I Fail!!!
So who is the worst blogger on the face of the plant....this girl! I do try and remember to blog and then well life gets in the way! As always time is flying by WAY to fast. The boys are growing like weeds while I desperately tru to catch up! will is just the craziest funniest 3 yr old I know ( and I know I am totally partial) and Brooks is the happiest, chunkiest 4 month old I know! A pic post of month 3 and 4 are in the works, 4 month shots are coming up and Wills begins preschool all too soon!. A beach getaway is coming up in the near future as well followed by our 5 year anniversary. I have fun plans in the works that include a super fun mom and daddy night out woot woot!
I mainly wanted to blog today to remember what my oldest little stinker said to me today. Our morning routine is pretty much the same every day, Joey leaves for work before we all get up, Brooks and I wake up before Will does and I feed him. Will usually comes in during the feeding and states that he is hungry to which my response is brother is eating and as soon as he finishes we will makeyou breakfast. There has never really been a problem with this routine until today. Joey went fishing at 5 and Brooks and I woke up a little after 8. I went in to check on Will and he was stirring. I had hopped back in bed to begin feeding Brooks just as Will was walking in the room saying he was hungry. Well he saw me getting ready to feed Brooks and has the most upset look on his face ( mad not sad) and said "thats not fair I said I was hungry first!!!" I trully didnt know what to say to this. I told him that I was sorry but baby brother had to eat real wuick and then we would make cinn rolls ( a sunday am ritual) he was not having it he kept sayin ghow unfair it was lol. He eventually chilled out but I did feel pretty bad. Looks like I will have to start getting something together for him before I feed Brooks in the morning to avoid any sibling rivalry hehe!
I need to rememebr to blog about things he says more often because he is such a hoot. and as I am typing this I just remember another conversation I never want to forget. Will has been potty trained since feb-ish. he took to pooping in the toilet very quickly which suprised me considering most moms will tell you this takes the longest to understand what to do. Well anyways we were driving down poplar avenue ( between graham and highland where there is no where to stop) and Will begins to kick and scream in his carseat. It scared me hald to death and I asked him what was wrong. He proceeds to yell at me that he is trying to keep the poop from coming out of his butt....say what?!?! So of course I freak, I sooo dont want to clean a poop filled carseat. I beg and plead with him to hold it until we can reach the gas station at highland ( which I envision being pure joy with a poopy 3 yr old and a 3month old in a carseat). so I step on the gas and just keep trying to talking him through it. Just shy of the station i hear Will let out a huge sigh of relief-Uh Oh-so I ask him if he has pooped in his drawers? to which he responds to me No Momma i just FARTED! I mean really did my kid just say what i think he did?? the rest of the day every time he passed gas he giggled and told me he farted again. WOW is all I have to say he is his fathers son lol
Well thats all i have for this evening :)

Monthly Updates
I always have this idea that its just gonna all of sudden click and I am going to be this super mom blogger. Well I fail again! Out of all of the hours of the day, sitting down to write a blogpost does not take much priority. Life around our house is going well. Will is in his CRAZY 3 stage. I am not sure when it will end but man he wears me out. I love when he is in a good mood and bouncing off the walls but oh man you better watch out if he is in a bad mood. Brooks is doing great he doesnt get much sleep during the day thanks to his brother but that means he sleeps through the night which is a good trade for his momma. He normally only fusses when he is dirty or hungry.
Breastfeeding is still going awesome. Its amazing how different it can be from one kid to another. All I could do was pump with Will but with Brooks I despise pumping so we pretty much on demand feed and if I know we are going out in public I will pump. Its a lot easier to feed a bottle in public but thats just me. I have so much stored up that I am afraid we might have to buy a deep freezer haha.
Will started his new school this week and so far he loves it. they are currently in the summer term so they bring in a lot of fun activities and he comes home telling me about all his fun. the hours are extended for summer to so I can pick him up as late as 6 if I need to. He hasnt stayed that long but 4:30 pick ups have been wonderful compared to 2:30. I feel like a get a little more one on one time with Brooks. speaking of one on one time I have decided to enroll Brooks in pdo one day a week. Part of me feels that he is WAY to young but I have also chosen to do it on a day that I dont have Will in school so that we can have a day together. I am hoping this will help things a bit bc I do feel that Will is a bit jealous at times. I will do an update to let you know if it helps and of course to update on how Brooks is doing with it.
anyways it is almost time for the 3 month post so here is the "newborn" and 2 month post you can see the one month post further down on the blog. I hope to blog more soon but we shall see how that goes

