Update

So today was a better day....until tonight. Which has me thinking this is a sleep related thing as well. Last week was a late week and so far this week he has been asleep before 8:45 ( which is the norm but last week was BUSY). Totall crazy but i got an email from babycenter.com today talking about tantrums and how to deal with them so we will see if any of those tips help. I dont even know how to begin to explain the feelings I have had today or the express the concern, stress I have to fix this "problem" that has become apparent overnight!

Okay so let me back track, when i picked Will up from school today istead of the usual "he did great see ya wed" that we normally get I got the report that Will all of a sudden doesnt want to share, SCREAMS and tries to HIT the other children! WHAT!? seriouly am I hearing these words. My precious happy go lucky son is now the class bully. Needless to say this was ALOT to take in and on no sleep (quite a long weekend between work and events). I mean where did he even get this? Now dont get me wrong my child is NOT perfect he is a boy who likes to get dirty, who likes to test mommies limits and who definitely doesnt always want to share/play/give love etc but all that was being described to me was MUCH more and as much as i hate to admit it Joey and I witnessed it just this morning prior to MDO. I had gotten home from work and gave Will his breakfast and I grabbed a pop tart. Well he must have wanted my pop tart bc instead of signing more please (like usual) he begins stomping pointing a squeeling. We quickly reprimanded him but he was still firm in his conviction that it was gonna be his way or no way. Joey said this screaming took place all weekend.

I guess in saying this my next question is what do you do. I know that children will have their moments and i dont believe that Will is going to be any different but this new found tude is so well extreme. Im use to his usual personality. I know hes teething and I know he didnt get much sleep this weekend so i wonder if these can be factors that could take some of the blame ( not all I know)

As far as discipline i think time out is going to work better for him. We were popping his hand/bottom (never really hard just doing so with a firm NO) well that just turned into him laughing thinking it wasa game and whenever we would say No he would smack his own hand. I decided REAL FAST that i didnt want to continue this methid. A few times since then i have sat him beside me and told him he was in time out for 1 minute and that has seemed to work. And if he starts getting fiesty and we are in a "safe" place i walk away and that really works but who can walk away at target... I mean come on! So I am ALL ears for suggestions on how to nip this in the bud!

Ok so I feel better getting all this off my chest! Now its time to sleep!

so that about sums up the end tables. overall I am pretty happy with thte outcome. They are a little peely (probably bc of my sanding) so i am going to put a couple coats of poly over them. I think I will also be hitting up home depot today to find some cute vintage knobs. As far as furnture goes I believe that is it. Now it is time to get to the walls painted and the bedding squared away and then we will be good to go :) Once I get everything together i will take pics and post them :)

I am pretty sure the green blur to the top right by Will was one of the assailants (sp?) Anyways this is what our home looks like most days now, cars, cars and more cars. I think I could get rid of every other toy and this little guy would still be content! He is also getting into books more and more these days and his vocabulary is expanding by the second. He is in to repeating everything so its not like he is using all these "new" words all the time but just hearing him say them is hilarious. For instance at Target today I game him a book the kind where you can puch the button and it says the work on the page well i turn it to the page with a ball and the opposite page has a cat, well he points and says cat clear as day. And they must teach him to count at school or he really is listening when I give him to the count of three (hehe) bc when i was trying to teach him how old he is I said 1 and he said 2 right after. And just so i dont forget this in the future this is my FAVORITE thing he is doing right now-animal sounds. he can do lion, monkey and cow. It is seriously too cute for words.

We are having our fair share of teething around here but its not to bad with the exception that everything goes in his mouth (yuk) so mommy is always on duty. He also started going to MDO twice and week and he loves it. He is even sleeping on his napmat :)

Geez other than Will what else is there to talk about. Well i think i vented in a previous post about work scheduling and needing off a day that i was unable to get....well i got off work this saturday so me and Joey will be attending one of my old sorority sisters wedding and i could not be happier to partake in the fun. I also have a senior photo session first thing in the am followed by a first birthday to photograph followed then by a first birthday to attend then the wedding and hopefully a bachlorette party to end the night.....ALL on no sleep bc since i am not working saturday night I am no working friday night :( But i have managed onno sleep before and I am praying for just a small amount of nap time!

