OUCH...that hurt a little!

Yeah so going back to my previous post, I finally bit the bullet and purchased a double jogger......the verdict? I got the BOB Revolution Duallie. I am hoping that I made the right decision. I have the worst buyers remorse ( with just about everything) so until it gets here and I test it out I think the " I am going to vomit feeling is here to stay". I really cant complain we have not had to buy anything for Mr. Brooks. Besides a few gowns here and there the poor child is already getting the hand me downs HA! So in all reality this is the only big purchase we've made. I tried desperately to get a good deal on one of these suckers but they are apparently worth their weight in gold bc good deals were almost impossible to find! I did find one website that offered a fairly reasonable discount with no tax and free shipping so all in all I am sure I save a pretty penny. I of course had to buy the carseat adapter as well and thos BOB people really love their stuf bc it wasnt cheap either. I hope it will be as wonderful as everyone says they are. Once I get to test it out I will give my two cents but until then I will just wait patiently for my mommy mobile to arrive :)

Progress

So this week I have definitely been nesting.I have done tons of cleaning and today we finally got our new dining room table. I cannot believe I found this at Ashley Furniture for 199 bucks!!!! I swore I would never shop there again but I couldn't pass up this deal. And surprisingly after putting it together the quality is actually pretty darn good I was skeptical bc of the price but most things I liked enough to spend money on would not fit the "look" of our little east Memphis dining room. So this is a winner in my book. Now to just decide what color to paint the walls???? I'm thinking a light green? But all suggestions are welcome! Next room on the agenda is the boys room, which we better hurry seeing as we only have about 6 weeks. Everything is pretty much done we just have to paint the walls and move out one piece of furniture.
I've also been washing all of Wills baby clothes getting things ready for Brooks when he makes his arrival. Slowly marking things off the checklist! Now if I could just figure out my double stroller dilemma?!? I am having the hardest time deciding on one and it is driving me mad I feel like all ive done all week is research strollers can we say exhausting! I think I've made up my mind and then I read an awful review that has me second guessing myself! And then don't even get me started on price geez!!!!! I don't mind spending money ( just ask the hubby lol) but it is just killing me how much they go for but with all the running around we do I know we need something sturdy. So who knows what we will end up with but I'm sure I will def blog about it! But oh will here are some pics to make this post worth your reading

Little Moments

Its little moments like this that have me struggling with so many emotions these days and possibly also the fact that I am 32 weeks preggo. I cannot wait for the day that Brooks arrives and our family expands to that with 4 members, but at the same time my heart breaks with the thought that Its going to rock this little boys world to the core. It seems as if so many of my friends children understand that siblings are on the way but my little angel does not....at all! I know so many moms have been in this position and this to shall pass I just pray for a smooth transition into becoming a big brother :) and i hope he knows mommy is always here to cuddle

My Fave Workout Shirt!!!

So last year I purchased a workout shirt from skinnyrunner.com. While I am not a runner per say the shirt was too cute and now she has more up for sale. I personally went for the 80's themed shirt this time (flock of seagulls). I am such a sucker for anything 80's. Anyhow the shirts are cute a fab and fit perfect and nice a comfy for my hour long sessions on the arc trainer ( oh how I cant wait to get back to those!!!) Just thought I would share the love and tell everyone about them :) and even if you dont want a shirt, or dont run (like me) her blog is still hilarious check it out!!!!

And just because

Wow I am on a roll today. This makes post number 3 I believe woo hoo for resolutions. Well as the title of this post explains just because...
I want to remember this moment for the rest of my life

I am totally head over heels for this little boy He makes life such a joy. All toddlers have there moments and he is no exception but the past week has been magical. It seemed as if the tantrums were nowhere to be found and all that filled the air were giggles from the little guys sweet mouth. We had so much fun enjoying the crazy warm weather and having deep heart to heart conversations bc thats what you do with a 2.5 yr old right. He seems so much older when you talk to him and its to cute. I must start using this blog to document the crazy things he says bc his words too funny! I love his enthusiasm it works wonders for a sour mood whenever one might sneek up on me. As I type he is flying his "hand" airplane at the back door with Jude on the other side ( while he insisting we play so I must go) God making me his momma was one of the greatest blessing I have ever been given. I cannot wait to see what unfolds as we step into the future. I LOVE being a momma esp to Mr Will Bousson and soon to be Brooks B!

Oh and just bc I want to cherish all moments our current conversation is including the fact that Will " needs a tissue" so he can wipe his boogers. HA!

