New Years Resolutions

Ok so now that it is officially 2010 I have come up with a few resolutions for myself. 2009 was the best year I have had by far, I shared a 2nd wedding anniversary with the love of my life, we brought a son into this world and we are very fortunate to both have jobs that keep a roof over our heads. It cant get better than that can it?!?! Ok well here goes....
1.) I want to turn this blog into a sort of "scrapbook" to detail Will's childhood. A lot of moms I know (blogs I read) are set up this way and I think it is kind of like the "baby book" now a days, So I plan on posting more scrapbooky collages etc and more of Wills everyday life. With that being said I also want to try and PUT DOWN the IPHONE. In todays techno savy world you cant go anywhere without seeing people with phones up there you know what and well I am so one of those people so I want to try to only use it when Will is asleep so please pray for me that that goes well lol.
2.) ok let me start out by saying these are in no particular order because church and GOD definitely do NOT come after blogging it is just 5 am and well my brain is a little crazy right now. So anyways back to resolution number 2 I want to get more involved in church and read the BIBLE this year. When I became catholic prior to getting married (in 07) i felt really in tune with the church and well now not so much. Since becoming catholic we have actually began going to Hope Pres. (crazy huh) but we really enjoy it and I have also become part of a New Moms Group there and I love it, they really are a great group of ladies! I want to find more things to get involved in with Hope I am sure there are tons of things avaiable I just need to open my eyes and my heart!
3.) I really want to make a name for myself in the photography world. I have been doing pics on the side no for a few months and i would love to find a class and really dive in so we will see how that goes.
4.) Now that I am on night weekends at work I want to become a better wife. Once you have a child it is easy to get caught up in the new mommy role which dont get me wrong I LOVE but you shouldnt lose sight of the other roles you play (i.e. wife) so I hope to start having routine date nights now that I do not work every weekend day.
Those are the top things I can think of right now I am sure that I am missing some (oh yeah like lose a million pounds)
I hope that everyone can stick to their new years resolutions i know I will be trying to stick to mine!
Happy New Year to all may 2010 be a blessed year for EVERYONE!!

Disclaimer

Ok so after posting pics of Christmas this year i kind of got sad :( although I have Tons of pics to remember Wills first Christmas i feel that i dont have any of the pictures i wanted (family pic, grandparent pics etc)....darn stomach bug it really takes the spirit out of ya! And worst of all I dont have ANY pics from my Dads family Christmas (you see this is the day that Will finally got the bug and well we almost took a trip down to the ED but i was pretty hell bent on that idea for a number of reasons, but luckily i was able to keep him hydrated at home!)so needless to say I am kinda bummed but that just means I will have to pull mega picture duty next holiday season lol!

A Few Holiday Pics (to go with previous post)

The After Christmas Post

So what a whirlwind this holiday season has been! We had a GREAT first Christmas with Will! He loved every minute of it and I cant wait to upload pics on here! He did ok with presents, once he would get a piece of paper off he would rather eat it than open it any further. He did love his Santa presents though by his loud squeal of delight! the only downside to Christmas this year was the one gift Santa could have left at the North Pole and that would be the STOMACH BUG! I got on Christmas Eve while in church luckily a phenergan kept the emesis away (I HATE throwing up) but i still had the aches and chills etc. Then about 2 hours after my symptoms started Joeys started puking his guts up. Christmas Day was better and we went to more of our 5 Christmas' and then wouldnt you know it saturday afternoon while shopping our poor pitiful Will got the bug. Now it was awful enough to ecperience it myself and with Joey but to see my little man feel so crappy (literally) was just awful he couldnt keep hardly anything down. Today he was doing much better so i decided it would be ok to leave him with Daddy while i headed off to work. And that comment is not to say that Daddy cant care for our sick child but it s more due to the fact that the smell alone of stool makes him gag so i hope Will doesnt have to bad of a blow out while I am not there bc i dont know how that would be handled lol. Other than the bug the holidays were so much fun. I feel as though I didnt get to do as much cheesy mom stuff this year so next year i will definitely have to play catch up. I had a cookie plate but no cookies and im not sure what all pics i have but we will see and I am sure next year will be even better!