I also went shopping today and got me two new pairs of jeans. I havent bought anything for me in forever and it feels so nice to have something nice and new! Earlier in the week i bought two dresses and a pair of shoes and while leaving the mal tonight i spotted one more dress that i might be purchasing by the end of the week hehe. After that i will have to go back to my no spending money rule.

Operation Master Bedroom Redo is still in affect we have made some progress. The endtables are now done and awaiting a coat of poly. The headboard is done just needing some tlc from the hubby (by the way i have decided he needs a name all the cute blogs are doing it lol) I also moved the dresser and started painting the trim. So i would say we are a good bit into the project and maybe it will be done by the end of the year :/

Will is getting his first big boy hair cut tomm. I hope all the curls dont disappear but his hair is just a HOT MESS these days and even my pricey antifrizz serum cant cure that so off we go to get it whacked! I am gonna get my hair done too who knows what I will come out with hmmmmmm!

my next project....

Goal: to make these two nightstands look like the above photo....hmmmm wonder if I can do it??? I actually have left over green paint from the bathroom remodel and i still have the black fox paint from the head board so I am thinking of using those two colors to distress and then using a glaze over the final thng???? Wish me luck. When I started this remodel i wanted to be done in a week BUT that is obviously not going to happen ( i picked a very busy week hehe) but then i realized there shouldnt be a rush i want this done right so I am going to take my time finding peices. And have i mentioned that I am loving craigslist?!?! My total "furniture" bill for this remodel will only be 75.00. I plan on getting these end tables today but i probably wont start on them until next week. Tonights goal is to putty the few nail holes in the wall and PICK a wall paint color ( this is very hard for me bc I am sooooo indecisive)

In other news I am completely stressed out at having to make my schedule for work out a month in advance ugh sometimes it just really sucks bc after I got this months schedule i found out about 3 different functions going on on a day that I HAVE to work :( And bc the economy sucks and everyone is on a budget I cant switch shifts with anyone who has offered to switch with me (weekeday people) so looks like I will be missing a first birthday, a college friend-sorority sisters wedding and a bachloretter party. Woo Hoo for me how did i get so lucky! There is one person that might be able to switch with me I am waiting to hear back so i will be crossing my fingers and praying that it all works out bc i really want to go to all these fuctions. Two are for family and one is for my college family so HOPEFULLY.......

Well I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens!

Now I am wondering if i should even bother "distressing" it bc i love it the way itis and I dont want to screw it up haha. I thought the paint color was black but after painting it it turned out this beautiful gray color. The only dilemma now is that i was going to paint room a browny color but now im thinking a warm beigy color nless anyone has any recommendations on another color that would look good. The walls need to be somple bc the bedding is loud ( crud still need to post a pic of it) Anyways i need to be getting ready for a shoot just wanted to post my fun day of craft work yesterday!

Ok so every few months i go this stressed out phase where I hate my house, I need a bigger nicer one yada yada yada. Well this is when I usually get a hair to do something crazy and since i have been "talking" about redo-ing the Master bedroom for months bc it is soooo BLAH i decided that this week it must be done!!!! We dont have a headboard and that drives me crazy! i have been researching forever and never find anything I am just crazy about until now. While I LOVE LOVE LOVE the middle headboard (fireplace mantel turned headboard) i just dont think it goes with the feel of our home right now, not to mention i looked for mantles like it on craigslist and they are a fortune!!!!! SOOOOO onto my other options and I am totally feeling that picture number 3 is meant to be bc there i have found this same mirror and I hope to pick it up tommorow! So everyone say a prayer that it isnt sold!!!! I know I want a light chocolate brown (coffee with creamer kinda color if you get my drift) but have not found any samples i love so if any of you have a suggestion I am ALL ears! I also want to find bedding I had picked up some cute bedding from tj's a while back ( very loud bright paisley quilt and shams) it was very cute but since purchasing i have changed my direction-so if anyone wants to see it let me know and i can send you details! Well until I make headway in the bedroom rehab and post pics i guess i will wrap it up with a stay tuned.......