Miss Ainsley is ONE

We had such a great time celebrating this little ladies first birthday. It was a Winter Wonderland theme and everything looked fabulous. My sis in law knows how to throw a party for sure! Ainsley was too cute with her cake and her presents, when she could get to her presents of course Will was very helpful in that department lol. Good thing for her that she was enjoying reading her cards more than the presents or she might have had a word with her cousin lol. I cannot believe how fast all these little babies grow next year around this time I will be starting to think of ideas for a first bday....CRAZY!!! Time flies when your having fun right! Oh and just FYI my step sister made the cakes for the celbration and not only do they look fab but they tasted divine!!! If anyone needs her info let me know!!

Preggo Craziness

Ok so does anyone else feel like this new year is already rushing by?!?! Can we put a slow mo on this month. It has finally hit me that we are in single digit count down mode till Brooks makes his appearance. 9 weeks to go....CRAZY it seems like just yesterday I found out I was preggo and now I am huge and at the end...what?!?!?!
I can honestly say that this pregnancy has been a much better one than Wills, you see Will was a little stubborn in utero. Brooks has tried to be like his brother in some areas but overall it has been a much more pleasant experience. I am still having contractions like I did with Will but for some crazy reason my OB will not give me procardia this time. I am a t a new office but we did discuss the fact that I needed terb and procardia with Will so I would more than likely need it this time but everytime I have asked for it I have been declined and given the response " we will just decrease you working" Well hello I only work 2 days a weeks on top of no pto mean this mommas got to work till its time to go to the hospital. So to any of my medical friends out there do you guys know of any reason they are shy-ing away from the procardia. It was no cure all with Will but it sure made life better. and up until this point I have really only had 3 times where the contractions were just crazy but as I am reaching the end they are pretty much happening whenever I am active ( ie every time I go to work-boo).
and on one more medical note ( dont you love how the nurse is asking questions hehe) has anyone had issues with anemia while preggo ( as in anyone that reads my blog I know tons of mommas have to deal with this). I was anemic with Will but never required ion supp. and now with Brooks they are saying I need some. And I am totally feeling the effects as in being dizzy, out of breath tired, etc. I am not a huge meat eater and I have heard that the otc meds cause "other" issues and it can take 3 months to correct. I guess Im just kinda freaking since I will be having a repeat section so my nurse-y brain is thinking about blood loss, transfusions, etc ( we did establish I am dramatic right lol),. So any who any info on this situation would be greatly appreciated. I plan on talking to my Dr. when I go monday they just called me after my lab draw with my glucose test and told me i needed a supp but I dont know how low I am??
So enough medical mumbo jumbo if you are still with me lets get into the good stuff! I cannot believe I am almost 30 weeks preggo. I feel so bad that I have not taken as many pics this time but one preggo belly is just like another right? Just say yes so I can feel better about myself. I am feeling good with the exceptions of the above. The belly is officially ginormous so that is making things a little more interesting but I love it. Brooks is soooo much more active than his brother was. I cant quite decide if thats a good or bad thing yet, I will let you know once he is here. The weight gain has jumped up dramatically up unitl 20 weeks I was only up 3 lbs. Well from 20-24 wks i gained 7 and from 24-28 I gained 8lbs so we are measuring in at a 18lb gain. I was about 46lbs gain with Will so maybe we can keep this on ein the ball park. Which brings me to my cravings which will all but guarantee and continuous weight gain till the end lol. I need everything in sight. Brooks ( like how I am blaming him and not myself) wants all things sweet and full of caffiene. Its quite sad I have NO self control. And its not really a highlight of the "week" since it was a couple weeks ago but my highlight is that I passed my glucose test, and you can see why I was obviously worried about this right :)
So all in all life has been great and now as the countdown begins-9 weeks WHAT?!?! I am getting so excited to meet this little booger. I am curious to see if he will resemble Will or have his own look. I wonder what his personality will be like since he is a wild man currently, who might I add likes to crank it up come night time...UH OH! And most of all I wonder how Will is going to take all of this. Saturday was a busy day for us ( more to come on that) so by the time we got home Will was passed out so before going to sleep I just laid there with him on my chest for a while and it really has been the first sad mommy moment I have had. It hit me that all to soon things are going to change so much around here and I just hope that Will adjusts well to the new things that will be taking place. I can honestly say that I dont really think he gets that a new brother is in the making. He is sooo smart about everything its just crazy watching his little brain work but when it comes to Brooks about all he gets is that there a baby in mommas tummy., which might I add he has called baby Jesus more than once so obviously we are a little confused hehe. I know he will be an awesome big brother and as they grow they will be the bestest of friends but coming home...thats what scares me! Having a repeat section will mean no heavy lifting for 2 weeks as well as no driving etc. Im pretty sure that a 30lb toddler fits in the heavy lifting part and no driving means no playdates...yikes!!!! So the first 2 weeks has me a little uptight. I hope to discuss possible dates with the dr at my next appt so I can start planning Joeys time home with us an then my mothers time home with us. I feel that if I can make the 2 weeks as functional as possible then we will be doing great! So if you could say a little prayer that would be great!!!
Geez I had no idea I had written so much, if your still with me wow!I dont have any preggo pics to update this with ( shame on me I know) but I promise I a m working on it!

