I wont because I have contracted for so long! I just pray that it all works out and everything goes well! On a good note with Will's birthday fast approaching it has made me think that I need to always be prepared so even when I dont feel like it I have been getting up and getting ready hair and makeup and all, I always get ready but the past few months looking my best hasnt been top priority. And to top it all off the whole getting ready thing has made me feel better, I still have the cankles but I have been able to make it through the days. On an even better note this is my last week of work after friday I will be off for 9 weeks a much needed break I might add, my emotions have made me feel very overwhelmed so getting to be at home with our newest addition will bring back some joy I am desperately needing! Other than baby news there hasnt been to much going on All of our friends babies are doing good, not to mention they are tooo cute! The pups our well and life is grand! Heres to hoping that spring will come back soon and that our little man wont wait till his induction date to come into this world, I dont think mommy could handle his birthday being 4-20 lol :(

The Past Few Weeks...an Update!
Well the past month has flown by, I have been so busy getting ready for Will that it has been hard to get a second to hop on here. Everyday my belly continues to grow, I am officially ready to POP! I am 37 weeks so only 3 more to go if he hangs in there that long. Last week at the Doctor he said I would be dilated by this week so lets hope so. I have been feeling more contractions here and there so hopefully he is slowly getting ready for the big day. I go to the Dr. again tomm and we are going to discuss the game plan of delivery. I told the Dr. that I didnt want to be induced unless I was going past my due date so he said we could discuss a date that we where both comfortable with just in case. We will see :) A few weekends ago our good friends Sandra and Cliff threw us a couples shower. It was sooo much fun the boys being there definitely made it memorable lol! The above pic is of Wills first monogrammed onesie and blanket, as you can see I was really excited! We have finally finished the nursery I will post pics soon, it looks awesome if I do say so myself, it is very simplistic but thats what I like about it! Now it is just a waiting game.....I still havent finished packing my bag for the hosiptal, I am almost there though! Speaking of hospital both the Cantrells and the Bagwells have had there little girls over the past 2 weeks the Cantrells welcomed Kate on the 19th and the Bagwells welcomed Adelyn on the 23rd. Me and Joey went to visit them both and they are just dolls! Will is gonna have lots of little ladies to watch over! Thats it for now I think more to come!

Baby Bousson is almost here!!!!

On Thursday I was 31 weeks and had my 4D ultrasound and would you believe the little stinker who is ALWAYS going crazy in my belly SLEPT the whole time!!! We were still able to get some good pictures though so it wasnt a total loss! The top picture he looked like he was resting his head on his hands just a snoozing and then the bottom picture is my favorite. I am in love with his chunky little cheeks! For those of us is the peds world they totally remind me of little TPN cheeks. His nose and mouth are also so cute and pouty in this pic. Of course he looks just like his dad and nothing like me but he is a boy so maybe if we have a girl down the road she will take after her mom :) After having this ultrasound I cant wait for him to get here, I mean I dont want any surprises he can definitely take his time but I just cant imagine the fun we are going to have once he is here! I am also excited because I am having my first shower next weekend. It will be so fun to get stuff for the bean and continue to get his nursery ready. Well enough for now I got to finish cleaning house so when daddy gets home on this beautiful Valentine's Day we can go enjoy this wonderful day and not stay cooped up in this house.

On a not so fun note.....
Yesterday we had quite the adventure. I was having a fabulous day at work when I started feeling a little funny. I thought it was just lunch so I went on about my business, but around 4 o'clock I still felt funny and it was getting a little worse. I was hot and dizzy and my cankles were the biggest they had ever been! I went to take my blood pressure on one of the other units and it was 121/80. Normally not high but see mine usually run low 100's over 60's and not to mention im on a drug called procardia for contractions but its actually a blood pressure medication. So to have an above norm bp on top of all this the girls thought I should call the doc. The only problem with calling the doc is then they want to see you :( So luckily I work with some amazing ladies and they worked it out so I could leave and run over to the doctors office. When I got there I really wasnt worried about my bp I was more worried that I had to leave work, when they took my bp there it was 134/86 which is way high for me! The Dr. came in to see me and said she wanted me to go to Germantown for some labs and tests :( So off i went to the hospital. Luckily once i laid down for a while my blood pressure went back down to 98/60, my labs didnt show anything crazy and my ekg was fine so I got to go home. I was super mad last night because not only did I have to leave work (lose pay) I had to pay (im sure a million dollars) for all they did at the doctors office and the hospital. After I thought about it I calmed down because I am lucky that nothing was wrong and that me and the little man are ok. I would rather go a hundred times and everything be ok than to go and find out something was wrong with our child or myself! I go back to the doctor on thursday so I am just hoping that he doesnt put me on bedrest! The pattern seems to be I do better when I am off my feet but I want to work as long as possible so I have more time to spend with him once he is here! So if everyone would keep the bean in their prayers I would appreciate it. I tell him every day he better behave but he's already started not listening and he's not even here yet.....

