My 2 cents

Well what can I say last nights showing of Eclipse did NOT dissapoint. I wont spoil anything for anybody but in my opinion it was the best movie by far. Acting...a little better than previous movies and the makeup....much BETTER. Edward is not so pasty and SUPER HOT!!! Bellas wig on the other hand not so cute but you cant win them all. I will say that i did go get the Bree Tanner book bc they said it would help "explain Seattle in the movie" Well I do believe that was a ploy to get more money bc NONE of that book was in there and it played no part in expanding my knowledge of what was going on. So in short save your ten bucks that book is SOOOO not worth it! Other than that I have nothing but great things to say and I am sure I will be going to see it a few more times while it is in theaters. Oh and way to go Paradiso bc the crowds were handled great we got there at 1045 and went straight into our theater and got decent seats so then it was just a waiting game till the show.
Onto my second bit of 2 cents yesterday I bought the iphone 4 and here is my opinion thus far.
its not that much different than the previous iphone but with that being said it is pretty cool. I know that doesnt make sense I guess what i am trying to say is that unless you want it there is no real "need" to get it but if you do get it the stupid little non relevant things on it are cool ( and I am sure with the update for the old iphones many of these little things you can now do on the other phone) i like the spell check now it underlines your word when it is mispelled instead of just typing its own interpretation. the camera is MUCH faster and alot better quality. I never had the video nor did i think i needed it bc i have a flip camera but now i kinda like it. Facebook workd a lot faster (i know the simple things right haha) i havent use the multitasking yet so i dunno about that but what i have check out thus far is cool . Oh and my fave part is the face to face phone call so you can see eachother while you talk (such a mom thing to want so i cant now say night night to Will while I am at work... i know cheesy!) BUT you have to be connected to wifi to do it sooooo thats kinda a bummer.
Well I guess that is it for my two cents on both the new iphone and Eclipse.

Ok so boo my pics are small but either way I am SUPER stoked about tonight bc ..... ITS VAMPIRE TIME!!!! Thats right I have 2 tickets to Eclipse at 12:06 am. and prior to that I will be attentding my friend Emilys New Moon Party (watching New Moon to recap and get ready for Eclipse). I am so glad I have tons of friends who are twerds (twilight nerds) like me. I plan to post a review tomm!

Too Cute To not post...and I can explain

Ok so as far as explaining No we dont always have our boys naked lol. They were actually running around playing in their swimtrunks getting in and out of the kiddie pool and then as the sun was going down and mosquitos were coming out we decided to go inside. So off came the wet clothes and the swim diapers. And before we put the dry diapers on we had to let their little bottoms dry WHICH gave me time to take some cute pics lol. And I mean after all we need pics to use as blackmail for when senior prom rolls around right?!?! And on a second note after the bare bottom shots posted the other day and then these you can rest assure that you wont have to see my little mans bottom any time soon haha. I think i have all the incriminating (sp) photos i need!

"Pets" week at I heart faces

So after going back and forth over the many pics I have taken of my "first" 3 babies I thought I would submit this pic bc it depicts them so well...ALWAYS wanting to play outside. I believe this particular day it starting rainging so I called them inside and this is where they stood just waiting patiently to go back outside. The best part about the pic is that it is SOOC completely unedited. I used my canon 50mm lens and it created the perfect bokeh in my image that there was really nothign left for me to do to it. I hope other can enjoy it as much as I do :)

I must be dreaming

Ok so DONT get me wrong I LOVE taking pics and I am so thankful that God has blesses me with the ability to do what I love but heres a secret between me and you... I am SO EXCITED to get to go home straight from work and SLEEP today (seeing as its 3:26am) For many weeks now I have been doing shoots on saturdays and mondays @ 8 am when I get off work and this is fine with me bc it is not as hot and i get the shoots done instead of sleeping a few hours and then heading out (which makes you feel worse) Also Will goes to MDO on mondays and to my moms on saturdays so these are my baby free days to knock some sessions out. So in the grand scheme of things this workd so weel with my schedule but tomm I have NO shoots. So my plans are as follows....
1- go home and sleep!
2- go get a pedi (i have plans to go on tues with friends but I will have Will and I am gonna go out on a limb and say he wont like the idea of sitting in his stroller for mommy to get her nails done lol)
3- Go get a new baby monitor, ours officially crapped out fisher price=not so nice
4- start getting things together to redecorate our master bedroom. I bought some bedding a few months ago but to put it on the bed requires a paint change etc so let the fun begin! *also i came up with an AWESOME idea for some artwork for over our bed and I really want to create it soon so I can share my fun idea*
and the list could go on and on but I am pretty sure that is all I will get to do before it is time to pick little man up. I really need to add get a jogging stroller to that list bc ours broke and i really want to start walking off some of these lbs that are packing on out of no where eek!
And maybe after that I will take a nap lol who knows

Ok so this is a shot I took yesterday while playing with my new lens. I LOVE this pic bc it is crisp and even though you cant see Wills fave i think it just says so much about him ( I know I am crazy but pics like this are what keeps me taking em) So i of course had to edit them today (it was late afternoon and lighting was a little cool on the original photo) and then when I came up with these two i couldnt decide which one I liked more but I knew one of them was going to be the new header on my clog so i got to work and about hald an hour later my blog has been revamped...Hope you like. and of course leave a comment a let me know what you think :)

The Gala was so much fun and it was for a great cause! Food and drinks were yummy and hanging out with friends is always priceless. We were scared we were going to be overdressed but it was perfect! Will slept the whole time we were gone to so that made me feel better as well (he spiked his fever when we were getting ready I wasnt goign to go but everyone talked me into it) Overall it was a GREAT night!