Cheers to 2012

Ok so I couldnt come up with a very original title...shoot me! To be honest if I had my way I would not be starting off the new year at work ( with a crappy assignment, contracting and such) but hey you do what you gotta do and they say as night weekenders we gotta work all the holidays so here I am. At 0400 things have finally calmed down so here I am taking a second to blog. To say I have neglected my blog would be the understatement of the year. I had good intentions after getting preggo with baby #2 of weekly posts etc but the truth is life just got in the way! Im not really "sorry" life got in the way of blogging I just hate that I dont have a good record of the last few months. I didnt start this blog till the end of my pregnancy with Will so I guess the boys boy have an even slate this way lol.
So anyhow Cheers the 2012. 2011 was a good year but I am so looking forward to what 2012 has in store for my little family. Resolution wise I guess I havent really thought that far ahead. If I had to name a few now I would say that I would like to blog more-atleast once a week maybe? I know it wont be till summer but i will want to shed the baby weight. I believe at my last preggo post i was only register a +3 on the weight scale, well that number has DRASTICALLY changed lol. Lets just say that this month I am hoping to see a low number on the scale bc the last two visits have not been so pretty :) But hey its all worth it ( and am I really dumb enough to think that all the coke products and crap food wouldnt catch up with me???) and my most important resolution will be to document my family in photos more this year. So get ready for picture overload. Since becoming preggo I have been hardcore into my photography mainly due to the fact that my maternity leave will pretty much be unpaid so luckily taking pics has provided me a way to still support the fam, but with that being said I feel like I have missed out on documenting so many fun things that have happened either bc i was away on a shoot or bc I was just too burned out to get my camera out when it mattered! So 2012 will be well documented!!! Seeing as how i no longer have anyone to watch the kids for a few hrs during the week and I work weekends I wont be doing as many photo sessions either so this should help too!
So I guess I am already doing good with one resolution (blogging hehe) but not so great with another (pics) I dont have a pic to document my new years eve but I did want to jot the memory down bc it was so much fun. New Years Eve was a gorgeous day in Memphis. The weather was fantastic. So after sleeping in the family went to the grocery store to stock up on goods ( to help with the eating crap food part) and after that we came back home. I of course went to bed to get ready for a night of work while the boys played. Well after sleeping great for a change I woke up to a really quiet house. I assumed the boys had left but when I walked into the living area I saw that they were out back playing. Nothing crazing just building dirt tracks for all of Wills cars. So we all just hung out in the backyard for the rest of the afternoon. It was so peaceful and fun. We even cleaned a few of the leaves up but we still have a long way to go on that project. After paying outside me and Will came in to lay down for another little cat nap while daddy cooked dinner. We had yummy steak and veggies. And then it was time for work. I love peaceful days like this with family since we dont get them that oftern bc of our crazy work schedules.
So I hope everyone out there had a WONDERFUL New Years and maybe come tuesday I will post another blog hehe!!

Rocking Around The Christmas Tree

Whats been Happening

So I am 24 weeks and the belly is ever expanding.
At my Dr. appt a week ago I gained 7 lbs in 1 month eek! But since I was only at 3 lb gain for the first 20 wks I guess its not so bad ( or at least thats what I am gonna tell myself) So Im up to 10lb total this pregnancy. Im hoping to keep it down from my pregnancy with Will but Brooks has gained quite the appetite. And yes you read that right we have decided on a name (old news if your on f book but oh well)
Brooks Edward Bousson
will be here before we know it.

In other news this little guy now loves his soccer ball lol

I had a session at shelby farms the other day when it was finally pretty after all the rain so I took advantage and got some pics of my boy!I am loving the lighting!

The Christmas Tree is up and Will has had a blast with it!

I feel like we have been so busy lately. Im looking forward to some downtime. There are so many things around that house that need to be done. Now that Winter is approaching picture taking will slack off and I plan to kick into high gear on the boys room, play rm etc. We got a new stove which has me itching to redo our kitchen but that task will have to come way after Brooks makes his entrance into the world :)
Hope to have more fun posts coming up soon :)

In no particular order

The Pumpkin Patch 2011
We went to Pridy Farms(sp?) this year to get our annual pumpkins and to be honest I enjoyed it more than driving a million miles to Cedar Hill Farms. I think we will be making this our annual pit stop from now on. Will got a kick out of picking out pumpkins and riding the train and just running around in general. Overall...Success!