I love this (a little too much)

DaDa...What?!?!?!

Digital Scrapbooking

Ok so Yeah I DID IT! After trying to figure it out for quite some time I finally had time to sit down today and dive into this digital scrapbooking world and...I love it. It wasnt as comlicated as I thought it was going to be but it is still a little hard so my header was my first step and I think it looks pretty good. I wish i had figured this out a little sooner bc i sooo wouldve been able to creat the CUTEST Christmas cards but oh well atleast i am getting an early start on next year and well there is always Wills Birthday invites right???? Well I am so pleased that I just had to blog about my success (ok brag a little lol) and it only took about an hour (which is probably a really long time for what i did but compared to the last time I jazzed up my blog it was nothing. I am really sad though I switched layout templates and it took my pretty font away from my blog titles do and of my fancy blog owners know how i can fix it?? Ok so gotta go little hands are taking over my computer!!!!! I linkjed the title of this blog to the wevsite i found the FREE digi scrapbook kit for anyone looking to get into this stuff!

Almost Forgot Zoo Lights

Zoo Lights was bunches of fun but very cold. I think we kept Will bundled pretty good though he had no complaints. He was good with Santa for the second time around. Its events like these that get me excited for each year he gets older because i cant wait to see the enjoyment he will get from times like these! Just thought i would share some pics. Oh and it was not real snow it was soap but in the pics it looks like snow!

December Pictures

Tis the Season to be Jolly

Our Tree
(I know I know I must wrap some presents!!)

Wills Sock Monkey from Miss Sandra

Wills First Handprint
(Took some time to get it just right)

Technically Wills First Ornament
from last year when he was still in my belly

And Lastly....My Birthday Purchases
a Vera Bradley Diaper Bag-which is AMAZING!
and a Planner (to keep up with all my photo shoots!)
Ok so where to start updating???? This month has been SO BUSY! I have been so blessed to have tons of photo sessions with friends and family. I am planning to start a photography blog. I wouldnt say I am going into the "photography business" just yet but I need somewhere to showcase my work, my goal is to save up and get the Big Momma Canon so i can take even better pictures but its like 1200.00 soooo that might take a little while lol! But back to this blog, due to the massive amount of editing i have been doing i have not blogged in a while and well so much can happen in such a little amount of time. I have switched to the night shift at work and I LOVE it! I am so glad that God answered my prayers and at the time although i wasnt sure night shift was the answer i now see that it was! I get to not only be a stay at home mom but the "wife" role has come back into the picture because I actually SEE my husband now. This is also big news too because our New Years Resolution is to start fixing up this old house either to sell or stayin for a while....First priority is updating the view from the street (door, shutters, xnay the rod iron) and then its onto the....wait for it....Laundry Room. If it ever happens I will not know what to do with myself! I can trully say that although I am so greatful to say I own a home I will not rush into the next home purchase because this house has no "amenities" and lets face it there are just some things a girl needs like a laundry room , walk in closet, master bath and well the list could go on all day. Onto more exciting things though like Will of course! He is growing by leaps and bounds. He is always on the go these days he even pulls up on things and takes steps while holding on. He has let go a few times but falls on his bottom, I am afraid that pretty soon it will be another story. He is getting more talkative with his baby babble, and Just today he has really started say da da a lot. and he even says and wave hi sometimes. I cannot wait to celebrate his first Christmas. The pictures above are all of his ornaments that i had so much fun putting out this year. We have all of our shopping done i have just not been in the mood nor really had the time to wrap anything. There is one present under the tree and he enjoys playing with it. I cant wait to see how he acts Christmas morning! I will be sure to post a photo post soon after the occassion to fill everyone in! In other news last friday was my birthday and Joey did such a good job planning the event. He got some of our closest friends together The Hannahs and The Scholes and we went to Rendevous to see Robert Jr., he also got me Muddys Cupcakes and lets not forget that he went to Jareds (que cheesy commercial) He got me the cutest pandora charm it is a baby bootie with a blue stone on it. I will have to add a bracelet pic soon it is almost busting at the seams. Well for anybody still with me at the end of this SUPER LONG post I hope you have a Wonderful Christmas Week with Friends and Family!