My ring- one of the main reasons i wanted this lens i do a lot of ring shots on the hands/toes with newborns and it takes a lot of attempts to get the rings un blurry...DONT think I will have that problem anymore!

So I dont think there is much more to say about the new lens its AWESOME and I cant wait to use it. The flash is beyond amazing as well (see Wills previous post those were all taken with the flash)

Ok so I am posting like crazy tonight and in the midst of updating I almost forgot to mention my poor sick little man. He started running a fever sat (and he ALWAYS runs high fevers so we never know just how to handle it) well we gave him motrin and tylenol throughout the weekend and over the 2 days his appetite decreased his secretions increased and bless his heart he wasnt quite himself. We checked his temp this morning (at this time I am still wondering if he is teething) and he was 98 so we made the decision to send him to MDO. Well he did great other than continuing to not eat well and after I picked him up we came home and i put him down for a nap after a little bit of playtime. WEll around 430 he woke up SCREAMING and digging in his ears so I kinda figured at that point we had more than teething on our hands so off to the Dr we went (luckily we were able to get an after hr appt pretty fast) We saw a different Dr. that we hadnt seen yet but she was so good to Will and with one look in each ear we found our culprit a DOUBLE ear infection! My poor baby hes only had one ear infection prior to this and now a double whammy! He is being such a trooper though. Since he is allergic to amoxicillin we are on omnicef and I hope it knocks it out and we can move on! After the Dr we came home and played and he didnt get fussy again till right before bed time but now he is out like a light! I hate when my little one is sick you feel so helpless! Hopefully we will make a speedy recovery!

We had a low key fathers day. We went to church and then came home and napped. It was much needed after a fun filled night before at the Memphis Finest/Cystic Fibrosis Gala at the Zoo. Joey had two softball games which they won and then they spent some time in the pool while Mommy was off to work. It was a good night at work though so overall everyone had a great Day. Will and I are so lucky to have such a wonderful man in our life He is such a wonderful hubby to me and well I couldnt ask for a better Father figure for our son and geez does Will ever look up to him...already! I know boys are suppose to be mommas boys but he is a Daddys boy if I have ever seen one! Maybe one day he will like me more lol!

Super Pumped!

So today I made quite a LARGE purchase..... I finally bought an external flash and while I was at it I bought a pretty awesome lens (with a 2.8 aperture which means bring on the sharpness in my photos) . I have needed a flash for a LONG time now and it was the next in line of items for me to purchase and after talking to Wills newborn pic photographer Amelia (ameliajmoore.com) she recommended the canon flash and the canon lens that had the 2.8 apeture. Well the price tag for both of these items were as follows flash-599.oo and lens 1399.00.......YIKES! So needless to say I was a little discouraged i could get the flash but the lens would have to wait (a while lol) So I went to Memphis Photo Supply today and talked to Bud....He was SOOOOO HELPFUL! He showed me the above flash the nissen Di622 and with a price tag of 179.99 i was already pumped but to be honest it is a very SIMPLE flash which i think is good for me to start with. The canon had TONS of bells and whistles and at my point in my photography career i dont need all those right now. So I was sold. It even has a built in white card to bounce light as well as a diffuser. I have already practiced using it (pics to come) and indoor pics are already showing improvement. Now onto the lens i definitely did not need one seeing as i have 4 already but my best lens only had the capability of a 4.8 aperture speed which doesnt always cut it. I really want that sharpness SOOC (straight out of camera) and although i get it at times i wanted to increase that to EVERY shot. Well Bud didnt have a camera to put the flash or the lens on for me to check out (they arent a canon dealer which i am finding out most people arent?????) so i ran home to get my camera and headed back up to the store to test out the merchandise. While at home I also checked out some reviews on the different brands since i wasnt purchasing canon equipment and ALL the reviews said they were awesome! And you know the BEST part????? This lens was only 529.99 soooooo what did i do??? I got them BOTH! And I could not be more excited. I have 4 shoots this week as of now I am even MORE excited (if that is possible) to get to them :) But anyways I just had to share the good news and say a HUGE THANK YOU to all the wonderful friends and friends of friends who have asked me to take their childrens/family photos I would not be at the point in my photography career that I am without all the support and business from everyone....Thanks for having faith and believing in my work it means more than anyone will ever know. I hope to keep doing FOREVER!!!!!!