As always we have made several trips to the zoo
This was Will in desperate need of a haircut

And of course I had to get some Fall Pics of my little man. If I can ever get around to editing my own pics maybe I can post more lol

A little earlier this fall we tried our hand at soccer...Epic Fail. Will was not a fan and I will leave it at that. The above pic is from the 5 min he actually enjoyed it on the first day lol!

and also a little further back in time we took Will to his first Airshow. Since he loves airplanes. It was miserably hot and we got there way to early so needless to say it wasnt a disaster but if we go next year we will come up with a better game plan. Will did enjoy seeing the panes fly but he fell asleep before he could walk around and see any.

think thats it for now more to come soon!

18 weeks

Ok so first off WOW! I am soo behind on the blogging front that I dont think I will ever catch up but I am going to try. believe it or not I have a sticky note at home on my computer about all the things I want to blog about. But since I am not at home with my computer full of pics I will just have to post and add pics later! I wont spend to much time updating in this post i will just do a preggo update since I have failed miserably at doing so this whole pregnancy!!! Which I guess is only fair to Will since I started trully blogging after his delivery! So as the title states I am 18 wks ( and some odd days)

My Preggo Tid Bits:

How far along- 18weeks

highlight of the week- making it through it without calling the dr or going to the dr! Yes I hate to say it but the contractions have already started and although I asked for my lovely friend procardia we have not been reunited yet. But seeing as how the contractions have been pretty frequent since they started at 17 weeks I am hoping that I will get my meds when I go to the dr on friday! (p.s for anyone who sees the word contractions and freaks-have no fear they dont dilate me they just have a very strong frequent pattern so either way I would rather NOT have them bc they literally take me off my feet!) But really who was I kidding thinking I would have a normal pregnancy?!?! My bebes just dont like my womb hehe!

weight gain- hmmm well this is tricky as I said before my original apt ( that was before my actual 1st appt-are you following?) I was 153 which was like a miracle in the first place. Well my actual 1st appt i was 156 then the following mth I was 157 and then the next appt I was 159. Well then i went 2 weeks ago ( about the contractions) and I was back down to 156 sooo I guess the answer would be none??? But taking note of my current eating habits and lack there of on the exercise front the number may be way up there come the 28th!

cravings/aversions

As I just stated my appetite is NOT lacking thats for sure. Still loving me some caffeine which I know is terrible but I totally break for fountain cokes!!! My taco bell cravings have slowed down. I was on a Lennys kick there for a minute and now pretty much any food will do. the nausea has slacked up so it has definitely allowed for an increased appetite. Nothing really sounds gross I just prefer somethings over others. On a healthy note I am loving some apples!!!!

maternity clohes- I am still wearing all my jeans/pants but my shirts are getting a little snug so I have busted out the ruched side maternity tops (I am kinda sorta obsessed with them and couldnt wait to have enough belly to fit into them)

gender- We find out the 28th if we choose to find out then. We have a few secrets up our sleeves about revealing the gender so I guess everyone will have to wait and see. As far as a feeling I have mixed reviews. I originally thought girl but then dreamed I had another boy and now I feel like its a girl again so who knows!! Will continues to say he is having a sister so we will see???

movement- unfortunately NO which makes me super sad, I cannot wait to feel lots of tiny kicks. I felt Will pretty early if I remember correctly like 16-17 weeks but this time I havent been so lucky but hopefully the kicks will come soon.

nursery- this baby and Will are going to be sharing a room ( thanks to our tiny east memphis home and its 3 bedrooms) and with that being said all the furniture I have put in the room is white except for my black crib. So I am now on the hunt for a white ( jenny lind) crib. So if anyone knows where I can find one?! I dont have a particular theme in mind. Will has pottery barn bedding so if its a boy i will get the matching set and if its a girl I will simply use creams and khakis. Im not one much for pink girly fru fru stuff ( to each their own)

I think thats about it. Our big US is the 28th. More importantly than finding out if we are having a boy or girl I cannot wait to see our little nugget on the screen and hopefully see that he/she is perfectly healthy and well on his/her way to having a wonderful entry into this world.

On the agenda for tomm taking pics of my little man is some tall cotton. Maybe I can get a belly shot then. and later in the afternoon its pumpkin patch time with Will, Daddy and Mommy. We have to pick some winners to carve :)

So until I post again...