The Beans Nursery is coming along!
Posted by Cassie & Joey at 2:51 PM 0 comments
Well this past saturday we took an all day parenting class at Methodist. It was a lot of fun, we went with our good friends Charlie and Jessica who are also expecting! The day started out kind of slow but of course the boys knew how to keep everyone entertained! As a result of the class you can see that Joey now knows the proper way to care for a newborn-the above pictures are the before and after lol! On a serious note Joey really did a great job he is going to be such a good dad. As for me, I'm just hoping I wont have the urge to assess my child every four hours, or look around the nursery for a scale to weigh his diapers on. The idea of caring for a child not in the hospital setting is quite unusual but I know it will be more fun than i could ever imagine! Each week we get one step closer to meeting our precious son, until then he continues to use his mommy as a punching bag which in turn keeps dad busy rubbing my shoulders, and catering to my every need...I sure am gonna miss being preggers haha!

Nursery Status
So this weekend we finally started on the nursery! I know a little late considering I'm almost 30 weeks pregnant but with everything going on these days it was quite difficult to find a good time to get started! We kicked off the project by getting all the junk out of the room, prior to being the designated nursery this was our catch all room and it caught well EVERYTHING! We even put some items on Craigs list and they sold in like 2 days, I am a big fan and currently looking for more junk to get rid of we already sold enough to get the stroller I am in love with-the bumbleride flyer!!!! (check out bumbleride.com) Next we started painting, the color we chose is from Sherwin Williams and it is called Melange Green, after putting it on the wall I would name it LIME GREEN myself. I think it will still work but wow, I think the little man will need shades just to go in there. As for the furniture you can see it is still in the boxes. We ordered black furniture and all the reviews say black scratches fairly easily so although Joey has begged me to let him put it together in our formal living room and move it into the nursery I have refused to let him even get started until the room is painted so he can build his creations in there. I dont want walls or dogs to touch our babies furniture!

Like I said I am not very good at this......here are the pics that were suppose to be with the previous post!

Lets try this again...
Ok so its been a very long time (to say the least) since I have updated this blog. I have to admit I am not as good at this as other forms of online communication (i.e facebook, etc.). But with everything going on and changing in this Bousson household I thought it would be fun to jump back on the bandwagon so here goes nothing!
So these days I am a full time nurse at LeBonheur, I currently work three days a week but will soon be heading to the weekend shift. Why the weekend shift well for those who dont know (which is probably no one lol) Joey and I are expecting our first child this April! I am actually 29 weeks today. Pregnancy has been an amazing adventure. We found out at around 17 weeks that we were expecting a little boy and since then he has ceased to amaze us. I can only imagine how wild he will be when he comes into this world, because he is such the daredevil in the womb. I do believe the labor and delivery nurses know me by name at Methodist Germantown...I have been there a good 3 or 4 times thus far, I've actually lost count :) At 20 weeks I started contracting and hes just kept it interesting since then. I am currently on procardia per the doctors orders and it has turned everything around for the better! Instead of 4-5 contractions and hour I have 4-5 a day. Not to mention the girls at work say they love the new happy "procardia Cassie". I have to admit that I do to! I can now enjoy the simple things like feeling my little man kick me all day long, Im thinking he will be quite the athlete. He will also be such the ladies man, we have a number of friends and family who are having babies all at the same time and all of them are GIRLS! Our little bean will have so many to protect and act as a "big bro" for.
If your wondering bean is the nickname we have given our little man. The name choice has been a very hot topic in our household and from the beginning before we even knew the sex "the bean" just seemed to stick. His official name is still in progress, we may just keep it a secret until he is here , who knows. We have a few ideas in mind for his name and mainly me a Joey want it to be special to us and not be about anything else. This is our first child and it is such a huge decision for the both of us and we have so many things to take into consideration. But in the end I know everything will work out!
Other than the baby there is not a whole lot new going on with us, last August we celebrated our one year wedding anniversary in Cabo. We actually found out about "the bean" a week before we left. Although excitement was an understatement I definitely DO NOT advise anyone to go to an ALL INCLUSIVE resort while pregnant...if you get my drift. We are starting on the nursery this weekend, the furniture is here and the paint is picked out. I have posted a pic of what I hope the nursery will turn out to look like once we are done. And also a few preggo pics so enjoy and hopefully I wont be a stranger :)