Busy Week

So this week has been crazy busy! I dont think we could have jam packed anything else in it if we tried. Monday was a Holiday so we had people over. Our evening was full of corn hole cooking out and conversating with friends. Tuesday I was suppose to have a newborn photo session but Will woke up with a awful spider bite on his hand that was severely infected (yes i know this is bite number two eek so they will be coming to spray stat!) we headed to the dr after a phone in and the dr said it was good that we came in bc he needed an oral antibiotic. After a few days of the antibiotic his hand is looking so much better! I too had a Dr appt on tuesday (insert female stuff here so skip down if you dont care) So as I have said in the past Wills "entance" into this world was quite eventful and to be honest we arent really sure what happened bc my dr office has very poor records to say the least. Well since it was that time of year again and me and Joey are discussing the idea of trying for baby number two I decided to change offices. I saw Dr. Martin at Mcdonald Murrman and I could not be more pleased. Everything was beyond great the office the time i waited the Dr herself. The only downside would be the fact that I explained to the dr what took place during my delivery and the dr does believe that I had an abruption (frowny face). BUT she thinks it was more due to timing ( i was almost 41 weeks) and his sz (9.5 lbs) and the fact that i went in in full blown labor combined with pitocin equals not a good outcome. It feels good to have an idea of what went wrong but knowing it was my body is not exactly that great. I asked if this would be a concern the next time go round and she doesnt think so. she said obviously I would be monitered closely but since all this took place late in the pregnancy and not a say 24 weeks that the likelyhood of it occuring again wasnt as strong so lets all say a prayer that that is true!!!!! So like a said overall the visit went good and who knows maybe sometime in the beginning of the new year we will be expecting Baby Bousson number two (not anytime in the immediate future). So that sums up tuesday.
Wednesday we had Moms group Kickoff at Hope and it was great. I am still concerned with childcare issues. they seemed to be the same (if not worse) that I have expressed in past posts. Will of course does great its not that i am just concerned with the "attitudes" of those in the rooms. And then worst of all I went to pick up Will after the kick off and nobody was paying attention to anything. I couldve walked in and taken any child and no one wouldve ever known. It was kind of scary. I had to go over to one of the workers and tell her that i was taking Will with me. I am just going to keep praying for a resolution to my stress with this matter. I a, not going to stop meeting with the women who played such an important rol in my first year of motherhood just bc of this I just hope that things make a turn for the better so I can feel better about my decision.
Enough about that onto thursday which was Little Gym trial day. Let me just say this is soooo up Wills alley. He could run around and play and not worry about hurting himself on anything. I loved it. There were only one only person other than Will in the class so they said we could come try it out this weekend and try out a bigger class. The only thing that kills me is the price! Has anyone else looked into little gym it is down right pricey. I believe it would be worth it but still OUCH! . I think thats about it for the week. Like I said too much excitement for one week. Now I get to work the weekend away. Yup thats right all three in a row bc i only worked once last weekend. So next week I think we will take it easy to say the least :) I have so many pictures to post i need to get them up here hopefull that will happen next week too. Until then :)

So ever since Will has become mobile I have stopped taking him to shoots mainly bc it is just to hard trying to take pictures and keep up with him. On the rare occassion though i still have to load him up in the stroller to tag along (mostly when everyone is working). Not the ideal situation of course but as you can see from above it definitely has its advantages sometimes. I LOVE the shots I got of him. I am planning on making a photobook soon so I am trying to capture a little bit of everything. I will be sure to post my progress.

Oh and also being my assistant sure did wear him out he slept for hours afterwards!

Long time no post

Well since we got home from the beach i feel like we have been going non stop. The ride home from the beach i started to feel funky and wouldnt you know i ended up being sick the whole weekend with fever, chills, etc. I still went to work on sunday night and made it through although i felt like i was floating around the whole time-gotta love sinus funk. So last week we just did things around the house and ran errand. We went to story time at Davis Kid one day. and I sent Will to MDO an extra day this week (fri) since i had to work all three nights this weekend, I figured playing with his friends would be more fun than napping with me all day. So i worked fri and saturday and slept the rest of the weekend away. We missed church on sunday but i was just plum exhausted and i heard it was crazy bc Amy Grant was there and no offense to anyone but just the idea of people only coming to church bc she was there kinda irritated to me (since that is not the reason to go to church) . I guess we wont really know that was the case unil this weekend but I am gonna go out on a limb and say it wont be nearly as crowded (but in the same sense if it is just as packed i think that will be a wonderful thing) So just like the rest of the weekend i slept the day away :( Joey took Will to the Childrens Museum for the first time and he said he had a blast! He took pictures so i got to see. I will have to download from my little camera so i can post them. After that they headed out to Bartlett since Joey had a softball game. Well at 5pm i got the call i had longed for all weekend i got cancelled from work...YEAH! So i went out to Bartlett and watched Joeys game and then we went to his parents for a bit. When I called work at i 9 thought I might have to go in but it ended up not being the case so i got to stay home. So after Will was in bed i started reading a new book. Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin . It was so good that i started it sunday night and finsished it yeasterday afternoon. I am now reading Somethin Blue (the follow up ) but i dont think I will finsish it as fast bc today is cleaning day at the Bousson house and I have a photoshoot this evening and we are gonna try to go to the redbirds game tonight with Will, Thats about all the excitement that has been occuring in our household so i gotta run and do another load of laundry :) More pics to come soon!