This Year is flying by....

I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by I mean Ijust had a child in April and now it is December geez. Well just like the time Wills childhood is flying by. Its crazy how one day can change so much he goes to bed with 2 teeth and wakes up with four hes inch worming everywhere and now he is full on crawling, he is just sitting up on his own and then hes puling up and trying to stand on his own . I love watching him reach all these milestones but it is also bittersweet b/c pretty soon he will be walking and then who needs mom. Luckily he is still a snuggler but that is slowly starting to go he likes to push away now when you are holding him. We have been so busy this month. We had a christmas card photo shoot that went well but I just havent had time to edit any of the pics yet (the above pics are the unedited versions and not necessarily the best ones bc i dont want to ruin the Christmas card surprise. His 7 month photo is also up there i thought it was to cute not to post this is totally him these days. And then right before this cold spell when it was still Fall we had a photo shoot in the neighbors yard bc she had the most beautiful yellow leaves under her tree. I was right on time with the shoot too i had kept putting it off and then 2 days after I took them they came and raked their yard talk about timing! I hope to post pics of Christmas decorations soon Our tree is lit but the ornament part is lacking so we gotta regroup and get on it. We bought decorations for the outside but Joey has not hung them yet I think the only thing completed is the faux mantle. that is my goal this weekend along with a million other things of course lol. Well just a quick post to update everyine. I must be on my way the shower call while little man is finally napping...IN HIS CRIB i might add. The new crib is great and he is taking to it pretty well.

Gobble Gobble

Cousins
The Holiday Season is among us and it has by far been the best ever this year, mostly in part of Will I mean everything means so much more with him around! I have loved getting him ready for Turkey Day and now Christmas! thanksgiving was fun he even tried a little grown up food and did pretty good but he didnt get to much gotta wait till Jan to get the clear on that! We had funs times with the family and lots of pumpkin flavored items which are my favorite! Now lets bring on Christmas! We went for our first (of many im sure) trips to see Santa this year. We went to Bass Pro and I cant tell you how stress free it was there was NO line and the pic was FREE yes FREE and it was was cuter than the mall Santa! I even got to take pics with my camera so i could fix em up in photoshop (see above) I am so excited we got our tree earlier this week and the lights are up. Tonight is ornament night which is gonna be soo much fun! I hope Will enjoys the tree. As far as christmas i have completed his Christmas and I think we did pretty good we got the Fisher Price Farm House for him to practice his pulling up on, we also got a dvd player for the car-this was my black friday deal i did not wake up early but they had a dual dvd kit for the same price i was gonna spend on a single dvd player and when i got there they still had tons so I got two for what i was gonna for one and saved over 40 bucks YEAH! other than those two big items we just got a few little things like he will even know but i feel good about it! Well gotta go little man is calling my name-its lunch time :)

What A Day!