My last night shift
Yeah! After one whole long month of working all night every night I will soon be done. I have 3 hours left and counting! so far so good. I am having the plessure of taking care of the cutest little baby and her family is just absolutely wonderful! I am kind of sad that I wont be back tomm to care for them again. But I will be glad to get some sleep! I have to get some rest for the big game. The Tigers in the Elite 8 again, hopefully this year they can get a win and move on up! As far as everything else going on in the Bousson world there is so much to talk about! As of wednesday it was official...we are going to Cabo for our one year anniversary!!!! We are goin gback to the same resort that we stayed in for our honeymoon. I am so excited. I really wasnt sure we would be able to go becaus ewe are going on the family vacay to Florida in July and the my best friend Rachel is gettin gmarried on the beach in Sept. But everything worked out and we are going to be there for a full week, I could not be happier! Also as of April 13th I will be taking care of patients all by myself. I will be out of the intern program! I am really excited but at the same time I am a little nervous. Joey is still selling Hummers if anyone needs one...haha got to throw in a sales pitch every now and then. Were also hoping to start fixing up the house. Ive been looking at options for kitchen renovations. I even went to the nursery a few weeks ago and bought plants! Alert the media b/c that is one thing I said I would never do, it was actually quite fun! Other than that its same old same old.

The Crappiest Easter Ever
There are many things about being a nurse that I love and then there are those things that I hate like having to work Easter Sunday night, not to mention the night before. I started my Easter out by heading home at 0730. I was planning on napping until 11 o'clock mass but what did I do...not wake up until 1056 which meant no Easter mass for Cassie :( I then tried to find a church that had 5 o'clock mass aroundmy house, well everywhere had 6 o'clock but no 5 o'clock so no church for Cassie this Easter. And then to make matters worse I had gone to a baby shower the day before so I was so exhausted that I continued to sleep all day! which meant no family Easter, not with my husbands family nor with my own. But my wonderful hubby did bring me Easter food...yummy! And Finally two little words are all I have left to say...Go Tigers! They played like crap and still won the game so that means on we go to the sweet 16 :) And go figure they play next friday, the same exact day I come back to work which means again I wont get to watch the game...night shift stinks ( atleast the coworkers are fun!)

Night Shift
Oh My Oh My where do I begin....Well since the last time I sat down to type a post many a things have changed. I am no longer a nursing student. Thats right the state actually gave me a license and I am a RN (Registered Nurse for those of you who dont know). It is quite rewarding I must say. Over the past few months of orientation I have learned so much. I will be out on my own soon, BUT before that day comes we are made to do a WHOLE month of night shift. So lucky me I got night weekends. Besides the pay there is nothing awesome about it! I cant tell you the last time I ate a real meal (after this month I will never touch a hot pocket again!) I guess I should take some of the last comment back. The girls I work with are bunches of fun. They like to play jokes so that keeps you awake and on your toes. However the drove home is about the worst thing there is! And not to mention I totally miss my husband, we have maybe stayed away from eachother over night like 5 different times before this month now I have maybe seen him 5 times :( The light at the end of the tunnel is getting clearer. After tonight or today since its 3 am I will only have 4 shifts left and then its back to days...YIPEE! I think that is enough for now more posts with more pics to come :)

Long time no post
Well my oh my has it been a long time since my last blog. I guess that is what happens when you enter your last class of nursing school . But good news...I am officially DONE! No more nursing school all I have left is graduation and then boards. I cant describe how amazing it is to feel that you have accomplished your goal.
On a sad note I had to deal with my first bad day of pediatric nursing. I always knew bad things could happen but I never had to "deal" with it. Well today I dealt with the death of a past pt. and well it was quite frankly the most horrible experience of my life. I dont even know why I would write about it but I guess it just helps to get it out. Due to HIPPA I will stop now but I just ask that everyone keep the family and our staff in their prayers, everyone will need them.
On a lighter note yesterday was my last clinical day with adult patients and upon my arrival home my wonderful husband Joey had made me a steak dinner with a fire in our new fire pit we got as a wedding present. Although the thought makes me smile I still have the sadness n my heart. All I can be gratfeul for is that I havent lost my compassion throughout my career and Ihope I never do. Thanks to all who may read this and again please say a prayer for our angel :) May God watch over him and be with us all!!!!!