Update
Yeah so as always the blog slacker is back! After reading an article a friend posted on fbook ( I believe the title was kids need you ??) anyhow the whole thing made me realize Im just not cut out to be one of those super moms who manage it all ( kids, pinterest projects, blogging, etc) the most important goal is the time you spend with your kids and they dont care if your betty home-maker!! So with that being said I havent really made much of anything other than the kids a priority lately. Brooks has been doing great! Breastfeeding has been going great and hes been sleeping in long spurts giving this momma some rest at night. This week has proven challenging bc monday and then again last night my little man screamed his little heart out :( I'm not sure the reason Im thinking it could be an increase in dairy I consumed prior to the episodes so I plan to adjust that and see where that lands us.
Will has been doing great potty training I think its safe to say we are there. I have jokingly said he was 95% trained but last night he even slept in undies so i am gonna bump that up to 100% hes doing a little better attitude wise. I cant remember what Ive posted but hes great with his brother but the 3 yr old tantrums are out of control! He has started acting out and deliberately ignoring me.... No fun! Naps had all but disappeared at our house yet we were still going to bed late and brothers schedule has been waking everyone up early. Im thinking this had a direct correlation to the "tude" bc Will has napped all week and had an earlier bedtime and this has seemed to create a happier child. I hope to stick with this schedule, I have never been a schedule person but Im starting to realize its inevitable. There are still things that cant be controlled by a schedule ( i.e little mans feeding lol hes a pig!) but waking up early definitely makes me feel more productive :)
Oh and laundry rm update!! The rm was finished the weekend prior to my delivery and I have been in love with laundry and dishes ever since. The renovation allowed us to get a full sz dishwasher also so dishes and laundry are no longer the enemy. I need to stain the crown molding and then I will do a picture post! I also need to do Mr Brooks 2 wk check up post ( since he was 4 wks as of wed)!! And just bc no post is complete without a pic here are some phone pics

Adjusting
So I think we are starting to get the hang of things around here. Today was my first day alone, and we all survived lol. In fact I think it has been one of Wills best days thus far which leads me to think that having the extra people around the house was what might have been throwing him off. He actually fell sleep an hr ago which is a record for him!!!
Little man has become quite spoiled and appears to have his days and nights a little confused so I am hoping we can get that adjusted fairly quickly. I was going pretty strong but the past few nights have left me a little bit sleepy. Of course I wouldn't trade it for the world I just really don't think 2 adults and 2 kids can all sleep Ina queen sz bed lol so I must win this battle! Feedings are going great. I attempted a bottle of breast milk last night to see if a full belly would help the restless night but it caused screaming for 30 minutes so bottle are banned from this little guys diet as of right now haha.
We have our 2 wk check up we'd and I can't wait to see his weight and such.
I don't have too much to say today but didn't want to get to behind on blogging. So for now-goodnight :)

It's Scheduled this time......right??
We found out we were expecting in July 20 and that our second bundle of joy would be making his/her appearance in March 2012. Halloween we shared the news that baby number 2 was another baby boy and from then on out it was time to prepare for baby Brooks. Our original due date was March 21st, and as the time came near we scheduled our repeat c-sec for March 14th at noon.
Let me briefly remind everyone that we set Will's induction date for April 20th (almost 41 weeks) we were to be at the hospital at 5ish or something to start the process and wouldn't you know my water broke at home at around 3am. I woke up to a few contraction followed by....bam! The rest of the day was a disaster that ended with a beautiful baby boy so I can't complain!
Well fast forward the March 13th. We had a cookout, kind of a last little get together before our family dynamic changed. I made a point to get all ready ( showered, hair done etc) prior to going to sleep, hey you never know right? Well wouldn't you know I wake up to contractions-at 3am!!!! I got a little nervous, bc of last time I did not want my water to break at home. So I got up walked around, took another hot shower, anything to see if the contractions would disappear. I couldn't drink water bc I was no as of 2 am for the csec. We didn't have to be at the hospital till 10 but at around 4 I was waking Joey up bc I was in labor lol. He was like seriously and I was like yup!!
We had my sister meet us at the hospital to get Will. It broke my heart bc bc Will started crying for us as he let it tore me up but we didn't really have a choice. We got in and got situated on the monitors. I have no pain tolerance so I was only 1 cm but I was hurting pretty bad. I guess my contractions were doing something similar to my delivery with Will bc after 2-3 contractions on the monitor a nurse ( not my own) came walking in ( briskly I might add) and explained that she needed to place me on my side. Of course I freaked bc of the last time. The poor nurse probably thought I was nuts, I explained to her that fetal distress/questionable abruption led to an emergency csec under general anesthesia last time and that was NOT in my plans this time I needed a controlled environment ! She was super sweet and after they got everything under control they suggested I take steadily. I was hesitant but agreed and it totally relaxed me which I'm sure helped. Meanwhile they called my group and the on call dr personally called my dr to see what she wanted to do , and wouldn't you know she said lets do this. She came in early to deliver our Brooks. So off to surgery we went around 8-8:30 and our baby boy was born at 8:53.
The whole experience was much better than last time and the Or team was amazing, I had a minor meltdown in there as well but they were super sweet and comforting which put me at ease. Other than slight panic during the eidural and then a bit of nausea with a Blood pressure dip the whole surgery was done before I knew it.
Brooks was able to room in during our recovery and he has one of the nurse take care of him that cared for Will do that was super fabulous! After that we were rolled up to our room and the visitors began. Will was super excited to see us and his little brother. We have been super blessed with wonderful support from family and friends and neighbors this week. We are blessed beyond measure and enjoying being a new family of 4 :)