Wills Baptism

Will was waving back to Father Bruce

Making the sign of the cross on Wills head

Ok so WOW I just so happen to turn on the evening news in between catching up on my tivo and what do I see? A story about the biggest crib recall in i dont know how long? And what brand is it???Storkcraft?! Did I hear correctly, am I really seeing that they are recalling my childs crib on national television for its risk of suffocating children? Oh but I should feel so safe because they are sending a free "repair" kit?! I think NOT I dont care how I am suppose to fix it but I dont think I will ever be able to place my child in this crib again! I guess the silver lining is that I havent exactly been putting him in his crib I mean my intentions are good but well he is a snuggler and my heart just melts when he cries in his crib sooo luckily he has been in our bed and not his crib for most of our life so he has been out of harms way. You can see the whole recall info here at their website storkcraft.com. Luckily we contacted the store that we purchased the crib from and although we dont have the box we do have our online confirmation number so we can return the crib for a new make/model which we have already picked out so I will let you know how it turns out. Now onto the highlight of the weekend This weekend was Will's baptism and so many of our friends and family joined us on this special day. Will was so good until the very end when i think he had enough of the paparazzi (aka mom) now I know why (keep reading). After the baptism we had a big family lunch and then Joey and I went to Babys r us to do a little Christmas shopping for Will. We found lots of goodys including his big gift the fisher price barnyard (its kinda like the girls kitchen/house) but its a barn for a boy. so I am slowly checking off my list and checking twice lol! I cant wait for the holidays this year. It is going to be such a special time this year with our newest edition getting to experience all the reasons for the season! But I am afraid I must go motherly duties call oh but before i say goodnight if anyone knows where I can get a cute stocking PLEASE let me know I so need a stocking for Will!! Oh Wait I almost forgot to explain why Will was a little fussy on Sunday, he was also a little fussy today so after bath time I happen to get a peek into his mouth and there are 2 more teeth that have broken the skin so he now has his two front bottom teeth and now he is working on his two front teeth on top needless to say it is making him a little grumpy! But i must say he is being a trooper,oh and he has officially realized that he can crawl wherever he wants for the longest he only crawled when he got really excited about something and had to get it but not he just wants to explore!

Whats going on around our house

I got my baby legs on so I keep my knees safe but I do that anyways by trying to stand up!

Jude gets a little jealous so this is his close up (while i was trying to snap a pic of Will)

We Love some bathtime

I also love my books!

Geez cant I just have a sip (nope)

So we have been having lots of fun around the Bousson household. Will gets into everything but he is still slow enough to catch i dont know what we will do when he decides to just get up and go. Currently you can hear a squeal of delight and then hes off but I am afraid sooner or later he will not give us such a warning! He loves his Mum Mums they are little rice husks that dissolve easily so it is mommy stress free and keeps him occupied for a while. I think I have already blogged about his sippy cup...he loves it so we are saying bye bye to bottle before he really has a chance to grow attached to them. I of course watch him eat to make sure he doesnt choke but it is nice to have about 15 min where he is in a zone of feeding to actually think about breakfast for me b/c I cannot tell you how long it has been since i have gotten to eat breakfast. We are sinking into a routine and it feels good we have about 2 naps a day and a consistent eating pattern. Life is good :) But Monday morning we hit a little bump in the road. I woke up with a cold and Will woke up with a rash all over his cheeks! At first i thought teething but then it spread all over his face and we didnt know what it could be?! I called the dr and they gave me the dose for benadryl. So after meds and a not so good nights sleep (he was up every other hour) we were rash free! That was until we got out of bed and the once face rash turned into a whole body rash including swelling. Wills poor hands looked like the stay puff marshmellow man! Of course me being the freak out mom called the dr asap, I mean I didnt want his airway to swell and impair his breathing after all his chubby cheeks were now chipmunk cheeks stored full of acorns for winter! They told me to increase the bendaryl dose and bring him in so that is what we did. It made me feel better that the dr agreed with me that he was extremely swollen (and this was a couple hrs AFTER the benadryl) he said that he had a viral induced uticaria meaning basically an allergic reaction to a virus. So now we just have to let it run its course and if its not gone in a week we go back. But good news is so far this morning we are rash free and just a litlle puffy and a little more chipper than the past two days! But I believe Will is trying to tell me it is lunch time so tata for now. Wills baptism is this Sunday so i will be posting pics soon :)