First Big Boy Day of MDO

So I totally forgot ( way to go me) to post about Wills first day in his big boy class at MDO! I am sure I have blogged about this before but I just love Wills MDO program and his teacher was just the most amazing lady. She loved Will so much ( Im sure she loved everyone in her class Im just speaking as in she was genuine and that made me feel that he was safe there). So when the time came for him to move up to the next classroom I was really stressed. I am not good with change and after having the not so great transition at church childcare I wanted this go round to go better bc this is a more permanent situation. Well Will missed his first day bc we were at the beach so this monday was the first time he went. I had my bestie...his "Aunt" Sandra make his a super stylin all boy (car-not the movie) nap mat and I packed his diaper bag and then Daddy took him off to school. It was a typical mon morning for me got off work had a photoshoot ate some lunch and then I went to pick up my boy. Well i got there and went up to the door and saw him playing away. Icalled his name and he waved and then he proceeded to talk (in his language) to me and point to every wall in his classroom as if to tell me all about what is on each of them. And he even did a little tappy feet dance. it was adorable I wish I wouldve had my flip. After that I met one of his teachers and spoke to her for a while and my heart was immediately put at ease She is just as wonderful as Wills previous teacher and she had nothing but good things to say about his day. He even did well sleepign on his nap mat ( this was the biggest concern for me) she said he slept an hour ( that is longer than he was sleeping in the other class). So I was pleased and Will was happy what more can you ask for? I snapped a pic on my phone but dont have all the cords to upload it on here so guess this will be a pic free post just wante to make sure i wrote about the experience before it left my mind :)

Storytime and then some

I must say today was bunches of fun! It was cool this morning so I wanted to get out and about the heat has kept us in lately. So Since I didnt have a jogging stroller to get out and the last time i went to a park near the house there was a freaky guy (and everyone was at work today) I decided we would at least get out and about so I thought I remembered the Davis Kidd had storytime so I looked it up and sure enough we were in luck. I read to Will at a young age and bless his heart is true boy and would rather play with trucks and trains than sit and read a book well lately he has become more interested in all his books so I am trying to enhance that every way I can. I would like to say he did well at storytime but truth be told i think that poor old lady who reads (and gets a little fiesty) was having her nerves worked by yours trully's little one haha. They put the trains up so Will found the little truck stand behind the lady and insisted he get trucks out of there that he then played on the train set with haha. I thought it was funny anyhow and he was being wuiet so he wasnt disrupting anyone else. Except for the part where I tried to take the little trucks from him and he went crazy ( dead weight and screaming and if you remember we are paci free so I had no ammo against this battle) So we quickly left leaving a trail of stares all the way out the door I am sure we were quite the site :) Afterward we hopped into the mall so I could return a bathing suit top i didnt use while in Florida...yeah for money back in my account! It was still pretty cool at this point (yes 85 is cool to me) so I though about a quick trip to the zoo but after a quick check in the rearview i realized Will had other plans as in a nap. So we headed home to nap. Whiel he napped I caught up on photo sessions. I am completely done with the exception of the newborn shoot i did yesterday woo hoo. Once Will woke up from his nap we played with out neighbors out front for about an hour and then we came inside and got ready for dinner.
Speaking of dinner Will is hilarious these days. He is signing "more" all over the place he wants MORE of everything. We just laugh and try to figure out what he wants. The other day we were in his room and he poked me and signed more and walked in the kitchen and pointed to his cabinet. Hes such a big boy! Where has the time gone????