Life with Boy-s!
So I've been mia with a good reason I might add. Time has flown by since we welcomed Baby Brooks into the world. I can't believe he's almost a week old. Things has been going really well! Will is so good with Brooks but his testy 3 year old stage is still in full swing. He started it about 2-3 weeks before his brothers arrival so we were a little use to it luckily. Even with his little "tude" I wouldn't change it for the world, he can be so sassy and then so loving all in the same moment!
Brooks has been an angel. Maybe it's bc it's the second time around but my stress level doesn't seem near as high as when we brought Will home, I've been very laid back (for me haha) and I think that helps with his disposition. A perfect example would be yesterday during a routine poopy diaper change. I would consider myself a skilled diaper changer since I changed a million with Will and millions at work. Well let's just say I was taking way to long applying but cream and Neosporin to his circ bc he shot poop out all over the couch! I just laughed I mean what else can you do? Well then as I am getting Joeys assistance with the poop he starts spraying pee everywhere, again more laughing! It was a nice moment to have as parents to realize you can get through anything together. This same scenario with Will would have caused an all time stress level max for us but not anymore!!
Sleeping wise Brooks is pretty good, like all babies he pretty much eat, sleeps and poos. He's eating every 2-3 hours with cluster feelings along with a little fussiness during late afternoon. Night times usually allow for atleast one 4 hr stretch, I think working nights helps with the exhaustion factor. I am definitely tired but it doesn't seem as bad as the first go round. I even got a nap this afternoon :)
We love to cuddle but I am trying to not hold him 24/7 bc I know that won't be an easy thing to do once it's just me and the kiddos. Joey has been home with us since Friday and has to go back to work tomm . I have to admit I am a little sadist been really nice to spend the time together!
We have gotten out of the house a few times already. People aren't kidding when they say recovery from the 2nd c-section is way easier! I have felt great with a little soreness here and there but it's normally after I've done way more than I should. We ventured out for Brooks newborn pics today with LMacStudio and Lisa already posted a few and I am in love. Brooks actually cooperated and I cannot wait to see all the pics bc the sneak peek is amazing!! This post is already way too long so I will leave you with some pics :)
P.S. birth story to come....you know with me and my kiddos there's got to be some level of drama lol and Brooks arrival was no exception!!

Potty Trained?
So I feel like the past week and a half of my life has revolved around the potty. Last Tuesday we started wearing big boy pants in our house. Will was showing interest and I'm all for saving money in the diaper dept since we were about to start having to buy double.
Will has been doing so great! We only had one pee accident and a few poo ones but I've been told that is inevitable. I wasn't really sure what else needed to be done, he was going whenever we asked but not telling us if he needed to go. And then I tried to get him to go in public and that was a disaster!!!
So I figured if we at least minimized our diaper use I was cool with that. Well then we started this week. He continued doing well and even showing less resistance when asked to pee! His teachers at school even said he went 4 times with them! The turning point was yesterday when I walked in on him peeing (without being asked to) I was so excited and since then he has even said I need to pee a few times.
So today I bit the bullet and attempted a day of outings!! We overslept for moms group ( boo bc I was really looking forward to discussing the chapter of our reading but the rest was nice too) so when we finally got out of bed we met up with a friend and her children at the play area at the wolf chase mall. So we made it from the house to the mall with no accident. After we ate lunch I took him to the potty and after much argument he finally peed! Then we played and the we pee'd again before we left and he went without hesitation. :) talk about a happy momma. So we rode the carousel as a reward a went to see daddy before heading back to our neck of the woods. We made it home dry and when we got home he said he needed to go and even went #2. Naptime was a success and so was dinner. We are now watching tv and he is at it again !!! So although I know this is just the beginning I am still so proud of my little man. And even though pee and poo and potential incidents will not leave my daily topics of conversation maybe I can stop going crazy about it haha!! So now you know every little details of my sons bodily functions I will try to curve the pee posts lol!

Potty Training
So we are in the midst of potty training and this time really seems to be going well. Will seems more interested and is taking to it a little more. He still doesn't verbalize when he wants to go but he is atleast going without a fight when I ask him to. The only rebellious times are right after naps but hey we are attempting it. In the past two days we have only had accidents with number 2 he has peed everytine in the potty so that is an accomplishment itself!! Who knows how long it will take to be completely potty trained but I figure if we start now he will be potty trained by kindergarten right lol!

Maternity Pics

so Sunday after church we packed up the yukon and headed downtown for a little impromptu photo session. I had just shot a family session down there the day before so I wanted to grab the tripod and give it a shot. I was wanting to get our wedding photographer to take pics for us but I couldnt nail down joey for a day to do a session so these were just in case. And after going through all of them my conclusion was that Joey and the tripod did a pretty good job :) I am really happy with them and cant wait to frame a few. And for the record I am digging this blue wall downtown so for all my clients interested in downtown sessions this will definitely make it in the mix!

Wow!!!!
So I will start off by saying that I just got my stroller today so these thoughts may be a bit premature but I am already overly impressed so I wanted to let everyone know my "first impression"of my new Bob stroller!
I was pleased to see that when I got the stroller out of the box the only thing needing installing were the wheels and after reading the instructions this was fairly simple. After that we were in business, the stroller isn't near as heavy as I was expecting but it is Huge so don't be surprised! A friend of mine with the older version said she read somewhere that the new model is 8 inches smaller in width, not sure that this is true but it fits through my front door fully open so I am pleased. It's super easy turning also made it easy to get out my door and down the steps -you would have to know my house but maneuvering my fixed wheel jogging stroller out my front door was enough to throw me in a fit of rage!
Will fit comfy into the seat and was super excited that the canopy pulled over do far, he is fascinated with the canopy on strollers! It even started to rain as we were outside and the canopy covered him from head to toe!
We live in east Memphis so our sidewalks suck but strolling along was virtually bump free :)so needless to say I am already so happy with my purchase. The only cons I would say are the price and the size , but I've learned in the past you get what you pay for and as far as size I don't think there is such a thing as a compact double lol! Well after all that typing here's a few pics.
Oh and one last thing READ the instructions on opening and closing its not hard but will def take a few times doing it to become a pro lol!

OUCH...that hurt a little!
Yeah so going back to my previous post, I finally bit the bullet and purchased a double jogger......the verdict? I got the BOB Revolution Duallie. I am hoping that I made the right decision. I have the worst buyers remorse ( with just about everything) so until it gets here and I test it out I think the " I am going to vomit feeling is here to stay". I really cant complain we have not had to buy anything for Mr. Brooks. Besides a few gowns here and there the poor child is already getting the hand me downs HA! So in all reality this is the only big purchase we've made. I tried desperately to get a good deal on one of these suckers but they are apparently worth their weight in gold bc good deals were almost impossible to find! I did find one website that offered a fairly reasonable discount with no tax and free shipping so all in all I am sure I save a pretty penny. I of course had to buy the carseat adapter as well and thos BOB people really love their stuf bc it wasnt cheap either. I hope it will be as wonderful as everyone says they are. Once I get to test it out I will give my two cents but until then I will just wait patiently for my mommy mobile to arrive :)

Progress
So this week I have definitely been nesting.I have done tons of cleaning and today we finally got our new dining room table. I cannot believe I found this at Ashley Furniture for 199 bucks!!!! I swore I would never shop there again but I couldn't pass up this deal. And surprisingly after putting it together the quality is actually pretty darn good I was skeptical bc of the price but most things I liked enough to spend money on would not fit the "look" of our little east Memphis dining room. So this is a winner in my book. Now to just decide what color to paint the walls???? I'm thinking a light green? But all suggestions are welcome! Next room on the agenda is the boys room, which we better hurry seeing as we only have about 6 weeks. Everything is pretty much done we just have to paint the walls and move out one piece of furniture.
I've also been washing all of Wills baby clothes getting things ready for Brooks when he makes his arrival. Slowly marking things off the checklist! Now if I could just figure out my double stroller dilemma?!? I am having the hardest time deciding on one and it is driving me mad I feel like all ive done all week is research strollers can we say exhausting! I think I've made up my mind and then I read an awful review that has me second guessing myself! And then don't even get me started on price geez!!!!! I don't mind spending money ( just ask the hubby lol) but it is just killing me how much they go for but with all the running around we do I know we need something sturdy. So who knows what we will end up with but I'm sure I will def blog about it! But oh will here are some pics to make this post worth your reading
